they are not the same thing.
a bounty hunter is a worker that is wasting his time to advertise mostly shitty coins with no future so that he can get paid in that coin only and dump it to get a very small amount of money out.
trading however is a complicated way of playing the market in a way to make a lot of profit or lost a lot of money if you don't know what you are doing. you can't just switch from one to another!

If you are going to choose one between those two, just choose trading. Trading takes less time to do and it is not that hard to do because you will just do buy and sell with a basic analyzing from the chart that you will for each cryptocurrency in the market while bounty is indeed a simple job but you might get stressed out from that since some of the bounty are just waste of time.

I do both right now. I do a nice signature bounty here and also get paid for doing some promotional videos for one company, so, for now, these two jobs take up most of my day, but I also day trade one token, that I am trying to accumulate a big bag of, then sometimes I trade that token to make more eth, to buy other coins/tokens as well. I am also taking out more time in the day to learn TECHNICAL ANALYSIS, so for the first time this week actually learned how to use the FIBONACCI RETRACEMENT LINES and I was spot on one of my TA for this token after it pumped, which was nice. I feel we need to learn and if we can earn while we learn, it's even more rewarding. Next thing on my list is to learn video editing so I can take my Youtube promos to the next level and brand myself so I can earn nice bounties, providing awesome value.

2019 has been a year with mixed feelings for crypto enthusiasts. A lot of bounty hunters have now switched over to trading, because bounty is longer profitable.
Some that have combined the two (both bounty and trading), while larger percentage are still into bounty, despite not being profitable.
I envisage that in two to three years to this time, the population of people on bounty will reduce drastically, because it will no longer be profitable as it used to be.
Still surprised that there are still people who do bounty hunting yet this thing is already considered dead since the decline of the market after 2017 and the rest of the years is just totally garbage where
most projects didnt able to hit up their cap due to loss of confidence of possible investors but eventually there are still do hang out specially for those legit projects but sadly most of them
There are alot of people still doing bounty hunting including me but i stopped because most of the project just scams of their bounty hunters, i already got scammed alot by projects that doesn't pay their bounty hunters, although there are still market for ico but it's very weak now, projects that just stop developing their project because of lack of funding that just show they are incompetent about their product, they are very lazy about updating their project i think that's why most of the ico now just dont get any fundings at all.

Personally, I now periodically trade so far the market gives such opportunities, but the bounty is mostly now no longer relevant, there are only some projects that are willing to pay a fixed fee for your work and only they need to participate

As you know bounty is always profitable because you have not invest any amount and got free token for your hardwork and promotion but trading have risks if you invest in trading you can suffer loss also.

do still fail due to lack of funding. If the project fails then so as with bounty hunters. The thing here is that you wont really invest any money unlike on trading thats why there are people
who do still stick with it.

You have a good point as we are in the bearish market as of the moment but we are currently recovering from it, so not too long bounty campaign will become profitable again.

Once it happen, the bounty hunters number will surely boost again. Trading is kinda risky compare to bounty hunting, therefore it is better to earn a few rather than losing some money in trading.
Trading is for professional only, if you want to be part of it. You need to study, you need to take time and learn from your experiences or mistakes. You will not become a professional trader in just a week or month especially if you are starting from scratch.

I still follow the bounty even though many are pessimistic, but I am optimistic that bounty will have good results with a quality project and a solid team. Bounty yields results and it can be traded so that it can provide benefits.

There was a time when the rewards from a single signature bounty was equivalent to the monthly wages in some third world nations. But a lot has changed since then. Many of the bounties are not paying, the duration of the campaigns have increased, and above all the rewards have declined by as much as 80% to 90%.
In the past, bounty payments were so tempting and many people experienced success so they could improve the economic level in their lives. even many people can become rich when they are successful and right on target in following the bounty. for now following a good bounty is quite a difficult thing, maybe in a calculation that trading will be far more profitable. everyone will choose according to their abilities, bounty and trading are just as good. but for now, trading is far more passionate than bounty. maybe it can change some time in the future, let's just wait.

trading will always be profitable when compare to bounties because you cannot get wrong in trading  . i mean your income is more guaranteed because you can easily choose a good coin while on bounties  , you wont know if the project that you join will succeed or will be postponed on the middle of thier run  .  bounties before are verry profitable but its not a good idea to depend on it because the payout is longer compare to a real job offline  .

There might be still some good bounties to join but it will over crowded if there any so you will make very few tokens so for now better learn to trading and keep doing bounties if you have spare time or you can come to bounty hunting once it is profitable.

For me personally I do both of these things. Trading and being a bounty hunter certainly makes me have the opportunity to make a profit. From the income from being a bounty hunter, of course I use it again to trade. Maybe it's a strategy that I think is good.

Both have different benefits in different ways if you are a trader you had put some investment and trade your your kind and make the profit but in bounty campaigns we have to put all your work and they will paid for your work this is the simple cards of going between them.

When that happens then ICO companies will be force to give larger percentage to bounty hunters. If 2 percent is not enough then make it 4.

A large help has been given by bounty hunters specially those who translate pages and websites. They must given the right amount for them to complete their tasks.

Yeah, I have heard a lot of users getting bored with participating in bounties. It is time to give them the right payment.
It is also for good advertisement.

Trading has a very high learning curve but it is possible to make a living out of it.  I would suggest using some of those demo services to practice with play money before you go and jump into the deep end.

Agreed most bounty hunters quit their job and some switch to trading and some quit crypto. Most bounties are not profitable really and some of them reduce bounty allocation once it reaches its hardcap/softcap. Most projects not really respect the works of bounty hunters, hope this projects know that bounty hunters are one of the core in marketing their project.
I don't think we should compare bounty and trading, both of them are clearly different. You need capital to trade and bounties don't need that. of course his income will be much greater on trade because you can profit many times over.
It is uncertain because you can still lose money instead of receiving multiple returns with trading. Unlike trading, bounty helps us have an income after a period participating in ICO support, and you do not need to spend any cost to receive the rewards. I appreciate Bounty compared to Trade, hope everyone will make their own choices.

Why not just do both, you can be a trader and a bounty hunter at the same time.
Bounty hunting is not a job that gives stable income, although you don't risk money doing it but your time is important, so if you are not getting
satisfied with what you make, you need to adjust and change your ways.

Trading is not a job either, you need to risk your money in trading, so if does not guarantee you succeed.
Good combination is look for a decent job and you can be a trader at the same time, bounty can wait, it needs a good market timing to be profitable.

I am confident that trading brings more profit than bounty. It seems to me that an experienced trader thanks to daily trading can earn good money now. Bounty brings less profit.
You did not mentioned about the bankroll right.
It is easy to make 20 usd on 2000 usd , but it is dammn too tight to make 5 usd on 20 usd. This is all matter of bankroll and percentage of profit. Please don't astray away new users in trading if they are not aware of risk, it is better to give a detailed information on what is right and what is wrong.
