very conflicting reports here...

and the company is said to continue its activity normally...

in fact there are two companies with the same name:

https://www.weusecoins.com/bitgold/

one should have been created by nick szabo and is a crypto company,

the other one has combined with goldmoney and is more like the paypal of precious metals

precisions welcome for me....

anybody  to precise things ?

The company Goldmoney really disappointed me! The administration of the company blocks the accounts of its customers for no reason, without explaining to customers about the reasons for blocking their accounts! I really do not recommend contacting this terrible company!
Personally, to me, my friend transferred me some gold as a gift and after 1 hour they blocked my account! I wrote to the support team, and I was told that I had allegedly violated something, but I absolutely did not do anything except order a card! The company treats its customers terribly! Do not mess with them!
People! Be carefull! Do not waste your time on this company!

Its a shame people think this Company is not legit.

The real shame is that this Company helps many people in countries where the currency has been dramatically devalued and that maybe some people might be afraid to use it because of pure disinformation.

Goldmoney is not "the man"

Goldmoney is not trying to take your money.

Goldmoney is simply a way to preserve your savings and have utility with your gold.

There are many successful use cases here.

People should at least try it out. Just buy a few dollars worth of gold if you are concerned.

I can tell you though, I personally know dozens of people who use Goldmoney regularly and think its an amazing tool to protect your savings.

I urge people to try it for themselves.

Do you know how much gold they have in the vaults ? Is it matching with the total gold they sold to customers ?

Who has checked and audited their records ?
It's a ponzi scheme..they may have only a fraction of real gold in their vaults...if more than 30% of customers wants to redeem at once..they will go bankrupt

I use it. Never had any trouble. Funded my card months ago. Used it recently. Worked fine. I intend to keep funding/using it when for travel. I think of it as an alternative if I'm stuck.

... Gold bars.
When I received them and tried to sell them at a local market in my country and they didn't accept the Gold bar because there was no mark on them indicating that they are 24K pure gold. Why there are NO marks on the bars at all?Huh
I can't tell you why there is no mark on them, but why would a buyer rely on that? Someone who is able to create a fake bar filled with tungsten could easily fake the mark too.

I personally know dozens of people who use Goldmoney regularly and think its an amazing tool to protect your savings.

I urge people to try it for themselves.
Thank you brand new user for creating an account just to share your opinion. Not suspicious at all Tongue

Just wanna say that I have an account with BitGold later renamed GoldMoney since last year.
I have about 400gr. of gold stored on vault and redemmed it to Gold bars.
When I received them and tried to sell them at a local market in my country and they didn't accept the Gold bar because there was no mark on them indicating that they are 24K pure gold. Why there are NO marks on the bars at all?Huh

Changing the name doesn't make it not a scam. imo it is no but the big question this name change places over the direction it is taking in becoming Goldmoney is:
Why did they promise to introduce withdrawals of Gold held in their vaults into Bitcoin?
Then, remove the notification on their site. After a year, re-naming from Bit-gold to Gold-money, and never mentioning it again ? there is no option for that on the website,
Of course you can still buy in Bitcoin and other cryptos, but that is not why I joined. Gold is at near parity with Bitcoin (on the dollar price now), and keeps falling atm.

Trustpilot is scammers support paid service. They dont have nothing to do with trust. Most feedbacks are fakes, bad feedbacks are deleted.  If I looking some info about company and found it on trustpilot, thats means I need look much deeper.

whenever I post my experience with Bitgold which happens to be positive, I am slammed and downtrodden and said to be everything from being a Bitgold conspirator to a bought poster to an employee.
People don't sign up to post positive reviews, people sign up to complain about things! For that reason, reviews online are in general less positive than reality. Example: Paypal on Trustpilot: rating 1.3 out of 10 after 2521 reviews. That doesn't mean they don't have millions of happy users, they just don't have a reason to post about it.
Just like you don't sign up to a forum to say you're happy with your new toaster, or bank account, or anything else.

If you're unhappy on the other hand, it is more likely you want to spread the word. So if you just sign up to say how happy you are, you shouldn't be surprised people are going to take that with a grain of salt.
