I always thought that Italians were extra religious with Catholic holidays. Even the gangsters in Sicily supposedly don't do bad things on Easter, like the Moroccan gangsters who also don't get active during this current Ramadan month

Well, I sort of expected more leagues to just take a breather today and then continue tomorrow when it is also national holiday and nobody is working. Don't get me wrong, I am glad they don't, this way I have something to watch while suffering extended family but it is sort of brutal to the players. They are treated worse than clerks in Supermarkets, at least in Croatia they get a day off on major holidays 
It's definitely brutal in England, I think the only western league that forces players to play on Christmas/Boxing Day. It's not even about religion it's well -- if you can't rest on Christmas, when the hell can you eh?
But yeah, terrible treatment honestly, but I suspect it is more a TV and fan demand (fans should start demanding footballers rest but they want them to play?).

My thoughts exactly haha entertainment industry. Except they have gruelling schedule ALL year EVERY year until they break.
I still wonder if a proper football season in a calendar year can fix this European problem (as in, season starts and ends in the same year, so year end is proper holiday like the rest of the world).

Welcome to "Who will let us down this time" week!
In England, Spurs and Arsenal the capital teams are the ones playing with the hearts of their fans but it seems even in Italy, we have the jokers playing around as well: looking at you Juventus, Lazio (also a capital team) -- Sassuolo and Sampdoria losing don't really count, I guess?
So is it just me or do I not see any games in Italy today? They take Easter seriously, huh?

its crazy how Mourinho cant find the way to make Roma a better team and big again.
I lost all respect I once had for Mourinho, I'll go even that far to say he is only good to coach small teams. He has that philosophy when everybody is defending and dying on the pitch and that is easiest to sell at smaller clubs. Even Inter as one of his greatest successes can be put under small club since they were nowhere near favorites for title that season. I still can't believe he made Eto'o play right back. That sort of mentality does not go hand in hand with top clubs.I could not totally agree more and I was just saying in the big Serie A thread actually that this is the guy who prizes trophies in the current season more than the future of the next season, which is why I have a big feeling he will prioritize the 2nd leg rather than this weekend game. I thought he was a changed man when he first took over and the way he just transformed Tammy Abraham into a main striker rather than a backup one but then he reverted back to his old ways and they are scraping through. I do not miss him at my club, see even Conte can turn us into such a beautiful team again (when he has time to prepare).

New challenge is up, this week we have 2 nice derby games. Napoli - Roma from Serie A where I expect a lot of goals and hopefully Napoli getting back to title race and putting one over Mou. From La liga even better game Sevilla - Real, this is the one where Real basically secures the title but I am thinking they will loose the points this time around.

looking at Inter that season, and their main goal-scorer Milito, it is kind a fascinating that he found him to be the best when needed and winning all three main trophies that season, but it was a counter-attack play, that was hard to watch, and should not be respected
I've always had an opinion that Mourinho tactics had always somewhat depend on luck rather than him be a tactical genious his ideology of football is archaic, playing dirty and word games, but when things aren't going well he's always pointing fingers individually to players and takes all the praise when the team is able to achieve something. It's one thing to play counter-attacking football because your opponent is possesion-obssessed and something else entirely if you have a team that you can distinctivly dominate for 90 minutes regardless of how inferior they are on paper.

You are lucky you guys who can see all those. I watched 15 minute summary show of all the goals and my mind is blown,,, literally like I am so heavy in the head just watching all of that. Really, Italian football has changed a lot (except for when we praise it and we get nil nil results).

One of the most strange Serie A season i see, a rain of goals in all the matchs, no strongs teams in the whole season.

One of the rare days you watch an early game and you actually enjoy it (or my standards aren't so demanding on Sunday afternoon maybe?) but Immobile hattrick was not bad to watch, too bad Lazio can't play like this every game. Of course, if they'd just scored one goal fewer, I'd have an exact to kick off Sunday.

In today's first match Empoli drew 0-0 with Spezia. In the next matches I do not expect any surprises and I bet on the favorites: Inter will defeat Verona at their stadium, and Juventus will win in the away match against Cagliari.
It was an easy win for Inter Milan, they were able to get an early and that eased the rest of game for them, but Juventus on the other are haing to take the hard route, they conceded just after 10 minutes but were able to equalise just before the break, they should be able to get the job done in the 2nd half.

Remind me guys if results are not up on Wednesday, latest.
New one is up, this time no big derby games but we are still gonna have some fun. Barcelona again in it but I will try to avoid them in the next weeks, too much Barca in last challenges. Guess I am biased since I am choosing games on the criteria - game I would like too watch most

Thanks for grading, I actually almost don't remember at all until I really read my notifications or happen to be online when it pops up like last night heh. Notifications used to be useful but now they are so many I miss some anyway.
Barca again, no one's going to complain. The way they're playing lately is such a treat, really.
casper: Napoli, yeah, too much heartbreak for me past seasons (betting wise of course, not really invested in this league) but good luck. I'd love for them to win it, and after killing off Atalanta the way they did, if they find a way to sustain that rest of season, phew.

regarding matches, yeah, Levante - Barcelona is a bit predictive match, probably we will all go for an away win, but Napoli is also closer to home win as well
tie-breaker will be important in this round, and Napoli to stay with clean sheet
at least we have solid title fight in Calcio this season, with Juventus lose last week, I am with Napoli till the season end
shitty season for my teams, Cagliari is again fight to avoid relegation, Everton as well, I used to have "all done" in this part of the season, will all my clubs in clear middle of the table, no stress
