Well poop. Have an order that is presently in limbo, and would like to know if I made the batch 1 cutoff myself.

Have been waiting for a response from sales about submitting a payment :| Order #229x

double poop, I'm in exact same boat. orders #154x and #168x for (6) X3's that was meant to of been a group buy with my friends.

now my friends that don't understand the bitcoin business think I've duped them.  I'm fucked from both ends.

Don't take this the wrong way please but you kinda have, if you did not fully explain the extreme risk involved with any pre-order ASIC minesr then they are kinda right IMO.

you're right and I have tried to explain to them as best as I can that this is risky, and there's good chance (probably 95% chance) that they probably won't see their money back.  And I keep telling them if you want in on bitcoin and want a chance of making a profit, the best way would be just buy bitcoin and hold.  Still they wan't to be miners and not take my advice to just buy bitcoin.

hell, I was telling my friends to buy bitcoins just after 'Silk Road' was busted (I think it was October 2nd) and bitcoin was just over $80 the day after the bust.

oh well, Live and learn  Undecided

Hi BlackArrow

Can we have a confirmation on the official cut-off for batch 1? According to bobsag we have already reached that checkpoint?

Cheers

BA always wants us to check the knowledge base because they are so busy.

"Knowledgebase: Orders
Is first batch sold out?
Posted by Julia I. on 23 November 2013 04:20 PM

We will post on our website when our first batch will be close to be sold out. The post will be displayed in our News section at: http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/index.php?dispatch=news.list."

the last entry in the news section on the BA site is the Minion data sheet ...... bobsag3 did indicate that BA may have closed batch 1 a bit early so those orders still waiting for payment update could be processed and make it into batch 1

triple poop...

ordered 6. Dez with minersource, #82x, I have to admit I didn't request the BTC amount yet, but thought I had 15 days to pay until my order was deleted.

@ bobsag3, if I payed now, would I still be in the first batch? If not, I think I'll pass.

Guys, Batch 1 is sold out. I guess they have not updated their site yet, but they communicated to me yesterday that Batch 2 was now open, for delivery late april. Any one who paid for an order through me through last night will have made it into Batch 1, All orders starting today are Batch 2. Hope that clears it up.

I do take USD thru the site, just current not enabled due to a bug. (You tried to select "Wire", and the site would just 404).
I had ordered from you on Nov 27th ID is #491, 2xX1's, sent two emails to the address provided to receive payment instructions and pm'd you here several times where you said you would get to this post haste. Never heard back from you since and never received an email with payment instructions. Now I have missed batch one due to this. Ridiculous and upsetting.

It's strange how these ASIC manufactures can't maintain steady production, they have to leave large gaps and work in batches.

wafer production typically takes 2 months and needs to be planned ahead. Just how many wafers would you feel comfortable ordering when you havent yet tested your first chip?

Damn glad I got in on my two x-3's/hope this goes as planned and I'll be onto your next gen machines!

Some of you guy's need to calm down. I realize you spent 6 grand. that doesn't make the employee's your waiter's to jump when you say bark..

Well no one asked them too Huh But there has been a very simple question being asked several times here and in the BA forum with no reply but we are busy!
And that is when must the Minion be taped out in order to meet the FEB launch? Someone knows and I think we have a right to know. Not to mention this issue/panic over the delivery date changing to APR could/should have been avoided by both sites stating " Batch 1 sold out" pre order batch 2 now for APR at the same time, how hard can that be?

Glad your on line Matt Grin I think the single most important question for most people is "tape out" When must that occur to meet the Feb 24 launch date? Are we close to having a tape out.

and he logs off as soon as i asked that Huh and that statement above looks like a cut/paste from a few days ago, said the same thing, told us nothing

I actually logged off a minute after I posted to do other things like answer tickets. I didn't just leave to avoid your question. I can assure you that I didn't just copy/paste. I actually read all 10 pages and thought about what I wanted to say.

I'll look into any information we can release regarding tape out.

Bobsag3 has answered that question above, the Apr date is for batch2. unfortunately BA nor minersource have used the terms Feb batch sold out! Per order now for Apr. or something similar and to add to the confusion BA has not changed the dates at all. please go top of page and read his reply

Well, that is unfortunate. If I had known this was coming I would have ordered last night. KNC is now looking much more attractive.

ordering 1000 chips for a small version1 batch is expensive, espescially when problems or room for improvement appear, and takes a lot of capital risk. Its easier to scale production then it is to run headlong into it with your entire budget
