How about introducing a no zero roulette? Have a 0.1 BTC max bet and a 0.01 BTC min bet. You would still make money over the long run as you introduce people to bitzino, and a lot of people tend to keep gambling till they lose them all.

We have gone out of our way to ensure that we offer the best odds on all our games.

http://play.luckco.in/ offers the same paytable on jacks or better but with a progressive jackpot.  That makes their odds slightly better than yours.  Currently betting 0.005 and hitting a royal flush pays a little over 5 BTC which is a bit silly because it makes the RTP bigger than 100%.

On the other hand their game keeps going down due to programming errors, isn't provably fair, doesn't feel anywhere near as slick at bitzino, and is pretty slow.

The "more pay tables" element at bitzino looks like it will just expand that section of the gui, but it in fact opens a "modal" dialog.  While it's open I'm unable to edit my bet or start a new hand.  This would be clearer if opening the 'more pay tables' thing greyed out the rest of the interface, in the same way that being half-way through a hand greys out the "more pay tables" element.

Finally, I wonder if it would be worth making the 'held' marking less subtle.  I just played a bunch of hands, was dealt 2 pair, quickly clicked on the 4 cards I wanted to hold and clicked 'draw'.  It only held 3 of the cards, so I guess one of my clicks missed, but I didn't notice.  I think the little grey shadow that appears when I hover looks similar enough to the black 'held' that appears when I actually click that I was able to miss that fact that I had mis-clicked.

We're excited to announce the launch of five new varieties of video poker to our lineup! In addition to the classic Jacks or Better video poker variant, we now offer:
  • Tens or Better
  • Deuces Wild
  • Bonus Poker
  • Double Bonus Poker
  • Double Double Bonus Poker

We have gone out of our way to ensure that we offer the best odds on all our games. We've tweaked the pay tables in order to ensure that all of our video poker variants have over 99% return-to-player.

Check it out, and let me know what you think!

Any chance of making slots? I think I remember seeing someone else trying a provably fair slot setup in here somewheres, I would be a happy camper if bitzino offered it.

Slots isn't on our immediate timeline. We're currently working on rolling out additional varieties of video poker. But, thanks for the feedback! Slots will come eventually, and if we get enough demand for it, it may come sooner rather than later Smiley And, like all of our games, it will definitely be provably fair. We also will make sure to do it in a way that correctly simulates true spinning reel slots.

Oh and can I get hooked up with an affiliate link please
Would like to introduce bitzino to some friends of mine Smiley

We don't have an affiliate program yet - another feature we're working on Smiley

I never bothered to look at it (trust issues with new places), just remember reading that someone was working on it.
None the less, slots at bitzino would be a fun way to waste my time, and would certainly attract others as well Cheesy

I played it once.  Won back exactly what I bet, and decided that was a good time to quit.

His slots game was weird.  Instead of picking 5 numbers to decide where each of the 5 wheels would stop, he picked 15 numbers to determine all 15 visible symbols.  Real slots don't have the symbols on the wheels rearrange themselves at random like that.

Oh, and I don't think I need to see a log of my roulette spins, thanks.

1244 spins at Roulette! What a degenerate!  Kiss

I've seen it happen twice and I've played a lot less than 1000 spins.

I often come up against runs of the same colour, but usually they max out around 8 in a row. Twice I have hit 10 and been eaten up.
To be fair, I probably spun about 5000 times. How it goes I guess. Ah well, still not down as much on roulette as I am on SD lol.

If you guys are interested, I'd be happy to send you CSVs of your spin history so you can do some deeper statistical analysis. Dooglus, looking at your account, it looks like you've actually played 1244 roulette spins Wink

I figured I'd round out the all-red and all-black screenshots with an all-green one.

Note that this screenshot is totally fake though Smiley You'd probably have a better chance of mining a block with a vacuum-tube CPU than ever seeing this happen.

Thanks, maybe I should stretch my go broke point out to 15 plays or so.

The problem then is that you can't bet more than 0.00061 BTC on your first bet, or you'll hit the house limit of 10 BTC before your 15th play.  So you'll only be 'earning' 0.00061 BTC each time you spin a red, and it will take you forever to earn just 1 BTC.

