A complete domination by Bivol, this is why I usually say an undefeated boxer with many fights are none if he fight with a champion who've risk his record to obtain belt. Sadly Bivol can't knock out Ramirez, it's either Bivol's power is decrease or Ramirez has a good body.

After this result, it's high likely next fight we will see Bivol fight with Canelo first and then Bivol might taking challenge to fight with Beterbiev.

I saw on many of Zurdo's fights how he is very dominant and throws punches in batches but it did not happen here surprisingly, Bivol's counter and punches are so fast that there were times that I thought he can knock out Zurdo, in the round 9 and 12 I thought the game will be over Bivol is a candidate for the best boxer this year, he deserves coming out from beating two of the best Mexican boxers.

Right, as we expected, Bivol dominated the fight against Zurdo, it's a pro Bivol arena though. So Bivol gave them what they want, although there is no knockout, but I think it's even worst lost for Ramirez as he was really outclassed, whether they fight in the middle or in the corner wherein he can go and put up punch output, but he didn't. He let Bivol go in circles and then he will be hit with volume punching. Yes, most likely Bivol could be the best boxer this year because he has beaten Canelo and then Ramirez in fashion. Ramirez though might still stay in this division.

On my unofficial scorecard, it seems to be that Bivol has domination this fight very clearly.

It's like another Canelo performance for him, jab, 1-2 and then combinations and footwork. And when Ramirez tries to make a comeback, Bivol will just sidestep and uses his movement.

Edit: Bivol won by UD 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111.

Impressive performance by Bivol and yes he deserves at least a nomination for Boxer of the Year award. He was just too disciplined and never deviate from their game plan which makes him very hard to defeat even if it is a rematch with Canelo Alvarez next year.

I was wrong with my expectation that Ramirez can crack the defense of Bivol but nevertheless, it was what I expected because I want to see how Canelo would perform as he promised that he will win on the rematch.

Congrats to those who take the 1.55 odds for Bivol to win by decision, that's a huge figure if you are a high roller though.

What the heck, it's not even a good fight. Ramirez just turned into a punching bag to Bivol. The score is not even close.

Ramirez is a disappointment. It's ok to lose but he should at least shows competitiveness.\

Bivol once again plays the game smoothly but surely like what he did against Canelo where the priority is to get many points as possible.

I can describe Ramirez in two words, hesitant and frustrated, his punch cannot get in and Bivol has good counters when he wants to get in, not really the kind of fight we expect from Ramirez, this is what happens when you are fighting low level and your records only show low-level fighters and you suddenly face a fighter who just beat the greatest Mexican fighter even in their face off I did not see the fire in Zurdo's eyes, I wonder after this where his career will be heading.

Spot on, yes Ramirez hasn't taste defeat, but who did he fought in the last 4 fights? it's all wash up fighters. And sorry for Oscar Dela Hoya, he promoted Ramirez and wanted him to win for sure and maybe push for a fight for Canelo next.

However, Bivol is really at his prime at 32 years old and it's hard to see who is going to defeat him, maybe except Beterviev, but the fight might be very hard to make as both are in the opposite network.

Or perhaps Bivol is really too good for Ramirez, and even if Ramirez has the height and reach advantage, he don't know how to executed it and Bivol bring his A-game again just like in the Canelo fight and didn't disappoint his fans.

I think for this win, he could be a great candidate for boxer of the year, dominant win against the best boxer we have this century and then putting a exclamation point on his defense of his belt against Ramirez.

That Bivol winning via TKO is also attractive. Hard to decide but I think that might be the best bet based on my own preference.

From @4.90 yesterday, the odds of Dmitry Bivol winning by TKO now jumps to @6.2. Don't know the reason for the big leap and it seems that bookies think that the possibility of that happening becomes slimmer.

Regardless, I placed my bet on that as planned from the beginning.

The fight is now approaching. The countdown is around 5 minutes as of this post.

in my opinion Dmitry Bivol will win this fight without sweating too much, when I say without sweating too much I mean he won't be extremely exhausted after the fight, it's a fight I'll bet on when I see it on stake.com I'm confident that Dmitry Bivol wins this fight, and about Canelo Alvarez,  Grin I think he will skip this rematch next year, I doubt they will fight, I could be wrong

Many of us believe that Bivol has an advantage on this fight due to the fact that he has beaten Canelo but if we think of the Bivol - Canelo fight, Canelo isn't a natural of the weight division so basically Canelo has a disadvantage over Bivol.  This fight with Ramirez, although Ramirez's previous opponents are not as "good" as Bivol's, his record is quite astonishing.  So we can say that Ramirez isn't a pushover boxer and may have a really good chance if Bivol got careless.

So I think we have to see the fight conclude, we won't know who will be the winner until the fight end.  I believe the win can go either way, on whoever wanted it more and besides those who got luck has an advantage between equal caliber fighters.

No doubt that Bivol have more chance on winning the fight compared to the challenger, Ramirez, because the current champion has more edge when it comes to ring IQ and fighting a bigger man on the same weight is not that new to Bivol.

There are champions who nitpicked their opponent so the belief of a champion has more Iq than the challenger is a fallacy.  We never know until we see the fight conclude.  I am not pro-Ramirez in fact I am also thinking that Bivol has an advantage due to the experience of battling against tougher opponents.

