Milan definitely overperforming with the final strong breaths of old hands still displaying killer instincts (Zlatan whenever he can play, and Giroud eager to prove he isn't past his sell-by date) if not on the pitch then in training, I'm sure those playing the first-11 are forever aware they have to perform or get displaced by their older teammates.

Fiorentina got me off to good day but when I think they can do another goalfest they show up with a 1-nil win ha! And now Osimhen gets the goal he's been deserving with his plays.

I really want Milan to win this Serie A because they really need for be again one powerfull team not only in Italy also in Europe i really miss the Milan team in the Champions League being powerfull.

I miss the times when they are a title contender and have stars like Ronaldo, Cafu, Dida Maldini Shevchenko etc

Juve is on track, another round, another win, it all seems to fit for them
would be a killer to see them winning a title, after start like this, and having Ronaldo gone

Milan is up at the moment, and will probably finish it tonight against Empoli (should be a clean sheet for them as well)
Juve was bad in the first half of the season but now they are looking more and more like the old Juve. Winning it out with one goal to spare and collecting points. I feel like Inter and Napoli blew their chances for a title in maybe one of the easiest Serie A seasons ever. Inter at least got a title last season but this was once in a decade or maybe even more chance for Napoli.

I have no idea how Milan has that many points. Whenever I watch them they are quite bad and they have weakest squad among title contenders, at least on paper. I guess another case of champions mentality.

^ Aren't you glad you did the hedge? Didn't watch the match but yeah looking at it, seems like they shot themselves in the foot, home team had 3 shots and scored 2 of them? Should have kept their calm at 2-1 but then you never know what kind of pressures the midfield caused if there was that sending off.

You also get a nice freebet back, hope you didn't waste it Wink

What do you think, should I cash out or go for it?

Remember this guys? I don't know why I chose to put Sassuolo in my bet, I'm usually just never even betting on Italian games and this was some teams I even didn't know anything about.

The worst is Salernitana got 1 goal early on so I thought it was gone.

But I took your advice and had put a hedge earlier on too, so I was feeling comfortable anyway.

Sassuolo scored 2 before half time and had all of the chances after that so it was never a problem until they decided to go on playing with 10 men for 25 minutes which was really not desired at all. Of course, they let in the equalizer Sad Damn you Sassuolo damn you

Good thing for the hedge so I got something back, or that's what I tell myself to comfort myself lol

I remember times, when Serie C1 and C2 entered bookies some twenty or more years ago, when there were seven-eight 1:1 scores per round (and odds on draws were between @1.8 and @2, totally different from all other leagues)
Italian leagues are still the only league from top10 that has odds under 2 on draws in last game week when both teams need draw to accomplish their goals. And what is worse it comes almost always, just play them when you see them.

Can't imagine 2 clubs from PL calculating like that. I could have used some uglier word instead of calculating as well Smiley

I never even knew what the odds was for Serie A 5 years ago wow,,, all I ever knew about Italian football is from international competitions and then sometimes Champions League, but yes, the stereotype was always low scoring and draws. Which is why I seldom got interested, but ever since you could see Italian teams playing with attacking sweepers in Champions League, I guess I can say I saw Roma and Atalanta,,, this has changed but odds wise they did not update.

I am from Asia and I can say the fans and even clubs here always look to PL for templates. No fan in the world likes to watch teams playing for draws (I think).

Same here I guess,,, I always thought of Italian league as the draw league. Found it not to be now I check games but I find it funny that the most of us picked Napoli when surely more people are confident in the ability of established strikers in Milan  Grin

No,,, not for me to criticize as even myself went for Napoli, but I thought I would be the smart guy but it seems only rdbase and Hoody Hoo were the smart ones Smiley

Almost 40 points away from Number One but I will still try!

Serie A looking a lot like the Serie A I used to think it was. Still, makes it super interesting as a contest, and the home of golden oldies becoming matchwinners Wink

back to topic, Juventus is back, and maybe it is a best moment to put something on them to win title
agree that if Napoli miss this season, they will probably miss any season

Man, i see the same as you. If this teams (Inter, Napoli and Milan) dont go full throttle , Juventus its on his back and can be an amazing comeback. Vladovic suits perfect to the team and its doing a great job so keep a eye on that.

Not sure if I said it in this thread or on another chat but right during the winter break I was saying that that could be the real trick for Turin's Old Lady -- to find a way to freshen up the squad (which they sort of did) and maintain their form, because it wouldn't be easy at all for the others to do the same.

Was counting on Napoli home win but hey, at least someone won the match. Serie A looking a lot like the Serie A I used to think it was. Still, makes it super interesting as a contest, and the home of golden oldies becoming matchwinners Wink

It is really though to predict how these big games will finish this season but that makes it interesting and very fun to watch. I agree we will probably get the champion in last game week and that is again great for the league.

