win lambo...
We seldom see 50/50 fights, hardcore fight fans should be very happy that this one if finally happening. Credit to the winner but I can only hope Beterbiev had this opportunity during hsi younger years.

It's better late than never, dude. Beterbiev is still undefeated, so there's no reason to question his capability. Forget about his age and just look at how impressive he is in his previous fights. Having a 100% KO rate, this fighter is very scary, a monster he is, and Bivol has to make sure he has a game plan, not to go with the flow and try to measure the power of Beterbiev going toe to toe.

I cannot wait for this fight to happen. So there's still 3 months to go. I wonder if someone is healing an injury which is why the schedule is a bit far from usual. Anyways, both can still relax and re-energize for few weeks before starting their training camps. Both are hungry to become the division's first undisputed champion.
I agree, maybe we eagerly wanted to see the Ryan Garcia vs Devin Haney fight because of all the hype and it looks like it's going to be personal for the boxers as they want to take each other head's off because of their hatred. But I think this could also be one of the most anticipated fight specially that it has the backing of the Saudi's as they know this fight doesn't happen very often, a unification fight for the LHW.

Personally, I am one of those that aren't much interested on Kingry's first title fight against Haney. No matter how much Ryan can talk and bring hype, it's a fact that he is far from the level of Haney. Although there is no rehydration clause, Haney could be the one benefitting it during fight night. I cannot imagine how Ryan beats Haney this time. It's a complete mismatch IMO.

The last time I heard about the odds, Bivol has overtaken Beterbiev but looking at @Baofeng's update another reversal happened. I am still rooting for Bivol and will make my bet soon. This is Bivol's biggest test of his career while Beterbiev can say this is not his biggest test, he is not young anymore that made the odds looked close.
And that shift as well indicates that this is going to be very close fight, fans are not sure who to beat on this one that's why it keeps moving and there are not clear favorite. Maybe this week it will be Bivol, but then after seeing Beterbiev's training clip in his social media, fans are going to bet on them, so there will be a sway on the odds on his favor. Nevertheless, we all know how time flies, so we just have to be patience as for sure June will come.

Yeah, this fight is close. Which is why I cannot afford to not watch this fight. Both are Russians and do not have huge fanbase in the western world but this is the real fight, champion versus champion facing each other for the undisputed ruler of the division.

Anyways, both can still relax and re-energize for few weeks before starting their training camps. Both are hungry to become the division's first undisputed champion.

I don't hear any news about either boxer getting injured. Perhaps this has been set long time ago, they will just have to win their respective fight and that's what happen here. Beterbiev crushing Callum Smith, and then Bivol lopsided win against Arthur.

Maybe Beterbiev wants a good long rest and a long training camp. I heard Usyk at his age also prefers long training camps because they want weeks of light training and conditioning before slowly transitioning into the hard part.

There could be a love of reversals here as this fight is very difficult for even experts to predict. And if you would listen to trainers and boxers alike making their prediction, it is still 50/50 as well and it shows in the odds as well. Most likely the favorite will be 1.8x, and it will be close that we have seen in any fights in the last 2 years.

It's found to have long preparation on this one since both will gonna have the best of their fights since getting into the Pro Boxing and it would be just not really good if they have only little time for their training because it might lead to the other boxer not to reach his full potential on his training. at this rate, their reasons are all taken and when they finally face against each other inside the ring, they will be at their very best. No wonder, most fans speculated this fight did not reach the official's scorecards since both of them wanted to finish each other as early as possible to avoid some misjudgment by the officials.

The fight have been set very early, maybe there was no issues whatsoever between the two camps and I think it could be that Bivol take a lion share of the split as he has more belts? What can you say boxing fans?

And with that, they have a lot of time in their hands to prepare for this fight. And I'm seeing that the best version will come up here.
Just a matter of who we are going to bet here. Bivol is not as powerful as Beterbiev but he throws a lot of punch. While Beterbiev will rely on his raw power to soften Bivol and maybe look for the knockout in the late rounds.

