All s9's sold out except batch 8
Is their any difference between batches except for price?
I got late to the game so missed out on buying the first released which were probably sold out before rolling off the assembly line.  Undecided

You must use Antpool

Bugger anyone who'd have a requirement like that for gear to work properly.

I can get 13.9 on both batch 1's using kano's pool and hotter server psu's at 12.2 volts dc and 240 volt power.

the issue is it is too hot to do so at the moment .  but in the fall I expect to run the batch 1's at 650 to 675 freq

not to mention the first couple of batches wont even run at the speeds they advertised....so they didn't make as much before halving as they should have.
Better than advertised. Could have been

S9 First Batch  14.0TH/s ± minus 5%  = 13,3Th/s
S9-B2 with 12.93TH/s ± minus 5% =12,28 TH/s
S9-B3 Limited Edition,        12.93TH/s ± minus 5% =12,28 TH/s
S9 Batch 5-Limited Edition, 11.85TH/s ± minus 5%=11,26TH/s

You must use Antpool
1-9 Batch1    14.0TH/S
10 Batch1    2/3 miner with 2 blade
11 Batch1     14.0TH/S
12 Batch2  12.93 TH/s
13,14 Batch3  12.93 TH/s
15-19 Batch5  11.85TH/s

But but but... it's LIMITED EDISHIN, collectible almost, you'll have the honor of being among the million of other suckers who fell for that.

The good news is that whoever bought Batch 2 (or was it 3?) for under 3 BTC can now sell it for a nice ROI, considering that they mined perhaps half a coin by now.

Batch2 and Batch3 was the same, only difference in price . B3 was 100 USD more as B2

The same miner 12.93 TH/s is also B7 (3,20 BTC) and B9 with price 3.05 BTC

not to mention the first couple of batches wont even run at the speeds they advertised....so they didn't make as much before halving as they should have.

Because high prices like these make my batch 1 value stable.  I can list and sell them for 1900 right now as I type.

I think it is very stupid to look at the miner as a store of value. Miner is a tool afterall...

A miner is  btc in the disguise of a tool.

Asic miners and gpu's have been sold used time and time again

Sometimes they resell at premium price.

An S-5 purchased on Jan 2 ,2015  was close to 300 from bitmaintech due to a price battle against spondoolies.

That same miner could be sold for more then 300  on April 22, 2015  due to the price war ending.

Many other times mining gear sells at premium prices.

When coins rose from 200 to 400 in fall of 2015  gear went up in price.

I can sell gear due to a good reputation here I never fuck anyone and always try to offer a bit of a deal.

So for instance  if:

 A) coins jumped to 1500
 B) bitmaintech sold new s-9's at 3000 usd
 C) I would or might sell my 5 s-9's  I would be sure to offer them a little lower price then anyone else.
 D) I would sell in btc
 E) I would sell to people that are prior buyers from me.

So for me  the price of this gear can be high as it wants to be.

frankly  this happened for me with sp20's

and did not happen for me with s-7's

I would not mind if it happens with the s-9's

Bitmain can learn a thing or two from philipma1957. It's too bad Bitmain has lost good reputation it once had with the mining community. Maybe it's too late or maybe not, but I hope Bitmain can correct the course it's on, start respecting the community. They can do that by honoring their promised warranty, producing quality products, and valuing their customers. To be honest, I have no hope they will ever do any of those worthy things, because they're greedy f*ckers out to get every penny from unsuspecting noobs and ignorants of the world. They're shady as f*ck.

Be sensible. If people keep buying S9's at this price nothing will change.
Just buy btc or hold your profits until demand causes them to stop screwing with us.

well if you are in a 104f plus  spot   it could run but I would think you need to lower your freq clock  from 600 to 462 and set fans at

Will this lower the hashrate?
Certainly.

The spec says Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C. What happens if I operate it in higher temperature than 40 °C?

oh running at 105.8f  = 41c will void warranty

85%

here are lower freq results  but I lowered fan to 35%-40% for noise

there are more then one screen shot to look at.

Looks like Batch #9 (3.05 BTC), and Batch #8 (2.77 BTC) are back in stock. Just based on the price and hashrate, the slower miner is just a teeny bit better priced.

.....
2. liquidate btc for $ or buy miners at btc peak  Grin.

rinse and repeat-profit as long as long term btc price is rising.
right now, btc price is rising, so buy and hold might be better than spending.

When you get #2 above worked out, could you just shoot me a PM? No need to bother everybody else....  Smiley

If that's too difficult, then maybe you could just tell me when the price of BTC has "bottomed out"!
