Dear Customers,

We are so sorry that we did not response you timely in this thread. In the past days, our R&D team who are responsible to develop antpool are always improving the antpool, in order to provide a stable pool for end-users. Honestly, we absolutely care for the questions users report, spend most of the time on the development and improvment of antpool, although we rarely say anything here. We have to admit that some questions users report are not anything which can be fixed in a short time.

However, our sevice team will keep following the posts in this thread and submit them to R&D team. Very appreciated your attention and review, our product will be better and better over time.
Several methods to seriously report questions to R&D team: A ticket on antpool.com, or PM to BITMAIN or BITMAIN_Janet.

Thank you very much!

@ Bitmain:  Would it be possible to have some kind of response from a BITMAIN account holder to the questions asked by the p2pool community?

I believe that Bitmain should not only make it abundantly clear on this thread header that their "p2p" pool is anything but p2pool. It uses their own bad code & share chain, and so should use a different set of ports to reflect this fact, instead of misleading miners into thinking that they are somehow affiliated to p2pool & helping the p2pool network - which they are definitely NOT doing.

It's just not on, it's wrong & it's completely unethical.

+1.

What he said.  Antpool is NOT p2pool.  Bitmain is doing themselves, and the Bitcoin community, a serious discredit by making people think Antpool is something other than it really is.

hmmm, notice antpool dropped by 2% of total pool my earnings dropped to!!!

it was 15% now its 13%

I think I will stay with discus fish more of a steady income if you call $4.00 - $6.00 a day income. Thank god  get free electric so I really cant complain.

Your earning does not depend on how big pool is but how many GHs You have. If You want to maximize Your earning, choose pool not charging fees, and paying transaction fees to miners, the only pools doing that are p2pool.org and eligius. All other pools charging fees or does not pay transaction fees to miners. Discus fees are 4% for example.

As far as we have seen there has been 0 integration with p2pool, and no decentralization of any Bitmain mining pool.

Antpool is still a centralized pool despite this threads title.

Not only that, but by using the same ports as p2pool, Bitmain are fooling miners into thinking that they are actually mining on the p2pool share chain and are helping to decentralise the Bitcoin network & benefit the p2pool network - when in fact they are doing the exact opposite. It is clearly a case of piggy backing the nature of p2pool "decentralisation" in an effort to centralise miners to their own pool & take the Tx fees for themselves. What started out as a promise to invest in p2pool has turned into a badly coded pool that does nothing but harm the p2pool network while cashing in on p2pools name & benefits.

Shameful stuff indeed  Angry

looks like antpool is not telling the truth /// those who wants to mine @ p2pool, you can easily setup your own or mine at the nearest node to you.

good site to help you find node near to you http://nodes.p2pool.co/ the nodes listed here are genuine p2pool !

BITMAIN - Is the P2P/P2Pool integration project still ongoing?  Please let us know if it is cancelled.

The last code commit on Github was Nov 13, 2014.   It was around that date when you said the code would be ready soon.

On Nov 12, you said quote "We support p2pool protocol - The p2pool protocol prevents hashing power being controlled by one central entity (the pool owner), and has been significantly developed during the development of Antpool. All p2pool code will be open sourced and uploaded on BITMAIN’s Github link in the near future https://github.com/bitmaintech/p2pool. (We hope open source it in one week but don't blame us if it delays a little bit.)  we hope that we can optimize the p2p protocol and network with other interested engineers around the world. "

I think 8 weeks is more than "a little bit".  I personally am not mad about this.  I just want to know if I should keep checking on this project, or give up.

Thanks.

Why does antpool hold my some coins after 24 hour payout I thought there was no fee ? This is what was held back - 0.00037873 btc

There isn't a fee, those earnings likely were either granted after the withdrawal cutoff.

I was trying to use two antminer s3's on p2p link by themselves. Can they be used alone or do I need to make a node Huh?

Antpool pays the best I don't want to use a node p2pnode nearby.

I am only 6 months old at mining I am wet behind the ears. no sarc, rude, or unnecessary comments needed.

I've only used/tried the solo pool, which is their regular/traditional style pool.  (The name is misleading.)   The p2p is their modified p2pool code, which I don't think is working as intended, and the code is not finished yet.  They are supposed to provide an update when the code is finished and ready, so we can build our own p2p nodes.  There is a lot of speculation about their version of p2p being a failure, but I still want to try it once it is ready.  And will pass judgement then.  ;-)

Hi!

I cant create a worker with this pool. Sad

is there a problem about this pool?

It should create automatically when connect with miner.  Just connect miner with USERNAME..
