I have another update that I was informed of:

The minion has passed the DRC checks. Mask manufacturing has begun. (This was as of last night)

For us laymen, does that mean they are on, ahead, or behind schedule?

Sounds like they're at least on schedule. From wiki:

Design Rule Checking or Check(s) (DRC) is the area of Electronic Design Automation that determines whether the physical layout of a particular chip layout satisfies a series of recommended parameters called Design Rules. Design rule checking is a major step during Physical verification signoff on the design, which also involves LVS (Layout versus schematic) Check, XOR Checks, ERC (Electrical Rule Check) and Antenna Checks. For advanced processes some fabs also insist upon the use of more restricted rules to improve yield.

Thanks for posting that... I had to look it up myself.

Freak.

Just when we get some updates from BA, PG hogs up the page again.

Thanks alot, spammer!

Why don't you find something big and rough and stick it up your ass, while I continue to expose the characters that Black Arrow opts to surround themselves with. BTW, fuckface, I did the same thing on Hashfast's thread, and look where they are now. Perhaps, you even ordered from AMT.

PG, man do I like this guy's spunk!  (pun intended)   Cool

I'll give you one thing, you're definitely persistent and diligent in your detective work, no matter how aimless and pointless it is.  A true "dick"!   Cheesy

So, would you go on record, right here, right now, and state that Matt Carson's warehouse story is correct and mine is a falsehood?

I don't care if Matt Carson jacks off into a sock in Missouri or Colorado, as long as these miners ship from somewhere.

People obviously ordered equipment from Minersouce or Matt Carson as you like to call him (Antminers), not sure what point you're trying to make.

So, Matt Carson paid $10,000 for Miner Source to be a Bronze Sponsor at the Austin conference next week, eh. We already know he'll proudly be displaying Black Arrow's banner in his booth. Not bad for a hookah-token lying piece of shit.

What's wrong with hookah's?

Hey PG, last one for you today as I don't want you to keep derailing this thread off topic.

Please tell me your detective sense can tell us all what warehouse this is in Missouri or Colorado, so we can nab these crooked liars finally!

Ooh, look at those shiny stickers!  Are those Antminers?!  (Drool)

Anyways, I'm not a shill for them, as I don't care if Minersource succeeds as a reseller or not.  If anything they've actually shipped things in their control, as most of the buyers can attest.

If anything your ire should be pointed at BA to make sure they stay on point on this project, and don't rip us off with cardreaders.

I got one of those units last night!!!

You should follow the golden rule of not feeding the trolls. Nothing you say will matter. It will just create more posts with big colorful bold letters and cursing.

Anarchy is not chaos.
What's the best way to go about asking for a refund from BA? I tried using their website; I posted two questions on the communication tab associated with my order and haven't heard a peep since I asked about a refund a few months ago. Should I email them directly? Contact them through Facebook? PM them here?
yes.

Edit: I was digging through their website and I found that their ticketing system is not linked to the purchasing system. So on the Communication tab associated with my order, there isn't any indication that my question has been answered; but if I look in the support area there are responses to the tickets that were generated by my posting questions. That seems like something that should be fixed.  Cheesy  Sorry for giving any impression that BA is unresponsive, this is my own mistake.

Aaaaand, PG back on ignore. Every once in a while I have to peek, then my eyes start bleeding and I regret it.

Matt, I'm here in Colorado, just north of Denver and am a developer. PM if you want another set of eyes on the database.

I'd also like to arrange pickup once the machines come in.

PM'ed, and local pickup here wont be a problem. Have a guy coming to get a couple of S1s in a few.

Im picking up a S1 tonight so I'll report back. I expect everything to be peachy. Ive got 600 GH on order with MS for BA too. And plan to preorder another 400 or so GH/S soon.

New S1 up and running. Easy and fast transaction. Took about 10 mins to get up and hashing.

A tip for newbies.. if you ignore 5 or 6 people on this site it becomes a pleasant place to hold a conversation.

I have personally ordered and received hardware from bobsag and am quite happy with his service like most of his customers.

Anarchy is not chaos.
That's gonna be a problem since they need to be next to a router to work, right? I'm trying to think how I can have the two machines near a router, but plugged into different circuits...

Two easy solutions come to mind. Easiest is a 50 foot Cat 5 cable, next is to link two routers via wifi.
That one requires some tweaking, but I've done it. Not a huge deal either way.

Or just use your dryer circuit Smiley Who needs dry clothes?

I don't think you would have been able to put both rigs on a single circuit even if they had achieved the original 0.6w/gh.
0.6w/gh would allow 2TH to work off a normal (20Amp) household circuit safely.  So yeah, I suppose you could undervolt and do it, but that seems a waste.  I'd rather run off two circuits and overvolt.

From BA:
27/02/2014 - Production Update
Thank you for posting the update, goozman96.

0.75W/GHs will be about 1.17W/GHs at the wall (80% efficiency on the ASIC voltage regulators, and 80% on the PSU).  That's ~2300Watts for the X3, which is well over what a household circuit can muster.  Little hobbyists like myself are going to have to put half the X3 on one circuit, and half on another.   Cool

I don't think you would have been able to put both rigs on a single circuit even if they had achieved the original 0.6w/gh. Still a bit disappointing although they were never going to be the most efficient miners to begin with. Asicminer 0.35w/gh is impossible to compete with.

Makes me wish I place my whole order with Minersource instead of BA directly before they made the 10min orders.
