I cannot wait for this fight to happen. So there's still 3 months to go. I wonder if someone is healing an injury which is why the schedule is a bit far from usual. Anyways, both can still relax and re-energize for few weeks before starting their training camps. Both are hungry to become the division's first undisputed champion.
I agree, maybe we eagerly wanted to see the Ryan Garcia vs Devin Haney fight because of all the hype and it looks like it's going to be personal for the boxers as they want to take each other head's off because of their hatred. But I think this could also be one of the most anticipated fight specially that it has the backing of the Saudi's as they know this fight doesn't happen very often, a unification fight for the LHW.
Personally, I am one of those that aren't much interested on Kingry's first title fight against Haney. No matter how much Ryan can talk and bring hype, it's a fact that he is far from the level of Haney. Although there is no rehydration clause, Haney could be the one benefitting it during fight night. I cannot imagine how Ryan beats Haney this time. It's a complete mismatch IMO.
The last time I heard about the odds, Bivol has overtaken Beterbiev but looking at @Baofeng's update another reversal happened. I am still rooting for Bivol and will make my bet soon. This is Bivol's biggest test of his career while Beterbiev can say this is not his biggest test, he is not young anymore that made the odds looked close.
And that shift as well indicates that this is going to be very close fight, fans are not sure who to beat on this one that's why it keeps moving and there are not clear favorite. Maybe this week it will be Bivol, but then after seeing Beterbiev's training clip in his social media, fans are going to bet on them, so there will be a sway on the odds on his favor. Nevertheless, we all know how time flies, so we just have to be patience as for sure June will come.
Yeah, this fight is close. Which is why I cannot afford to not watch this fight. Both are Russians and do not have huge fanbase in the western world but this is the real fight, champion versus champion facing each other for the undisputed ruler of the division.

I don't hear any news about either boxer getting injured. Perhaps this has been set long time ago, they will just have to win their respective fight and that's what happen here. Beterbiev crushing Callum Smith, and then Bivol lopsided win against Arthur.
Maybe Beterbiev wants a good long rest and a long training camp. I heard Usyk at his age also prefers long training camps because they want weeks of light training and conditioning before slowly transitioning into the hard part.

There could be a love of reversals here as this fight is very difficult for even experts to predict. And if you would listen to trainers and boxers alike making their prediction, it is still 50/50 as well and it shows in the odds as well. Most likely the favorite will be 1.8x, and it will be close that we have seen in any fights in the last 2 years.
We seldom see 50/50 fights, hardcore fight fans should be very happy that this one if finally happening. Credit to the winner but I can only hope Beterbiev had this opportunity during hsi younger years.