Beterbiev is funny guy, Lol, but you can look at the reaction of Bivol here. But at least we will finally see the undisputed fight.

And just like that, the odds are in favor of Beterbiev, @1.86, Bivol @1.88.

So most likely this odds are going to move as we inch closer to the fight.
Enemies inside of the ring, but outside, they're friends. At least that's what I saw with that video.
I thought that there would be something funny out there like a funny face coming from either of them or what. Well like you said, at least the fight that we are constantly talking about is already happening. It's for the "King of the Light Heavyweight title" Cheesy

This thread was posted almost a month ago already, and I didn't know that this fight would happen this year. If not only for this thread, I will not know that it will happen. Anyway, this fight is anybody's fight. Yes, Beterbiev has that power punch of him that makes his opponent knock out, but Bivol has the speed as well. I guess let's just remember that during their fight with Canelo, many of us already predicted that he would win, but he upset Canelo, his fans, and us as well. I'm not saying that it will happen with Beterbiev, but it CAN happen. I mean he's a champion.

I want to bet, but I don't know who. I'm thinking Beterbiev, but I don't want to underestimate Bivol either.

I love the sportsmanship of both boxers..... They are not trash-talking, but we know what we can expect in the ring. I would say, this will be a real battle since these two are genuine warriors in the ring, and the way they behave suggests they are well-prepared for the upcoming fight. They are not disrespecting each other; it's just pure business. Surely, the fans are not going to regret watching the fight as there will be no boring moments here.

Probably it's because both are Russians and so they try to be cordial when they did that face-off. But in any case, the fight is already on schedule and for sure we might hear some trash talking but not like the American way of talking about their opponents.

Yes, for sure this is going to be one of the biggest fights in LHW in recent years. And as per odds, it has switch hands as well and obviously, there are gamblers who's putting big money already as early as this month as they want to take advantage of the early odds.

That could be it, and it's notable that they haven't engaged in trash talk with their past opponents.

Regarding the odds, it seems there haven't been significant changes yet, which might indicate that a 50/50 bet coming from both fighters. This bout should be one of the biggest this year, although the heavyweight undisputed fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk is anticipated to be the biggest, at least for me.

What's everyone call on Benavidez going up in the Light Heavy Weight division because he can't get a fight with Canelo. It was reported that he will be facing Oleksandr Gvozdyk in June for the WBC ‘interim’ belt and WBC mandatory position.

And it means that the winner of this fight will likely face Benavidez, assuming he wins against Gvozdyk.

This could also fuel and motivate both Beterbiev and Bivol as it will also be a big money fight to go against Benavidez. Of course the real winner here is us, boxing fans. So it's very exciting to see if this is going to happen or things might come up.

I wonder how the rising David Benavidez would end up fighting Olexandr Gvozdyk. Well, if this is the only way for him to face either Bivol or Beterbiev, and if Canelo is this fearful of him, then so be it. But it seems the fight is too lop-sided.

Oleksandr Gvozdyk is rated as high as 2nd in the 175 lbs. So it's going to be a big test for Benavidez if the news is true that he is moving up in the Light Heavyweight. Maybe he knows that he is not going to get the Canelo sweepstakes and so he had to make the adjustments.

I'm not taking anything from Gvozdyk but I doubt he is his old self. Yeah, he probably had shaken off much of his ring rust after more than 3 years of inactivity since he also had 3 fights last year alone, but he wasn't really facing top caliber fighters. Obando even had more defeats than wins. And, in boxing, age matters.

Anyway, this is just the alternative in case Canelo doesn't stop running from Benavidez despite a juicy offer. But possibilities are still open. In the meantime, I think the technicality of Bivol will keep him safe from Beterbiev's power and he will survive and win by UD.

Gvozdyk could be the next in line and could face the winner here. But with Benavidez entering the picture, it's good that this is going to be some sort of elimination fight between the two and winner getting the champion and for all the belts in the line.

