Send it back to bitmain if it's still under warranty.

It is of S9 batch 2 so it is not under warranty

Only option is to send it to bitmainwarranty in the USA and pay for a repair.

@sunny163

I watched some of your videos.  It could be the S9 but to eliminate other possibility, please check your intake electricity voltage.  I see you are using Antminer PSU 1600W model.  This PSU needs 205V or higher.  I can hear S9 about to power on then lose power.  You may have the unsteady voltage, or Controller may be bad for the S9, however, I suspect the PSU intake voltage as  you can mine sometimes and not the other time.

I removed one hashboard 3 pci-e connector and other 2 hashboard at 500 at 80 %
This is the video of what is happening to miner with multimeter readings :-

here is my place voltage from electricity company

tried each hashboard one at a time
with 1st hashboard it ran for 1 hr 45 min
with 2nd hashboard it ran for 40 min
with 3rd hashboard it ran for 45 min
and then the miner is behaving like the video which i shared

If you are in USA, you can send it to Denver for diagnostic.

@sunny163,

i think if its under warranty, time to send it to Hong Kong.

Yeah as that test pretty much means the psu is not the issue.

@ fusion0389 it should come back after the 8th

It is not under warranty it's of batch 2

i am in india

the machine is running for 10-15 minutes sometime 30-40 minutes with perfect hashrate and perfect temp and then suddenly it stops and starts within second and then the machine is not able to mine it is running miner fan is running at faster speed then slower speed again the same and not mining

this happen to me before and i found the reason is internet cable after more than 2 hours of restart and try
happen again after a month from that and found the reason is my sister using torrent to download something and get all internet speed to her
check your internet and try another pool too

you could be correct  as I have really good internet 50 down 15 up  and very solid do  not drop connections.

I tend to forget  that many people have bad or unstable net connections.  I have read poor internet is common in India

For example
here is a ranking for India as number 5 for bad service

http://www.elist10.com/worlds-top-10-countries-slow-internet-connection/

India is around .25 speed vs my speed of 50/15  so I am 200x faster on download and 60x fast on upload

here is the fast list

http://www.elist10.com/worlds-top-10-countries-with-fast-internet-connection/

so if the poster sunny163  is under 1megabyte speed and more traffic is on his service or the service sees his 24/7 online with the miner it could be simple throttling by his net provider.

I have 2 mbps and no one is using to download anything so speed is not used

Do you think phillip PSU or controller board will be failed because 10-15 min it is running perfect with good temp and max hashrate

I think you should try it at lower freq  and not max hashrate.  Since  you are altering your info  a lot and I don't know what freq you are at or what fanspeed ?

did you do freq 500 at fan 80%?

Yes i tried at 500 freq and at 80 % fan it worked well for 30 min now i done 550 freq and at 80 % fan
and fan should be kept automatically or manually ,if manually then at how much % ?

So go back to 500 freq and 80%  and run for days.
I know there is a slight language barrier.

So let me be very specific when you ran at freq 500 and fan 80%  what happened after 30 minutes?
Did you turn it off and then test at freq 550 and fan 80%?
Or did it fail and turn itself off?

If it worked the entire 30 minutes and you turned it off please go back set it at freq 500 and fan 80%  leave it there for at least a day.  If it works for a day straight at freq 500 and fan 80%  we will have a better idea of what is wrong.

i ran 500 and fan 80% for 30 min then i turned it off and turned on again and set 550 and fan 80% and now its 15 min passed with 550 and 80%
Fan i should set at automatically or manual and at how much %

set fan at manual 80%

set freq at 500m

let it run for a day

let us know if it runs for a day straight at those settings.

show us screen shots at those settings

i set 500 again at 80% and its 30 min and i am keeping it like that for a day if it is working well

Thank you.

Now the same problem when i am starting it is is getting startef moning for 40-50 sec then again gettimg restart again machine get started again then again run then stops
Setting is 500 at 80%

Hello fellow miners,
I've got a question and didn't know where to ask so I'll post it here.
I've sent two S9 boards to in warranty repair in Hong Kong, the webpage is down and I can't check the repair ticket status. The goods had been delivered 3rd of October.

One week vacation for them which ends on th 7th or 8th of October.

So maybe the website goes up tomorrow.  Sat or Sunday. At worse Monday
Thank you, I just got the mail from support saying about the vacation:
"Thanks for reaching out to Bitmain! Our offices will be closed October 01-07 in observance of the Chinese National Day. Logistics will be out and no fixes will be made during that period. Responses to your inquiries may be delayed as a result."
