Hi, I see that the power supplies are in the blackarrow store but I have a couple of questions.

1: It shows a shipping and handling fee, can't it be shipped with the main order if I pay with btc?

2: If it can't, can I order 2 psus? (A friend also has an order for an X3)

Overclock pulls down efficiency in both ASIC + PSU. It's obvious that a PSU @ max power is a spreading heater, especially if is rated (10A x 12V & 5A x 5V ) and you ask 150W.

Before work on that inductor, BE SURE that modification dosen't drop efficiency when the system works in SS corner ( this could be possible! ) and amperage is lower.

As I said, people that thinks about overclock haven't realize that mining is not more how many TH we put on the network, but the quality of TH !!

So

  • in overclock mode DON'T spend time working on efficienty, focus ONLY in stability and GH/s
  • in underclock mode DON'T spend time working on GH/s , focus ONLY in stability and efficiency

Compromises in corner modes are not allowed, this should be only a natural goal when you run them in TT mode.

You can't do a FERRARI that consume 20 Km/litre, you can't do a FIAT that run 300 km/h ( without die while testing Cheesy ).

I appreciate what BA is doing with both the updates and the compensation package. They could of just left us with the original hosting. And they could of been like BFL and no given anything.

Even though the extra units do not come with PSU's, it's still pretty awesome, money out of their pockets. If you can't afford to buy the PSU's, sell them with out.

On the BA forums they mention there is an 8% power leak on the current PSU's and sort-of off-handedly said that if you don't like it your order will be delayed until the replacement PSU's are in.  I imagine this is because they are tired and frustrated.  A more official update will hopefully come soon that explains our options and what the final testing results are.

I think most miners would want to run these off ATX psu's in the long run. Efficiency in mind thats prolly the best option?

Keep it up BA hope you get .6w per ghs like you said!

Anxiously waiting for 30 X-1!

Linux since 1997 RedHat 4
...
A:3840 HW:32 = 0.83% Errors which is acceptable but would need to see a longer run.
Aside: I have HW showing on the screen from the original prototype testing - so it's also 'in your face' rather than quietly counting HW like all the other ASIC drivers.
(I'll remove that soon)

... and yes that's the old code - I'm testing with current get.

better everyday ♥
Still waiting... no updates.

I think they mentioned May 8th as the next official update, probably sometime mid day for the western customers.

I would buy one but the minimum quantity is 10.  Strange thing is you can buy just one power adapter.

If you want just one, I'd wait around here(Bitcointalk).  Once they start shipping, alot of the customers will try to get rid of these guys in Marketplace>Goods>Computer Hardware section of this forum.  Probably be some deals to be had.

Or if you're a glutton for punishment and want to wait like the rest of us suckers, you can order just 1 here:

I dunno what everyone is moaning about. Is that 125GH from one chip for 150W?
Compared to the A1 25GH chips that's very good!  Cool Maybe it can be underclocked to get 100GH for 1GH/W?
A:3840 HW:32 = 0.83% Errors which is acceptable but would need to see a longer run.

We have 1GH/W since last year so I don't see what's so special about BA's chips. Price? Availability?

If their production cost per 28nm chip is the same as the A1 it means they'll have a $/GH advantage.

BA will use 75% less chips to create a miner with the same GH as an A1 based miner.

What i still don't understand about the whole thing is, where the hell do the bitfury boards and shit come into play. Why was it that after 3 months of taking preorders that they get their hands on a massive amount of bitfury boards and chips? Remember the pictures from the first trip to china (i think that was when they were posted, it was a pretty decent sized farm for the time)? I bring this up after checking out the black arrow site and seeing the "liquidation price" of 100 bucks for 40gh/s bitfury boards. Still not as nice as antminers as the furies need a supply and it appears a control board as well.

My guess.. they are dumping their own farm as they see it very close to bringing their minion farm online.
It was posted elsewhere that those boards were a customer's boards being hosted at their facility, seems more like the customer is having BA sell the gear for him/her.

That does seem vaguely familiar now that you mention that,  thanks.

WOOHOO, got an email back from minersource about receiving a refund. Still waiting, hopefully it makes it to my wallet! I will edit this when the btc appears in my wallet!

Good thing you complained to the FTC right?

So we missed every promise and goal we set forth for out investomers, sorry guys. To make up for it here is a buy two get one free sale, but then you need to buy a 50 dollar power supply and cover the shipping cost as well to make your compensation package work. You can't even turn around around and sell the compensation miners because they don't fuckin work.

So missing a single deadline means they missed every single goal and promise?

And not having a power supply means you can't sell the miner?

#logic

Put words in my mouth much. I know the complaint didn't do much. But at the same time, it is very peculiar that after posting the link and such is when my questions about refunds are answered. After being ignored NUMEROUS times, it is a coincidence, i know, but way to spit venom, dick.

They made two promises on shipping dates, end of feb, end of april. I don't have my miners, do you? That is EVERY promise they have made. OH and the promise to be the best $ per gh/s. That one as well, so three. I would be fine if they didn't make any promises to begin with, but what ever. #logic

The price at which i would have to sell them without the power supply, even with a power supply. These things are going to be paper weights. I still have two ordered from black arrow. I don't want fucking 7 of them. No thank you.

jims, sometimes you may sound accurate, but here, either you have s**t in your eyes or you are just getting paid by every single chip manufacturer in the place.

No I just try to not let emotions get in the way of my decision making.

2 month delay is unfortunate but that's about it. Trolls have blown the misfortune way out of proportion.

Why does nobody commend BA for constant detailed weekly updates and the compensation that they were not required to give?

Or thank minersource for doing everything they can to make things right for their customers?

They could have pulled a bfl and delayed for 6+ months with no refunds or compensation but they chose not to because they are not scumbags.
