Hi Mahkul ,

I'm facing another problem.
Yesterday I transfered 25 BTC from my MTGOX account to my Bitmarket.eu account.
Blockexplorer shows they arrived in my account on Bitmarket.eu. So all seems fine.
For some reason I don't see the 25 BTC in my account though ?
Could you explain that ?

Regards.
Is the transaction confirmed by the network yet ?

New version of BitMarket.eu is up!

Changes:
  • Added USD currency (will add others if needed)
  • Added Market filtration - you can filter offers and transactions by currency
  • When filtering Market we show only 10 best buy/sell offers so it doesn't flood the page
  • Email activation - we now require you to have valid email address before buying/selling. This should lower the number of "fake" offers
  • We also force to have your country checked now

Next up - Paypal verification, OTC rating integration and more!

Just to say that we have cleaned up our database and some members' email addresses were not responding anymore (fake accounts). In the unlikely event that your genuine account was deleted, please email us.

The site report "The site is down for maintanence. We will be back soon."

And I've seen reports that the exchange has been hit with a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack?

Any more info, or an ETA on when the service might be accessible again?

I know this topic has already come up.  I have an old transaction (I'm selling BTCs) but the buyer is not sending me money.  In the meantime, the market price has gone up about 30%.  I don't know if the buyer is deliberately using my offer as a hedge, or is absent-minded, but I'd like to cancel the transaction.  How can I do that?

@ploum: That's why we're gonna implement a better system. For "trusted members" there will be option to buy BTC without having funds on the account. The offer will be matched and you will be able to send money directly to BTC seller, or to BitMarket (which will act as Escrow then). That way you're never gonna miss the offer and BTC seller will be confident that he'll receive his/her money.

What do we mean by "trusted members"? That is yet to discuss, but basically a member with one or two complete transactions, and that is already some time on the site (1 week, 2 weeks, or so).

I think we will also match this to people's otc rating and their forum reputation.

The problem with fund deposit, as I discovered painfully on btcex.com, is the time it takes. I was really interested by buying some bitcoins there so I've sent money last week. My money is still not on my account! (they replied me that they received it yesterday but they still have to handle the thing). Which means that, of course, all the offers I was interested in are gone!

The "deposit mode" will be there within a week (hopefully) along with some other new features. Smiley

Please include the ability to transfer USD from one account to another, just like MtGox.

There is no support for USD right now, but we may add it in the future. It will be possible to send EUR, PLN and GBP between bitmarket users just like mtgox USD.

I would like to specify minimum lot sizes;

We have introduced a limit of minimum 10 BTC per transaction (it is no longer possible to put less than 10 BTC on sale). This ensures no trivial international money transfers will occur.
This limit will be lifted once we have switched to "deposit mode" (which means we will operate in a similar manner to mtgox).

I just offered 22BTC which got matched in three lots 10+10+2.  Is it possible to cancel the 2btc trade?  Also, I'd like to still specify minimum lot sizes as bitdragon suggests.  If I offer 100btc, then I'm taking account for the fees in my price.  But the fees will be twice as much if this is matched in 10 lots of 10btc.  OR - "deposit mode" :-)  Great site, keep up the good work.

Could you please email me the transaction details regarding this 2BTC trade? Thanks.

Looks like there is a serious shortage of Bitcoins in Europe at the moment.

Hi Mahkul,

Any hint on when we can expect the "deposit mode" feature? In what stage are you getting that arranged?

BioMike

Hopefully within a week or two. For now the transfers will be handled manually (just like bitcoin-central, not sure whether they are automatic on mtgox?). Once this happens we will try and automate the (at least) incoming transfers acknowledgements.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

We have introduced a limit of minimum 10 BTC per transaction (it is no longer possible to put less than 10 BTC on sale). This ensures no trivial international money transfers will occur.

This limit will be lifted once we have switched to "deposit mode" (which means we will operate in a similar manner to mtgox).

Due to this new rule a few offers (smaller than 10 BTC) have been cancelled. This caused the problem mentioned in the previous post (frozen Bitcoins), which I believe I have now rectified. If you find that your offer was cancelled, but your Bitcoins are still frozen please contact me. Sorry for any inconvenience, but we believe the service will be better now.
