He made his own plugin for Bitcointalk (look at page 7), so I guess he wants to use the JSON format option to implement stuff.

Yes I created my own chrome extension since I don't like greasemonkey and just wanted the karma script part. So when jackjack implements those more complex things I want to have more control plus it be better than just sending the html at that part.

Here is a plug for my extension it is just the karma part.

https://github.com/italiano40/Bitcoin-Talk-Karma
https://github.com/italiano40/Bitcoin-Talk-Karma/releases/download/0.0.1/bto-plusone.crx

This doesn't auto update yet since it is very much beta.
You don't need to use greasemonkey (or anything like that) on Chrome. Just drag the downloaded file into the "Extension" tab and you are done. Works perfectly for me.

I know, but when I started using it the greasemonkey and chrome weren't playing nice together. So I built my own plus I don't want all those extras and just wanted the karama parts. But if the greasemonkey works for you then great!

Can the first 100 people to install get the 'BT++ Founder' tag? Or something like that...  Smiley

only if you donate 10 BTC Cheesy

I like these kind of ideas Grin
And 50 BTC for 'BT++ VIP'!

More seriously, I'm not even sure this script will ever have 100 users
If so I better change the hosting as right now there are already ~50k hits/day

Can you have your site return them in a JSON format so third party clients can parse them easier?

What's gweedo thinking... (Are you thinking of something or just for the future?)

I added custom tags, for now there are: me, BT++ account, MNW, narayan
Worrying about me giving scammer tags to everyone? You can disable them in the settings page

Yes:
http://jackjack.alwaysdata.net/btoplusone/note.php?no=21053&json=1&client=thread&clientversion=0.0.1
instead of
http://jackjack.alwaysdata.net/btoplusone/note.php?no=21053

The client parameter is just to make statistics. It's not important but that would be nice if you don't use the same than mine (which is 'official')

Good job, JackJack! I will be eagerly anticipating the next update. Let me know if you need a tester!  Wink

I'd say we're all beta tester at this point Smiley
I'd say that too Grin

btw, I'd rather see bitcoinaverage.com than gox Smiley

^^^

Having Mt Gox as the price source seems like the wrong way to go considering the issues people are having with them and getting money out.

But using BitcoinAverage will still be affected by the "fake" Gox price. The only "real" price is the BTC-e latest price.
I see what you did there
I'll put an option to choose your BTCUSD source

Well I can understand that. This one has a lot of functions. But like I said before, I don't use greasemonkey. Standard Chrome Support ;p

Hey guys, I'm back for writing, not for developping. I should work on the script again within a week.

Todo:
  • Add 'translate.google.com' support. (I think you just need a Code Snippit in the body section.) From https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/request-make-bitcointalkorg-usable-by-translategooglecom-266678
  • Make it so the 'Reset BT++ password' is on the settings page
  • Make it optional to hide the 'List of PMs' button, or put it only on the PMs page
  • Make it so all BT++ buttons are on the same line, separated by dividers
  • Make the MtGox button Hide-able (in the BT++ settings)
  • Error with an address formatting when used in a link
  • Change MtGox to bitcoinaverage
  • Make it possible to chance the curreny for the BTCUSD bar (in the BT++ settings)
  • Auto-update on Chrome
  • Use HTTPS
  • Display total votes: [+10/37]

Also, please see this poll: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalk-script-thoughts-about-votes-274252
It is about the disclosure of votes

Good job, JackJack! I will be eagerly anticipating the next update. Let me know if you need a tester!  Wink
