Jacob who did you buy the device from?
I Brought it off of ebay, (As i have no bit coin to buy it because I'm just starting off).
as a fully working device, and i can't return it as it says no returns.
Thank you!

have a read on this site, he sells miners and has some setup information:-  www.cryptoware.co.uk

EDIT
Can you list your hardware and what you have done up to now?

What I'm using(trying) to mine.
Raspberry pi model B running MinePeon 0.2.5
Blue fury (And 3 block erupters which work fine on mine peon)
5v USB Hub (came with the raspberry pi).

Thank you!

Try setting up everything again. Doing a gitpull for the latest code. But not letting the block erupters near mine peon they normally cause conflicting issues.

Ok, reset everything recently, and haven't plugged them in, but the Blue fury still donsnt work.

Thanks!

Hello, i was wondering why my Blue Fury won't work, I've plugged it into my MinePeon run raspberry pi, no luck, and my computer, again no luck. I can see that its getting power because the lights come on. But it doesn't seem to work.  Cry

Thank you!

1.  you need a powered USB2 hub  (your PC may have enough power but many do not) (the rPi will not drive a miner)

2. Have you installed the correct drivers? (Here:-  http://www.mediafire.com/download/819me4zvdju8lyg/bfgminerWin.zip)

3. what mining software are you using?

I'm using a powered hub, and mine peon has the drivers installed apparently.
And Ive tried using BFGMiner, and CGMiner.

Thanks!

What version of minepeon?     the latest is 0.2.5 pr1

If you log into minepeon from your PC then all the pool and setup menus are there on screen.

Yes, its ver 0.2.4, but should that affect it? And it works fine with my three block erupters.
Thank you!

Initially there was a clash between bluefury and erupter drivers, the fix at the time was to name the ports, com1    com2    etc.

you will have to do some reading on the BFGminer thread  as to how this works.  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4819869

also on the minepeon thread   https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4806905

there is a lot of reading there,

unless someone else can jump in with more detail.

Still can't find out the cause and how to fix it. Could it be a fault with the device its self?

Thanks!

CCNA: There i fixed the internet.
January 24, 2014, 03:53:30 PM
I just got a red fury and am running it on my mac with Asteroid. I'm getting 2.4GH/s, with less than 0.1% rejects,  which I am satisfied with.

Question: After about an hour of running the heat sink has a temperature of about 120 deg F (50 C) and the chip on the end of the circuit board is at about 130 deg F (55 C). This is with no fans or additional cooling. Is this a safe operating temperature, or do I need to use a fan?

Thanks,
Rick

those are actually on the very cool end.  the 4 nanofuries and the 1 protofury (redfury prototype release) that i have all run with just passive cooling at 160 deg F no issue at STP. the protofury(BPMC BF1) is hashing at 2.85Ghash/sec

with all the HW i have i should probably throw a fan their way. but considering they're in a windowsill(where they run much cooler) and its minus 2 deg F outside atm. no worries. MOAR OC.  Cool Cool Cool

I found out what I was doing "wrong". I was using the pencil on the top part of the sides of R15. I used my pencil on both the top and the sides. It got to hashing nice! What I mean by sides is where the soldering is on the board. The one that was only getting to about 2.2GHS hit 3.2 - 3.3GHS! I was like YEAH!_! The one that was hitting 2.4GHS hit 3.7GHS last night! The error rate on it was high though, so I had to tame it back a little.  Wink
As far as your questions freddyfarnsworth.
I have both furies at opposite ends of the hub but they are side by side. I have the Antminer on a different hub all by itself.
I looked up the specs on the hub I have and I couldn't find $h!+ besides what bestbuy already has on their site. Not even the box it came in has any real specs for it. I went to check if I could find anymore info on it's plug but all the info is on the side that plugs into the wall and with the furies hitting 3+GHS. I didn't feel like chancing it buy unplugging the hub.
I have two furies that before last night were hitting about 2.4GHS and 2.2GHS
Yep they're cooled! They're in a room that stays cool and has a ceiling fan. I also have a desk fan on them too.
Oh! And I was right. They really do like the 4B pencil better.  Grin

I think it's important to use a classic/generic soft Pencil (strength HB) as opposed to some other "hard" types that would last much longer writing but won't give enough abrasion on the surface (thus not doing much for the desired function, especially since it's not paper in this case).

My first attempts were made with a too hard pencil and basically had almost no effect.
Then I overdid it using a classic soft HB grade pencil and my BlueFuries went to well beyond 3GHs which caused me to carefully undo and re-apply the pencil mod.

For now I'm running two at about 2.45Ghs and one at 2.8GHs with no unusual HW error rates or other malfunctions (have a big USB fan keeping them very cool).

I used a I think a HB pencil first, then re-did it using a 4B with a little bit of 6B on top of it. They seem to like the 4B pencil better. That's why I was asking if my USB hub could be the cause of not hitting numbers past 2.4 GHS.
Before I used the 4B I was getting about 2.3 and 2.2 GHS. With the 4B last night the most I got out of it is 2.46 and 2.33 GHS. That's with me watching and refreshing minepeon as I'm doing it. Could it be that minepeon doesn't have that most updated version of BFGMiner??? At this point I'm just happy that I was one of the few who just plugged in my Furies and they were up and running out of the box. I had to fiddle around a little bit to get the Antminer running right. It doesn't like going past x0981. I tired x0A81 but it wasn't going past 2.1 GHS and it had like 20% errors.
This is the hub I got.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/7-port-usb-hub/2389331.p;jsessionid=212795705A34E399957973495146587C.bbolsp-app02-132?id=1218324437376&skuId=2389331&st=powerd%20usb%20hub&cp=1&lp=13
Like I said, could that be the issue???
Thanks to everyone on here for the help!

Nice looking hub, how close are the devices when side by side ?

What is the 5v wallwart rated at in amps ?

How many fury devices are on the hub ?

Are they cooled ?