I rate Milan's team lowest from the top 4 and that is why I am surprised when they get full 3 points in games like yesterday. If Napoli doesn't take the title this season, they will never take it  Wink

I couldn't agree more, It's a no-brainer taking the risk on Inter Milan given their recent horrendous form, and It doesn't look to be getting any better, I have a parlay that includes them on Under 3.5 goals and that's valued @ 1.76, I think I'm pretty much more comfortable with that odds and its risk. However, in the pool, one cannot go against Inter yeah, at least not against Salernitana, so I have Inter to win 2-0.
Yeah, you have to pick them for the pool but it is a perfect case of game when skipping the bet on ML is best action to take. Under 3.5 looks like free money but I generally don't play under games so skipping it. It is so strange to watch the game and cheer that nobody scores the goal Smiley I just can't do it.
Your lucky you didn't.
Inter Milan had some kind resurgence over this weekend match by putting in 5 and managed a cleansheet to top it off.
These top teams decide on a whim when they want to score or when they just let the other lower teams do all the scoring.
No wonder I am always near or right at the bottom of the pool table week in and week out.
Guess AC Milan decided to play for once and everybody thought Napoli would win the match except for me and one other guy.
But now AC Milan are on top of the Serie A table.
These top teams are so close in points thus far it's tough to see who will be champions by the end of this season.

You really just can't tell how the season will end yet, neither of these team have proven to be consistent, Ac Milan have gotten 6 really important points against Inter and Napoli, but will they stop their habit of dropping it back against less tougher teams ? This season will likely play out till Week 38, 10 more weeks, and after this week only Juventus of other competitors have a realistic chance of remaining in CL/EL, leaving them at a bit of disadvantage and looking at how long their injury list is, I'd say their chances are really slim, even though their unbeaten run is impressive.

Two wins and six points from matches against the other two teams in the top three was not something i was anticipating. A good first 15-20 minutes of the second half and a lucky goal, and again Giroud to the rescue. Speaking of him, not sure how he managed to play through his injury, it was a pretty nasty cut under his calf. They've probably stitched him up at the half or something, big props to him for staying since it was mid through the 1st half. Napoli, on the other hand, i haven't seen this bad in a long time, with zero big chances created, Insigne subbed off in the second half, the entire team a complete no-show today. Milan has some easy fixtures coming up, which is concerning since we tend to throw points away against bad teams, while Inter and Napoli have a much tougher schedule, next 5 for each team:

Milan: EMP/cag/BOL/tor/GEN
Inter: tor/FIO/juv/VER/SPE
Napoli: ver/UDI/ata/FIO/ROM

Napoli always fail when the big matches comes, they play with all the heart maybe but always fail. I clearly can see why they loved Maradona so bad.
Because with him this big match go to the Napoli side. They have a lot of good and starts player but nobody can win the "Scudeto" or a europe tournament.
And yes they have players like CAVANI HIGUAIN HAMSIK INSIGNE . But still cant catch the big one.

Today has Inter Milan going against Sportiva Salernitana.
Just by looking at the odds it looks like a trap. Currently Inter is 1.15x and Salernitana at 18.50x.
I rather take the risk on the underdogs here as many had already said Inter Milan's form has been lacking as of late along with the other big name teams in the league.
But what do I know? I got another spoon in this tough to predict league.

And now looks like we're heading for another possible 0-0 or draw with this supposed smasher in Naples. 1 shot each, they're better at collecting yellows.

did not see it coming, expected goals and Napoli to win
with this set-up in Calcio, I would not be surprised to see "Old lady" getting another title, going pass sleeping Inter, Milan and Napoli

Juve is back, and they are in winning series, 1:0, but that is a way to earn title

edit: and yeah, Milan scored while I type message

So, skipped Inter, took Salernitana (and we know what happened). Then backed both Torino AND Fiorentina and of course, not even a 1-1 in predictions got me much joy, but I guess 2 close scores from two nil-nil games is very very good.

Fiorentina used to be something of a good luck charm for me in accas but these days...

Guess which team decide to score more goals than they've scored over their last 7 matches combined! Yes! you read that right, last 7 games combined Inter have scored just 4 goals, but today of all days that I have a bet on them, they decided to run riot, what a team. Yet another team to add to my blacklist until the end of the season.
In retrospective we could have looked at that game as potential turning point. Inter is a team that scores lots of goals and after they scored almost none in lost 5 games or whatever it was bound to break loose somewhere. What better place for that to happen than game against such weak oponnet on home turf. Easy to be smart after the battle Smiley

Did not loose on this one since I skipped but nevertheless all my tickets busted yesterday. 3/3 each multi 5, each with 4 correct and once close just to drop it dead. Wasn't our day, should be better today.
