I watched Zlatan's training video, he is a real warrior and beast. I don't know what kind of discipline he has, but I can guess that as a result of great discipline and perseverance, he makes a difference even at the age of forty. Today is Italy quarter cup match. Milan vs Lazio, will they be able to win this match? I guess the struggle will be good, but Milan is much stronger.

Inter to do well at Cup tonight you think,,, or should we bet on away win again? My "favorite" ex Spurs manager must feel confident.
I expect them to do well, but I also expected them to do well against Milan. That was another game that showed me that I have to keep just to my favorite both to score in Italy and forget about all other opportunities. Therefore, both to score for me tonight and hopefully it passes in first 25 min Smiley

Should be an interesting game anyway and I would probably watch it if it weren't for Premier League starting tonight.

Same mistake I did then,,, I thought BTTS was a great bet but Roma just could not find a way to score. I wish I kept my bet simpler and took Inter as 1.6 was also not such a bad deal,,,

So tonight, what do you guys think another team from Milan to win to set up a future cup derby?

I watched Zlatan's workout video. He is a true beast!

Ah right, well. I know the NFT scene is pretty profitable, and I can imagine it's fun if you're like my kid already spending hours a day collecting FIFA Ultimate cards (which aren't even NFT)

just as Trofo said, it is Sorare NFT game, and yeah, I like to play it (there is some earning side as well)
tried to play FPL as well, but yeah it cannot be said that everything is for everyone, almost gave up from FPL, and it is somewhere in the middle of the season

Cagliari was a breakthrough in this round, beating Atalanta at home ground and getting closer to avoid relegation

I guess most of us thought Spezia would win,,, but they actually had to fight to just get the draw, and Salernitana even looked like they were going to win, if I judge the match timeline with more and more corners coming from the home team.

6 guys picked the draw, not bad Smiley

NFT card what? Am I missing something? =D
You are missing key word Sorare, sort of fantasy football game where you own player cards (NFT). I tried it when casperBGD mentioned it to me some time ago but it never really took off for me. I guess I am EPL Fantasy guy and anything that goes by different scoring rules will always be doomed from the start.

Big derby game tonight in Italy, who is watching Salernitana - Spezia Smiley My money is on Spezia though, good odds and they are in great form at the moment.

I know the NFT scene is pretty profitable, and I can imagine it's fun if you're like my kid already spending hours a day collecting FIFA Ultimate cards (which aren't even NFT)... probably 15 years ago I'd spend some time too, but yeah I'm rather time-strapped so anything that takes more than a few minutes is never going to hold my attention long which is why pools are the max I can do. My Fantasy team is just... beyond salvation.

Should have seen the draw coming, but I had Spezia to win and over 2.5 goals... I thought 5/1 was good value for that. Salernitana thought different.

nevertheless, Sergej from Lazio was good, and I had one of best results in Sorare, but Nikola Storm from Mechelen scored two in first half, they were up 3:0, and than got himself a red card, why man, why? Could be in top20 with him without red card, and looked at some great NFT card, nevertheless, would get one Tier3 player

it is tough race in La Liga, but this is obviously your season, you are topping all pools (Calcio, La Liga, EPL)

this round brought me two exact scores in Calcio, and all other missed scores Smiley

I prefer not to talk about it, because I have a nice habit of jinxing myself. It will be too much to ask to stay in these positions until end of season, but I'll settle for taking prizes in all the pools, as long as I don't do a Ranieri and tinker too much, or do a Pep and overthink (wish I watched him at Brescia), or do a Mourinho Roma meltdown.

Didn't realise you watch Belgium league... I occasionally put bets down on them in Europe but this season have largely moved my minority bets to Africa and S America leagues, with mixed results.

What is with these top of the table teams losing this weekend?
First Inter to AC Milan and now Atalanta to Cagliari.
Sure they got a red card in the second half but they were playing just awful.
Nobody picked these two teams in the pool to beat Inter Milano and Atalanta and alot of parlays were thrown out including mine.

The most surprising result of the week was the Atalanta-Cagliari match. In fact, they also caught the draw, but they could not get rid of the defeat. This defeat cost them dearly as they approached the top of the league. Milan, Juventus, Napoli won, Atalanta lost. As such, they dropped to fifth place in the league. However, Cagliari was one of the three teams in the league to be relegated. It was a result that upset Atalanta fans. Many betting slips did not win because of this.

regarding Inter, they obviously saw my pick on them on half-time, and decided to lose this one

Remind me to ask you for your picks one of these days. I thought I had the better of you in La Liga pool but you turned it all around with an exact pick later on phew!

Right, something is really wrong with Atalanta. Didn't watch the game as eyes were on Liverpool but I wisely avoided adding them into an acca despite odds seemingly looking good value. You said they were playing badly rdbase?

