hi,

wonder if anyone can help me. so im using nanopool and im trying to change my payouts. how do i change this? it says password/email of my miner.

In the Miner General Configuration where you entered your wallet address (User) - use the syntax "wallet.miner/email" (without the "").

wallet = your ETH wallet address
miner = a unique id to keep track of the miner
email = a working email address which is your password for the User Settings

In the following fictitious example:

0x9209111F793317B4A83f2701FC1Aa5c0Be9f3f.e3-1/[email protected]

wallet = 0x9209111F893317B4A83f2701FC1Aa5c0Be9f3f
miner = e3-1
email = [email protected]

Of course use your own wallet, miner, and email.  Smiley

Which Algorithm to choose for E3 to be on MRR?

How are you getting it to work on MRR properly?

For me, it connects fine and mines to my pool ok but if the renters' pool is not compatible or something it stops hashing. MRR refunded the renter twice in a short time. I contacted MRR for advice but all they literally said was "please ensure you have allpools enabled", which obviously isn't possible when you don't have access to the command line.

I haven't run into such issues yet. If the renter's pool is not compatible then I don't think there is anything you can do but that would be a problem between MRR and the renter. Make it clear to MRR that you're using the E3. You might want to check the logs on the miner to see if there is anything that would help MRR debug the issue.

"allpools" is for claymore devfee, not relevant here. Claymore miner would stop if it can't mine the fee, which is probably what they're referring to.

So what is the consensus on the E3?  Is it hashing as advertised? Is it stable?  How are the temps?  Any particular pools that don't work?  Anyone had any experience setting one up on Mining Rig Rentals yet?  Thanks.

MRR works. Nothing special about setup.

Nicehash doesn't work.

Overall it looks like a solid miner. At the price I paid (around 2 ETH at the time) I have no regrets. I would not pay $2000 though, I'd rather build a GPU rig at that price.

You are trying to log into the miner on the browser. Do that first.  its in your manual or try admin/admin username and password.  Then you click on Miner Configuration and change it there hit save, done.

Otherwise I dont know what you are saying.

I'm having issues trying to mine ETP (Metaverse) via pool or solo. I've tried metaverse.farm (pool) and 2miners.com (solo). I setup pool 1 as ETP, and pool 2 and 3 are for ethermine, where I've been successfully mining ETH with no problems. The connection shows alive, but the ASIC status never goes to 00, it only ever shows BB, or CC. I've have not been able to find out what those status' mean. It appears to try mining on pool 1 for a bit, and them moves down to pool 2, and then after about 8 minutes I believe the miner resets. The status only ever shows BB or CC. I've tried with a PW (x) and without, and with WALLETADDRESS.USERNAME, and without a username. Anyone have any ideas?

Since E3 is bunch of RX550 wouldn't it be possible to change algo/miner with an update?

wtf are you talking about? did you even bother to look at the tear down vids posted? it does not have rx550s in it.

each E3 has 18, lets call them "modules", in it. each module has 32x128MB (4GB) DDR3 memory chips + an ASIC (BM1790) chip.

RX550s have a GPU + 2GB or 4GB of GDDR5.

not even close to the same thing.

asic comes, more performance to a 6 GPU rig at 1/3 of the price. sorry for eth

Not for all people, not for all cases.
It is sold out right now, but it was $800 + $100 for power supply and some regions has +$200 for shipping, total cost could be $1100.
And some countries has high taxes at customs, like +60% or even +80% that final cost could be something like $2000.

In my case, it cost same as 6X RX470/570 cards and it an ASIC, that can only do a single work of mining dagger algo.
I prefer a rig that you can mine dozens of algos and if it turns not profitable you can sold as PC parts.

Was able to pick em up today and already hashing away.  I didnt have to wait long for them to start (after I been reading some peeps have had to wait some time before they kick in)

Kinda annoying I cant control the fans, its farrrrking freezing here and be nice to turn them low - as it doesnt need much - 2500 rpm is more than enough but its doing its 3500rpm spin and then down to 1500 then back up after a few mins type shit. Basically silent to - gee thats gunna be annoying after a while (but no where near the 76dbs advertised - the l3+s are still louder and they are in boxes)

Other then that - decided to mine up some ETC instead for now.

Edit - its silent at 1800rpm (with all things considered)

Jul 4 2018 firmware - and zero HW errors to date - not even 1 for funsies

No setup options.

Bro which pool did you use for ETC. I cant seems to get that Smiley

nanopool

etc-au1.nanopool.org:19999

is what I was using

Right now im on Ethermine doing some ETH

Hello could you explain how to use nanopool with this asic? Must I have to create a account to get paid. As I haven’t been paid yet and I’m over 0.2 payout. I can see the page with my info aswel. Thought this would just be straight forward like back in the day with cleverminer..

If you are mining then its working. dont need an account. Just an address where to send, I use the asia link as I am in australia but for the most part I use what I wrote above for ETC - regarding nanopool the Minimum payout is 1 ETC

Nanopools works fine i you need something very easy.

just use the port: 9999

      - not port: 19999 like indicate by NoIdeaAsWell in previous post

eth-eu2.nanopool.org:9999
wallet
x

or p=x,d=60120  ( this works only for the one received today some bach but the one you was paying 2.000Euro - not with the first i received at 800 -> actually the last are faster and cooler - just . of % )

ATT: you will see 15 minutes of temp and other indicator to 0 in your Miner Status menu on your ant miner. The machine will be very loud. Leave it like this and after 10-15 minutes the machine refresh herself and will start to show all the correct value. And what's more get very silent for asic standards.

this will happen with every pool if you have the little table on top of the controller with says:

"SubModel1:190"

invincible Bitmain!

ETC not ETH  so my post is correct.

Whoever paid more than $800 for this eth asic will be burnt very soon and your 500 days roi might become 1000 days hehe

yeah, cause difficulty is spiking so hard right now right?

its people using an old version of claymore that stopped working at dag 200

once the upgrade we should go back to 300k diff

Noticing ETC connects and hashers faster than connecting to ETH - up to 40mins still trying to connect.  Nothing changed - same settings as the first time I connected to ethermine, now its just taking the piss fancy waiting 30 plus mins for an asic to START hashing whilst running fans at full speed the entire time...... and even then..this is starting to piss me off.. 45mins and counting...

FMD, had to reset this thing to defaults, then re enable the ETH pool - took 5 mins to start hashing.  So, dont do what I did. Seems I have to reset the device to defaults IF i want to mine ETH after mining ETC. Otherwise it will be a simulator for being in an airplane for hours.

I would suggest https://ethermine.org/

Been working well and min payout is 0.005 ETH Got 10 running on it right now

minimum payout is actually .05

Whoops, typo.

Still low enough