>>> 0.5**15 * 20

What's the odds of 10 in a row? I was doing good until that run of bad luck hit and wiped me out.

If each spin was 50/50, it would be 1023 to 1 against getting 10 reds in a row.

Code:
>>> 2**10 - 1
1023

But there's a green too, so it's 1345.8 to 1 against.

Code:
>>> (37/18.0)**10 - 1
1345.7661421344362

I've seen it happen twice and I've played a lot less than 1000 spins.

It would be nice to have an option for whether the 2-factor auth is required only for withdrawal and changing security settings, or for every login.  For me, having an attacker lose my balance to the house would be just as upsetting as having them withdraw it to their own address.

We've added the option to require 2-factor auth when logging in. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks, but it's a day too late.  It looks like an attacker got into my account yesterday and lost my whole balance.  It looks like he played a dumb martingale strategy on roulette and hit 10 blacks in a row.

Yeah, that's probably what happened alright...  Wink

It looks like the attacker came from your IP address. Are you sure that the attacker didn't break into your home specifically to play on bitZino under your account? You may want to beef up your physical security Wink

Hmm, I've got errors about it being open in another window or something frequently when I was playing on my iPhone over 3G. When I logged into my laptop and stopped playing it on my iPhone, same problem. Couldn't play / bet blackjack at all. Is this a known issue with accessing it from mobile browsers?

Hm, I can't seem to replicate this issue. I just tested it out on my ipod touch, and it worked correctly for me.

That error will show up if you leave a browser window open, and go on to play the same game in another window or on another computer, and then come back to the original game and try to play (Basically, anytime your game is out of sync). You can ensure that error never happens by just refreshing the page before you start a new session. Also, the error should cause the page to refresh, so it should happen at most once.

We did have a buggy release live for a few hours the other day, and you may have been affected by it. Would you mind testing again if you get a chance?

Every once in a while I get a little chuckle out of this thread. I love your attitude, lib. I'm constantly amazed that you haven't lost your cool yet.

Thanks Cheesy Frankly, I'm constantly amazed at how supportive the bitcoin community is. That's something I wasn't really expecting when we first launched, but it has proved to be an incredible asset. Everyone here believes in the transformation power of bitcoin, which I think really helps create a positive environment.

Every once in a while I get a little chuckle out of this thread. I love your attitude, lib. I'm constantly amazed that you haven't lost your cool yet.

Yeah, surely by now you want to start telling me that my girlfriend is imaginary and banning me and all my friends from playing at your site even though I've never broken any of your terms and conditions.  That seems like the obvious thing to do.

I'm amazed you can take so much free constructive criticism from me without flying off the handle in a drunken rage.

It's almost as if you're running a professional operation or something.  Smiley

I'm going to stay out of this, but I will say that I respect you both highly, and I really do hope you can resolve your differences.

I was just playing with the 2-factor authentification.  It works well, but I can still log in and lose my balance with just my regular password.  It would be nice to have an option for whether the 2-factor auth is required only for withdrawal and changing security settings, or for every login.  For me, having an attacker lose my balance to the house would be just as upsetting as having them withdraw it to their own address.

We hadn't really considered the possibility of your attacker just being spiteful when we first built this Smiley You raise a good point though - we'll add an extra option to require the OTP for logging in as well.

Bug report -

I was playing blackjack for 100 millibitcoins per hand and was dealt an 11 vs dealer's 9 (I think?). I doubled, hit 21 and won the hand. I clicked cashout and it would not let me cash out. So I bet 1 millibitcoin and lost the next hand and it let me cash out.

I believe this was a temporary issue that we introduced, and should be fixed now. Sorry about that! What's your bitZino account name? I'll comp you some BTC to make up for this.

I also think your craps game was rolling two hands at once or doing something crazy. It happened fast, but it looked like I won my don't pass odds bet as well as the bet I had an don't come at the same time. I could be wrong because the animations were happening pretty fast.

Hmm, I doubt that it was actually playing 2 hands at once, because our backend system would completely disallow that. However, it may have been an animation glitch. We'll keep an eye out for this! Also please let me know if you find a way to replicate it Smiley
