does the calculator reflect current diff?  http://bitmark.co/miningspeed

I threw a lot of hash power at this yesterday BEFORE it went on BITTREX and then a few hours laters I was drowned out.  Knowing more or less when a coin will be listed is very helpful!  It was pretty obvious a few hours before $JBS went up that it would happen and the network hash power started going up BEFORE the listing.  At least it didn't go through the roof until AFTER $BTM was listed.

also does diff retargeting mean that it will go down now that network hash rate is way down again?

No one who has anything to do with BTM had any idea whatsoever that Bitmark was to be listed on Bittrex. Our communications with them were never good.

And yes, the difficulty will likely be current difficultly / 4 next retarget. Smiley

which block is that?  and does that calculator reflect diff?

I like everything about what I am reading in the OP. Great work on research and development for further improvements of the industry.

I am willing to help spread the word with a few of my team members in the marketing area. What part of marketing do you need a hand in?

Thank you for your kind offer. We don't really need any help with marketing yet, word of mouth is fine.

Perhaps you would like to join our discussions on slack and see what happens, we do have several future websites, services, and ideas which will benefit from marketing in different forms. We also have many people setting up businesses based on marking or with support, they may well benefit from your skills.

Thank you again,

Mark

the Bitmark is still the 10 dollar mark next week to crack .
a look at coinmarcetcap of space 110 in the top 40 in two weeks is incredible.
This coin has a great future .
My thought 15-20 dollar realistic price for this Coin in October .
I Will buy again at 0.002 for 2 BTC . Good idea ??

PS:
Nice DEV !!!!

I hope you are right, we will all be very happy Smiley

I wish to address a few things which have been raised.

1. The development team has no BTM to speak of, a few hundred each at most. but we consider that to be a lifetime's supply.

2. Market price-tag is irrelevant to us, the currency we plan to use for the next generation or more, is BTM, more precisely marks (0.001).

3.1. The community is maybe 500 strong with 50 people active at the core, and the project 3 months old, with Bitmark released for 2.

3.2. I have seen people wishing they had known earlier, this is very early, you could fit us all in a bar. The project is a new born baby with a lifetime ahead, it's not even speaking or crawling yet.

Finally, I have about 400k marks (400 BTM), this month I have given away 1.5 million marks to people with good ideas, who have helped, bought servers for people, all kinds of things, and I have more marks now than  at the start of the month. When you understand how this has happened, you will understand how marking fundamentally changes the way we live, and why we have an ever growing community.

So while going through the source... I actually read some. (only the most recent)

These are all just my opinions and not necessarily the opinion of the community but:

May I ask what the problem is?

The point of this project is not to make money, the term "Dump it" implies the project developers goal is to make money.
The project developers actively do not want a bubble.
The project developers seem to understand the importance of a free market and the price reflects ONLY that.
The project developers to my knowledge even wish the price remains stable and that NO ONE "pumps" or "dumps"
At any time you can tell the project developers your concerns and they will try to help out, I know this first hand.

It sounds to me like you have a problem, you are stating a bubble has emerged, but the project has not even moved its focus to marking. We are still in the experimental stages. May I ask what your concerns are? WHY do you think a bubble is forming? WHY do you think it is wise to "Dump it". If you think im insulting you i swear im not. I want to hear you out... But if you wont talk to me atleast rephrase the term "Dump it" to "Sell it because..."

"pump" and "dump" are terms that only hurt a community and exempt it from learning.

The post above where a user states that you hurt yourself and professional investors, and that you are the reason moderated topics are needed is partially true.

I would argue time absolves all lies, and that posts like yours do not hurt whatsoever. But what he said about you being hurt in the end is true, because from a logical standpoint only your words will be absolved, not you.

I do not think your posts will hurt in the aspect of professional investors however... I think reaching out to professional investors outside of bitcointalk forum is the correct path. I think that this forum topic's sole purpose is to help maintain a healthy development and to allow discussion, further more i think it is for teaching the community and expanding the community. I do not think it is in anyway a means to obtain VC.

For the most part the crypto currency community is the next generation... ALL of US are changing the world.

Please share your fundamental concerns so that we can change the world for the better?

Im serious I really do want to hear your concerns?

Or are you really just FUDing? Sad?

So sorry I missed this one - question to the earliest investors: what was it that set it apart for you, how did you know from the start that it might be a winner?

You haven't missed. Join our Slack group and one day of following members conversations you will have much bigger picture of what is going on here.

Good question. For me personally, I had just starting learning about all the new innovations in altcoins that had happened so far in the last 10-12 months or so, and I was reading the forum here and I came across coinsolidation making a few posts to discus the theory and ideas behind alternative currencies.

For a few weeks or so there were multiple threads where we discussed the ideas behind features, developer funding, and what matters and what doesn't when it comes to digital currency. When I started reading the alt forum here the last thing I would have ever expected myself to do is get involved with a project, but after talking with coinsolidation and hearing his ideas I naturally just kind of fell in to the project. Even though I personally was skeptical(not against, but just not sure) about a lot of his ideas of what would make an alternative currency work, it seems that thus far he's known exactly what parameters were optimal and how important it was to build value from scratch.

I wasn't the only one who noticed what he was doing, and over time more and more like minded people joined the project. We had ~70 pages of interesting discussion with none of the typical idiocy that comes with being here on bitcointalk. Luckily for us our project has already outgrown bitcointalk and it's very unlikely that you'll see much from Bitmark here on bitcointalk in the coming months and years ahead.

Spot on Smiley

In brief:

Visionary, intelligent, revolutionary. It is about what it will become. Do not think in terms of investment but more of involvement. A global collaboration of ideas contributing to a new era of reputation and money at web scale driven by many but with a solid and trustworthy envisioner shepherding the process.

Its value should not be seen in terms of profit. The web space will profit.

This is only another shitcoin.
Can't wait for the bubble to burst.

Right on time. The project starts to get noticed and the price reflects it.
Fud'ers and people here to bad mouth show up.
It just takes away the professionalism of a thread.
Then people complain that volume has died off.
Crypto currency will never have volume again if we cannot attract professional investors.
It's posts like this that turn away volume and in the end hurt people like you.
If we ever want crypto to evolve it has to become more mature and professional. Posts like this are going to bring us up to that standard.
Moderated topics sadly have to be the norm these days.

Can the enormous rise in Hashrate be multipools? Individual miners that have extremely high hashrates. Or are these users who rent a lot of mining power, betting the price will go up even higher?

all of the above? Wink
