No I am buying the cheap breakout boards on eBay for $10 and bulk pcie cables through my business. I am all in $51 per psu. 3 psus run two s9s...these psus are 94% efficiency over bitmains 93%
Do you always get dinged for customs? I don’t have it happen to me often when I use DHL. When I use UPS I do. Also I don’t buy bitmains psus as I source hp 1200w server power supplies for $30/each.
I've been using UPS because I have an account with them. Interesting on DHL, I'll have to try that next time, but yes each time with UPS it's been around $50 for the miner nothing on the PSUs.
Are you making your own breakout boards? Even at $30 each that's still 60$ plus breakout boards. $105 just seemed to be a better deal. But I am open to creative solutions

If these were in the $16-1800.00 range I'd purchase, but by the time you add a 105.00 PSU, 200 or so shipping and 50.00 customs to that 2100 no thanks.
It's not a horrible deal, but I feel that they will be adjusting their prices soon. No real evidence, just my feeling.

I was able to buy six with some different bitmain logins I had. For the reliability it’s a no brainer to supplement my s9 farm. People balk at this price but snatch up Avalons immediately. When these are proven to be much more reliable than s9s, I don’t get it....
they simply hate bitmain.
My issue with it is they delayed my Dec s-9 for 26 days and gave me no coupon.
They did it to a lot of us. Would be an easy purchase to make if I had gotten compensation for that delayed order.
This unit's price is okay but not great about 2100 usd
It nets me 202-214 a month that is a 10 month or more roi
frankly my gpus have been better.

Man bitmain really knows how to go for the jugular. Pangolin releases their miners at a flop price of $2350 to ship out in 7 days and its just sitting on their site. Now bitmain sends an email that they are releasing T9+ tonight with a 10 day shipment window. Any speculation on price here?
I hope it's better than 24900 Yuan price that they had it for on the Chinese site. At almost $4000, there's no way I would buy one.
With the limit of 2 per person I have as feeling this will be a good price. But I could be wrong...

Hi all. I am a newbie here as well as to Bitcoin world. So my question might sound stupid... anyway, I've heard that when the new Antminer comes, the old ones are not working to their full effect, or mining not as profitable as they were previously. So for example, we have now antminer S9 which let's is making a 100$ profit per month, when T9 will come would be S9 less effective just only because there is a new machine out there? So any ideas? Sorry for my bad English. Thanks in advance!!!
The S9 and T9 are brothers. Same basic design, same chips. Only difference is that the T9 was built better and runs at a higher chip voltage - that makes the T9 less power efficient but also make it more stable. It has been over 1 year since Bitmain made (very few) T9 and I doubt they will ever make more.

If and when a new batch is released, the network hashrate increases due to miners turning on and hashing away, decreasing block times and increasing difficulty. It’s not just a new miner coming out by itself that profitability begins to instantly decrease but more a matter of difficulty too.
