^^ Bill still not finished and Nirmala Aunty said exactly opposite of "Blanket Ban". One nut job published his old 2019 article for some weird reason and every other media outlet start copy pasting it.

Hi Royse, I have made my payment using BTC. Paid 0.0004 BTC to 3LPMCQ8G4Kdb5CmJcV4kFM4x79jqvEs6e2.

Confusion still exist over the proposed Bitcoin ban in India. I just hope that even if there is a ban, it will be implemented after the IPL.

If everything goes as per the plan, then I will be joining the pool as soon as I receive my signature campaign rewards. But there is some uncertainty now, because today once again one of the government officials was talking about the blanket ban on cryptocurrency. If a ban is imposed, then it will be very difficult to participate in pools such as this one. Here in India, things are getting tougher for the cryptocurrency users with every passing day.
I hope they do not know your real identity.

What is wrong in India. I guess I have seen a positive news few weeks ago about making crypto legal. Was that fake news? Sorry I lost the reference post.

I sent BTC instead of LTC even though the fees continue to rise currently thanks to the rising price of BTC. I chose 25 sats/byte which is very low. I will try using TX accelerator services to make sure that it gets confirmed soon.

You made the right decision asking participants to send the fees a week before the tournament starts in my opinion.

Payment method- LTC
I wanted to pay with BTC but as my funds (BTC) are in my exchange account, it will be costly for me. So, I decided to pay with LTC.

Wasn't the entry fee $20 for the upcoming tournament based on what you decided in the entry fee thread? 0.0005 BTC is closer to $30 currently while 0.12 LTC is closer to $25 which is confusing.

Instead of BTC or LTC, it would be better to post the entry fee in dollar terms. Participants would send the equivalent amount of BTC or LTC after conversion which would help resolve this confusion.
Sorry, it was the typo. I meant 0.0004 BTC not 0.0005 BTC which has been corrected now.

About USD equivalent price - it' very hard to track the exact price. Yesterday BTC price was $56k or something, today it's over $60k, maybe tomorrow it will be $70k or under $50k. BTC price is not stable, and it's hard to tell when it will be stable too. If we ask users to pay the equivalent of USD when they are paying - we will see different amounts of money in BTC or LTC they have paid. So this was the reason of not asking in USD equivalent.

About LTC - when I calculated it was a few dollars more than BTC as I wanted to discourage LTC payment.

It's now Final!!! Hopefully BTC does not go deep any time soon. Entry fee discussion forwarded from : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ipl-2021-entry-free-discussion-end-joining-open-5321161

I would request everyone to start sending the entry fees.
Please let's not wait for the last date to enter. I would like to sort out the entry period one week before officially the tournament starts. So the deadline to join the pool is on 2nd April 2021. Here is a countdown for your visualization.

Deadline to Enter

Please start sending the entry fees and make a post with the payment transaction and the payment method you are going to use. I will list the participants in the next post as a draft.

Again, there will be no participants accepted after the deadline.

PS:
Now I need you guys to help me on finding sponsors. My goal is to manage a main sponsor who will put minimum $2k in the prize pot and for the side sponsors (4 small banners at the bottom) maybe $300 each?

PS: I would appreciate your efforts and let's put a price for it. If anyone brings a sponsor then 5% will be given to you to honer your efforts. These days I am not much into Telegram so Forum PM or publicly make a post about your source and also tell them to PM me on the forum if they are interested to sponsor our pool.

Whatever left was sent to Project COVID-19 and with that I believe we have successfully finished  IPL2020 pool. Thanks to all sponsors and participants. And congratulations to the winners. Hopefully we will have more pools like this when there will be a good event.

PS: I will lock this thread in the next few days and hopefully in the next IPL if we can arrange another pool then this thread will continue.

Cheers,

Agreed. What I proposed could be feasible if many of our community members pitched in which could lead to the sponsors gaining interest, but I forgot about what happened in the past pools.

We are in the right direction. Look at the IPL pool. We had a total of 22 participants. On top of that, we had more than 2,000 posts in this thread (despite the fact that only pool participants were allowed to post). Potential sponsors would definitely notice all these stats. For almost two months, this thread was perhaps the most active one in Gambling discussion sub-forum. For the sponsor (sportbet.one), the returns from this campaign was probably lot more than they could get from any potential signature or bounty campaign.

Anyway, all the credit goes to Royse777, for managing the pool and this thread. It would have taken a lot of time and effort. If we maintain the quality, then we can get the best sponsorships and quality participants.
