May Bitcoin be touched by his Noodly Appendage
August 15, 2013, 09:50:33 AM
Hey guys, I'm back for writing, not for developping. I should work on the script again within a week.

Todo:
  • Add 'translate.google.com' support. (I think you just need a Code Snippit in the body section.) From https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/request-make-bitcointalkorg-usable-by-translategooglecom-266678
  • Make it so the 'Reset BT++ password' is on the settings page I deleted it actually
  • Make it optional to hide the 'List of PMs' button, or put it only on the PMs page I moved the link to the settings page
  • Make it so all BT++ buttons are on the same line, separated by dividers There's only the settings page link now
  • Make the MtGox button Hide-able (in the BT++ settings)
  • Error with an address formatting when used in a link
  • Change MtGox to bitcoinaverage You can now choose your price source
  • Make it possible to change the currency of the BTCUSD bar (in the BT++ settings) You can now choose your price source
  • Auto-update on Chrome
  • Use HTTPS
  • Display total votes: [+10/37]
  • Show rankings of voters: [+10Brand new, -3Sr. members, -5Hero members] (this will not look like this mess)
  • JSON jackjack.alwaysdata.net/btoplusone/note.php?no=21053&json=1

Also, please see this poll: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalk-script-thoughts-about-votes-274252
It is about the disclosure of votes

Keep it real

btw, I'd rather see bitcoinaverage.com than gox Smiley

^^^

Having Mt Gox as the price source seems like the wrong way to go considering the issues people are having with them and getting money out.

No, we need to see who tagged you.
Or at least have some kind of system wherein the more points you have, the more your tag affects the tagged person's rating. (e.g., I have +8, and tag someone with 0 with -1. End result: -4.)

Nah, keep them all the same.

That was something I wanted your thoughts about.
I do have the full list of votes. For now I'm the only one having access to it.
So here are the possibilities:
  • I make everything public
  • One can see who voted for him and who he voted for
  • Nothing public just like now

I would prefer option 3 (nothing public), as the other two public options could discourage people from using the -1, since those people who get negative votes might give back -1 in kind.

Also, what are your thoughts about a scammer tags system? Just like the regular one.
The system could be different though.
I just want to gather opinions for now, nothing is decided.

What about the ability to tag alt accounts, i.e.

moomerycreamery
(Possible Alt of joeyjmr8484)

There would need to be some way to get a consensus on which are alt accounts, maybe a dedicated thread or endoresment by a moderator. The comments section in the trust system is sometimes used to tag alt accounts, but it would be good to have it within the thread below the username.

how would that be different from the trust system?

I'm against it. every point should have the same face value.
It would be exactly like the trust system except without the trust list. I.e. you'd "trust" everyone's ratings based on their own global ratings alone. It would be much more susceptible to shills.

Ideas:

Add 'translate.google.com' support. (I think you just need a Code Snippit in the body section.) From https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/request-make-bitcointalkorg-usable-by-translategooglecom-266678
Make it so the 'Reset BT++ password' is on the settings page
Make it optional to hide the 'List of PMs' button, or put it only on the PMs page.
Make it so all BT++ buttons are on the same line, separated by dividers.
Make the MtGox button Hide-able (in the BT++ settings)
Make the price ticker be able to use BTC-E (in the BT++ settings)

I will add more when I see/think of them. Great job!

Suggestion: spoiler tags.

I was thinking that to, but what if someone without the script sees the tags, unintended bu the OP because they use the script?

Same as now, except that maybe someone might post something they wouldn't otherwise because of it.
