This is still speculation until they sign up a deal if they failed to sign up a contract this year then these two are just fooling us and don't want to ruin their record and they are afraid of each other, what's keeping them, the heavyweight division champions are already fighting each other, Canelo is fighting the best every division has to offer, while these two are still not closing the deal.
This is the only division where both champions are just all talk.

I thought this has been locked for a couple of months now lol. I would want this fight to happen and bet on Spence just to see where my bet would take me. I do have reservations on Spence due to that injury but if he is in good shape, form, and overall condition, he can pull off a good fight and maybe drag the bout into its full 12 rounds. If these will happen in the future for sure these one is one of the biggest fight in the world of boxing cause this two professional, champion boxer will go to the ring and have a chance to prove that who is the strongest among their division cause Pacquiao is out. There's should be no stopping now and this fight should be official. There are no other boxers that Crawford and Spence have to fight next but only against each other. They should ignore other names as those are not close to being qualified. If finally negotiated, this fight might happen in September. The same month of the possible trilogy between GGG and Canelo.

More big fights are expected to happen this year!

Bob Arum is already old in this sports so maybe he is seeing something that we can't see. But he should pass his torch to the younger generation. If this will fetch high numbers in the market, Arum may easily change his mind. But definitely, I will look forward to watch this match if in case this will happen soon. I will go for Spence here.

As far as I know, Bob Arum is already out of the picture, Crawford didn't sign a contract extension, so he is freely can choose who to fight next after the Porter clash.

The two are now throwing barbs at each other on Twitter, maybe it's a preview on what's going to happen this year, a fight between this 2 fighter.

Of course Crawford is going to be favored due to more fights in his career, more knockouts and the fact that Spence had an accident which always brings some doubt about his current condition to the table. He can be in perfect form, but people will be less willing to bet on him knowing that he spent some time in a hospital.

That's what I would think. Gonna poke around some boxing forums to see if there is any arbitrary lines on the fight if it takes place. I would think Crawford would be a -150 or so favorite in this one. Nothing too crazy but enough to get people to think twice about laying down on it.

When two fighters with such impressive stats fight one another it's always a great event with a lot of money to be made for everyone. These two are sure to gather crowds, so I'll be sure to watch the event when it happens. For sure and it would be big money! I don't think it would affect them too much if any of them lose to someone or something. It's always going to be the risk of having fights right unless the fight is really humiliating that it wasn't what we expected to happen or something. I do hope that they would be able to work this out that they could benefit from each other and that we, the fans would be entertained. Lol.

Spence after the car crash becomes stronger. Many think that he will lose to Danny Garcia because it's just over a year since the car crash and he comes back to the ring as if nothing happened even he sustained serious injuries. He unanimously won that fight and if you check the judge's scorecard which is 116–112, 116-112, and 117–111, Garcia is not even close to winning.

Later on, after several months of inactivity in the ring, he dominated WBA Super Welterweight Champion Yordenis Ugas and claimed another title.

Is he really coming from a serious accident? I don't what magic he did but with his current status, I think Crawford will experience his first defeat here.

It's on the news but I think Terence Crawford won't bother with Keith Thurman. Crawford is hungry to face Spence and that should happen as soon as possible.

Spence is almost on the move of stepping up a division and he won't probably wait for another Crawford fight. The statement of Spence is clear that after Ugas, Crawford is the next. If Crawford will face Thurman, I doubt Spence will patiently wait for the result. Time is running that's why Spence will follow his desire and won't wait with anybody regardless if that's a champion or not.

If this scenario happened in the UFC. Dana White would say who was afraid to step up and fight to publicly acknowledge what the obstacle was. Some might be offended by this. In the end, the fight could happen once pressure was applied. Its a good scenario to contrast boxing's modus operandi versus MMAs. Perhaps boxing promoters have room for growth.

On the flip side both Spence and Crawford are undefeated, likely a big part of their marketing and hype trains, as well as their claim to fame. They both want to contend with Floyd for retirement with an undefeated status. It makes more sense from a business perspective to maintain that aura of never being defeated in the ring. Especially considering the years they spent in the sport, building themselves.

It took many "Floyd Mayweather is a chicken" memes and social media posts for Floyd to fight Manny Pacquiao. But it did end up being the highest grossing pay per view, combat sports event, of all time. Perhaps anticipation for Errol Spence vs Terence Crawford can build over time, the way Pacquiao vs Mayweather did.

Boxing has so many lost opportunities between two great fighters that should have fought in their primes, like the Jones Tyson where they met past their primes, I could not see any one of them fighting other fighters in the welterweight division, if they don't want to fight in the welterweight then it's better for one of them leave the division and let the other lord it over there, the boxing community will not accept two great fighters in the same category avoiding each other.