Definitely feel "good" I didn't feel for Inter or Atalanta on betting, but then I haven't survived other picks as well yet, and Napoli right now are looking a bit blunt every time they reach the box they seem to be second guessing themselves, very weird. Not that that's important as Sassuolo already down 2 goals and they're on my ticket haha, so I could very well be losing my Italian acca early anyway...

Milan remains in touch for the scudetto with today's second-half comeback win, though Inter have a game in hand.
I still can't believe Inter lost this one. I was so sure Inter will come out on top that I made this derby my pick of the day and placed it on most tickets. Even watched first half and everything was going according to the plan, 1:0 lead with loads of good opportunities.

Then I had to go and do some stuff and I come back in 80th minute and it is already 2:1 for Milan. Seems quite unfair from what I sow of the game, but that is football. You don't use your chances and you will pay the price.

Genoa had a second straight goalless draw earlier today, which was both impressive and surprising to most. Roma has won 14/15 at home against Genoa in the last 15 meetings between the two. Maybe Genoa's new German coach will be able to turn things around, i would hate to see them relegated.

I would hate to see them relegated as well, but if the alternative is not having football out of mainland, than better them than Cagliari
excluding Rome and Napoli, as main south cities, Serie A is playing in the north only, and that is not good for football, IMO

Milan remains in touch for the scudetto with today's second-half comeback win, though Inter have a game in hand.

Pioli has talked all week that he will not change his style and will always play attacking football, just to see him start all three defensive midfielders at the same time (Kessie, Bennacer and Tonali). Milan were fortunate to just concede one goal in the first half, despite being completely outplayed by Inter, mainly thanks to a number of superb saves by Maignan. The thing about Milan derbies is that if you come in with a super defensive squad, you almost always get punished.

We got more on the ball in the second half thanks to Messias and Diaz subs, but no real chances were created until those two goals by Giroud which came also out of nowhere in a very short time span. Can't say it's deserved win but i will take it. lol

Missed the first half of the derby, you know real life. Stats can't really tell me what kind of game it was but this second half, not bad entertainment. Scrappy for sure, but fast turnover (to be fair, if AFCON had as good pitches the games could also be this fast but then again we're also used to shitty WC games in Europe), and refs that just let games flow. Makes you really realise how much you can miss club football no?

Giroud double, I'm hoping for some fast-paced crazy stuff at the end before I switch over to "boring" EPL haha.

Oh and well done Trofo on first yellow cap on last round. Saved yourself some great embarrassment there Wink

And I also realised I totally forgot to put in challenge picks =\

Serie A winter transfer window has officially closed, obviously the biggest signings are Vlahovic to Juventus and Gosens to Inter, but there are some other sneaky-good moves i want to highlight. You can find the full list of all transfers completed in the link down below:

Thanks for the very great summary,,, is there an easy way to build a table like that you did for the forum? I saw the code but it looks hard to do, mind to share? Wink

I read a lot about the Vlahovic transfer, and it was tactical as well as useful, Fiorentina will miss him a lot,,, I suppose this is typical Juventus move, but they also got very strong maybe Piatek finds this move good for him also.

2 new guys also to Atalanta, they want to find a way back to scoring a lot it seems!

Dusan Vlahovic out (to Juventus)

Milan and Napoli, two teams from the top of the table had a very quiet transfer window with no major moves. Juventus had the best signing with Vlahovic, Inter with solid addition as well. It's worth noting that teams towards the bottom of the table, Genoa and Cagliari for example, have all released/transferred out some of their older/veteran players, who, as we all know, can be a distraction when things aren't going well. Salernitana is the team with the most incoming transfers, with ten.

The Serie A season resumes this Saturday with the Milan derby, it will be interesting to watch how all of these transfers have affected teams and in what way.

It is actually an international break, you probably got mislead because I think European teams are not playing but we have World Cup qualifications in all other zones (Asia, CONCAF, South America) for sure. It was supposed to be a break in all top leagues but due to covid and postponements leagues got the permission from FIFA to reschedule some matches if possible with the provision that all international players must be allowed to go their respective national teams.

AFCON is still running as well.
Thanks for explaining. I really had no idea that we have international break now. I barely can remember such thing in end of January - begining of February. I haven't missed international breaks much and I was sure that we are free from until March Cheesy. Though, there is decisive games in qualifiers, so, maybe it won't be that bad.

And yeah, one La Liga (Cadiz), one AFCON and a heck lot of Serie A games gone buggy on Superbru, as are still "Live". Premier League bug free weirdly enough.
Premier League is a big one, most players are on that one and that is the only one with official prizes as far as I know. Also helps that Premier League finishes their games in afternoon and has no evening fixtures.

Anyway I believe this is my first yellow cap across all pools this season. Suck it losers  Tongue