So here's the weight in and the final faceoff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiGnIWcCC8Q

It's just a normal faceoff and no one make a drama or trash talking, however based on the gesture and how Ramirez clasped his hands in front is seems like he's scared to face Bivol. Ramirez doesn't looks confidence IMO, so I think it will be an easy fight for Bivol. His eye is full of fire who want to destroy Ramirez.

Yeah, Bivol is full of confidence and this could be a not-so-hard fight for him if he plays it safe and just boxes Ramirez for the unanimous win but like i said, Ramirez is the experienced fighter between the two that he might have some surprises for Bivol when they meet in the ring in the next few hours that is why i'm betting for him to win by decision but not expect too much from this bet as Bivol is too disciplined to follow their game plan.

If that will be the fighting plan of Bivol the chance of winning is still high though it might chance once he seen how Ramirez fought because chances that Ramirez may give him a fight that he didn't expect, remember that this fighter also have clean records and experienced wise Ramirez is also someone who can upset a champion.

It's more about how you anticipate the fight and how you entrust your bet with your chosen fighter. Good luck!

No doubt that Bivol have more chance on winning the fight compared to the challenger, Ramirez, because the current champion has more edge when it comes to ring IQ and fighting a bigger man on the same weight is not that new to Bivol. Let's just say that he already got what it takes to defeat a much more natural boxer in this division than him but Ramirez though, he is not an easy boxer to upset.

But this is a good test for Bivol before he faces Artur Beterbiev who have more impressive records and a 100% KO rate. (Given that Artur here defeats Yarde in his own title defense match)

Still though, if he wanted to cement his legacy in this division, he has to beat Zurdo Ramirez. And then chase for unification against another Russian in Beterviev. He has not to worry for Canelo. If Alvarez wants to go up at 175 lbs then it's better for him to have tune up and maybe fight the winner of Bivol vs Beterviev in the future.

Maybe we won't see another fight against Canelo because Bivol don't need to prove anything anymore because he won their last fight cleanly. He just need to move forward and fight someone like Beterviev to further stretch his rank in their division and might get a chance to be a unified champion in their weight division.
True, and if I'm not mistaken, several months ago it was reported that Bivol hasn't received his prize money against Canelo because of the ban of Russian boxers that time, so not sure if he has gotten it already at this time.

Nevertheless, as i have said, he might go with Beterviev next if he will win against Ramirez. Not sure how Canelo will be insisted on another rematch but it's really up to Bivol whether to give him the fight or not.

Yes, if ever Bivol wins his upcoming fight, most probably he will be the one that will choose whoever he wanted to fight. Even Canelo insists for the rematch, Bivol has his rights to decline any offer. For now, Bivol needs to focus with Zurdo and make sure that he will take good care of his fight. It's good to know if ever Bivol will push for Beterbiev that's another good title match that fans will surely excited to see.

Can Bivol really do that and decline Canelo if the latter will decide to activate their rematch after this fight? Given that Bivol have already won the fight against this Zurdo Ramirez. I don't know that it's possible because they had a rematch clause written in their contract and Bivol will be vacated for a bit because Beterbiev and Yarde's fight was delayed.

Probably not, if the rematch clause is very tight (I assuming that Canelo's team have that in the contract), so Bivol might have to go and fight Canelo next if he wins this one. But if Canelo doesn't want to go for a rematch, then Bivol has options as well for Beterviev.

Not yet decided who to bet, but I'm going for Bivol to win by decision in a hard 12 round fight. It will not be as dominant win for him because Ramirez is also a natural lightweight or even bigger and heavier than him. Unlike in Canelo fight wherein Bivol has the physical advantage.

Bivol can still explore with the options with Artur Betierbiev or Anthony Yarde, whoever will win the fight. But he have to wait longer because Beterbiev is still injured and their fight was delayed as well because of that. So in the meantime, Bivol have the time to fight with Canelo if the latter choose to activate the rematch written in their contract and it's very likely that Canelo will activate it because even if he's not on the A-side anymore, the money he could get is still big and Canelo has nothing to lose in this division.

Back to the topic, the fight is just a few hours away, right now I think they are just getting past from the undercards. Hope you folks already got your bets on this fight, can't wait to see the fight!

That decision win by Zurdo is really very attractive, hehehehe and it's huge.

But I think Bivol will be too wise and intelligent in this fight, and despite all the attributes of Ramirez, he can offset it with his movement. So maybe Zurdo will win some early rounds, but then when Bivol has fully adjusted, his game plan will be dart in and out and make Zurdo tired in the late rounds and then Bivol piling points in the championship round for a decision win.

the odds for zurdo is attractive, but what is the chance that it will happen? i am rooting for bivol this is why i think the outcome will be either by KO or by decision. though zurdo has good boxing record, i don't think he will beat bivol in this match. but in any case, this will be worthwhile to watch in my opinion. not the same anticipation as bivol vs canelo, but zurdo has a lot of things to gain if upset will happen on this one.

That Bivol winning via TKO is also attractive. Hard to decide but I think that might be the best bet based on my own preference.

Although my only concern on that bet is, Bivol is not that aggressive and his main forte' is to get as many as points every round.

But who knows that at some point, Bivol can crash Ramirez's defense which might lead to a KO punch that will seal the deal.
