All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
I know this is probably pointless to ask but:  How long till blockchain.info will be back up?

He can he has and he will, that's why if you use blockchain.info and have backups of its encrypted wallets, you better backup the whole repo's zip archive off github or at least the part the lets you decrypt the wallet.

There are several wallets that can import the Blockchain.info encrypted backup files, so you don't need to back up the entire site.  Fortunately, as otherwise noone would be using the site.

Could you point me in the direction for those other several wallets?  I have my blockchain.info wallet backups, but now that their service is offline (for upgrading from Mac Mini to Dell server) I really need to move some funds quickly.

same problem.

Would you mind temporarily removing the direct links to SatoshiDICE betting addresses to put pressure on the site operators to stop taking advantage of the block chain during this critical stage of Bitcoin growth? I know this might go against your short term financial interests but really if you stop to think about it, the "startup capital" of the Bitcoin network (gmaxwell's terminology for the currently unused space in each block) is going to unproductive activity which does not grow the Bitcoin economy.
Oh please, stop spamming threads with this guff.

Away on an extended break
PM'ed piuk to update you guys. Honestly, he needs more employees at this stage.
No response so far. I guess he has some pressing matters IRL, and hopefully he gets back fast.

PS: This thread (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/importing-private-key-from-a-blockchain-wallet-148455) still needs you, Ben.

I was pretty civilized on my first emails... But now this is just getting annoying.
It's not that hard to have a page where he shows recent changes to the code to avoid this kind of situation. There are many, many services that would stop for a day or two if blockchain.info disappears, this is some serious business!
And how much are you paying for that, exactly?

And how much are they charging, exactly?

There's something wrong with this: https://blockchain.info/api/api_receive

It's not sending the callback...

My script is here: https://coinad.com/?m=account&op=deposit
I save the IP every time the callback script is accessed. And I don't see any IP from blockchain there.
Everything works when I send a test callback. I just think for some reason blockchain has blocked callbacks to my site or something like that.

EDIT:
Hmm.. I changed server, (different IP) maybe the dns hasn't spread to blockchain's server, and it's still pointing to the old server?
WTF is happening with this? I don't understand why it doesn't trigger the callback, did you block my domain or something like that?

You take forever to reply by email, helpdesk and bitcointalk!

If I ran a free service and you contacted me with this sort of attitude, I wouldn't want to help you either.

Not saying that's what's going on here, but it's a possibility. Have you considered that you're not entitled to use the free service provided by Piuk, and that you should tone down your attitude in accordance with that fact?

If nothing is done about SD transaction spam (economically unspendable outputs which can't be pruned), transaction fees will be driven higher and every miner will bear the cost of forever storing these unprunable tx in their copies of the blockchain. In the long run, increased fees are not a problem but at the early stage we are in, it could dampen Bitcoin adoption or possibly kill it.

Thanks