Now going with the Beterbiev VS Bivol fight these two are set to really fight, and finally it has come true even though the promotion was set up by Saudi Arabia’s Chairman of General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh, this will be a great opportunity for fans to now see the anticipated fight between the two undated boxers for sure that this will be a great fight that will be set up this year, for sure the PPV will explode with this fight, but for me, Artur Beterbiev is a much Dangerous opponent for Dmitry Bivol than when he fought Canelo Alvarez, for sure that Beterbiev has the technicality and the power to make this fight a fast fight for sure.

Pretty sure Beterbiev fighting Bivol for the undisputed championship is another entertaining fight. It will be a fight between a smart fighter and a knockout artist. But with regards to the PPV buys, I do not think it will explode. They are great fighters but they are not popular among casual fans. Casual fans are the ones to deliver PPV buys 400k and above. Put Jake Paul, Tank Davis, KSI, and Ryan Garcia against Barbie and they will sell more than this real fight of Beterbiv and Bivol. This is nothing new though. Top fighters like Crawford, Spence, legends Barrera, Morales, and even Pacman before beating De La Hoya can deliver only 100k to 400k PPV buys when they are not facing popular fighters.

Anyway, what matters here is making great memorable fights and accomplishing rare feats to make their names live forever.

I think that's part of boxing right now, either

a. We see great fights, regardless of what will be the PPV numbers. As long as whoever back it up, Saudi or the promoters themselves, we will see the best fights.

b. All for the money, fights like that include Ryan Garcia or Canelo.

So in this case we have option a, HE Turki Alalshikh is willing to shell out money just to see the best LHW in our era fighting for unification belt.

I thought that there was now a Mandatory fight between Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez that was set up by the WBCs led by President Mauricio Sulaimán Here is the video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW53n4IOxNE&t=691s

I have seen Mauricio Sulaiman make a statement that he wants a Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez fight, this means that Benavidez might go and take this opportunity rather than going up and take Oleksandr Gvozdyk fight, then if he defeats Alvarez maybe that will be the time for him to go up the division to face Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

I have little knowledge about dopings but Beterbiev was given the go signal which means he passed the VADA test. And I believe VADA is the strictest when it comes to doping tests.

Maybe they saw something not normal in Beterbiev's body but still not illegal. What I heard from the past though is that the Russians have the best laboratories and technology when it comes to hiding doping substances. Same reason why Russia was blocked during the last Olympics.

Anyways, hopefully, both fighters are clean and the fight must go on. It's just a shame Beterbiev only has the chance for the undisputed at this stage of his career. He won against Usyk in the amateurs and gave him hell during their 3 encounters which saw the Ukrainian legend struggle, knocked down, and hurt even with helmets on.

This is just a big question mark for Beterbiev at this point, again, I'm no expert, but maybe those found in him are not PED, but most likely some testosterone replacement. Anyhow, it VADA clears him, then it's good. But in this fight there could also be drug testing, so we will see if they will find the same result or he is clean with no atypical findings.

The odds is still the same for now, Bivol is the slight favorite, only ML is available yet, but for sure we will more options specially the KO odds for Beterbiev.

Yeah, I read about the findings, but still if the experts of this can't even identify what substance he used (if he ever had one), then it shouldn't be a problem for now. Unless Beterbiev and his team has some sort of masking agent that the VADA itself hasn't found out.

Maybe it was just a consumption of something that he didn't know he take. But it's just a question whether we believed it or not.

But for now, it's inconclusive as per VADA, so this fight should be a go.

That's good news that it wasn't a hindrance for the fight to continue. However, I find it malicious, as it could discredit Beterbiev a bit if he wins. The opposing camp might use it to create controversy, suggesting that Beterbiev won because he was using an illegal enhancing drug. Since not everyone is aware of this, some might not think that Beterbiev is winning in a clean fight.

Anyway, let's wait for the outcome of the fight. At least, we know what could possibly happen. I'm still rooting for Beterbiev despite this news.
