Not yet decided who to bet, but I'm going for Bivol to win by decision in a hard 12 round fight. It will not be as dominant win for him because Ramirez is also a natural lightweight or even bigger and heavier than him. Unlike in Canelo fight wherein Bivol has the physical advantage.

Agree, Bivol doesn't have the physic advantage as he has on the Canelo fight, and also Ramirez got more fights than Bivol so this makes him the more experienced fighter of the two.

Not fully decided yet but i'm more inclined on betting for Zurdo as the odds for backing him is very tempting and attractive as well.

Still though, if he wanted to cement his legacy in this division, he has to beat Zurdo Ramirez. And then chase for unification against another Russian in Beterviev. He has not to worry for Canelo. If Alvarez wants to go up at 175 lbs then it's better for him to have tune up and maybe fight the winner of Bivol vs Beterviev in the future.

Maybe we won't see another fight against Canelo because Bivol don't need to prove anything anymore because he won their last fight cleanly. He just need to move forward and fight someone like Beterviev to further stretch his rank in their division and might get a chance to be a unified champion in their weight division.
True, and if I'm not mistaken, several months ago it was reported that Bivol hasn't received his prize money against Canelo because of the ban of Russian boxers that time, so not sure if he has gotten it already at this time.

Nevertheless, as i have said, he might go with Beterviev next if he will win against Ramirez. Not sure how Canelo will be insisted on another rematch but it's really up to Bivol whether to give him the fight or not.

Yes, if ever Bivol wins his upcoming fight, most probably he will be the one that will choose whoever he wanted to fight. Even Canelo insists for the rematch, Bivol has his rights to decline any offer. For now, Bivol needs to focus with Zurdo and make sure that he will take good care of his fight. It's good to know if ever Bivol will push for Beterbiev that's another good title match that fans will surely excited to see.

Can Bivol really do that and decline Canelo if the latter will decide to activate their rematch after this fight? Given that Bivol have already won the fight against this Zurdo Ramirez. I don't know that it's possible because they had a rematch clause written in their contract and Bivol will be vacated for a bit because Beterbiev and Yarde's fight was delayed.

Probably not, if the rematch clause is very tight (I assuming that Canelo's team have that in the contract), so Bivol might have to go and fight Canelo next if he wins this one. But if Canelo doesn't want to go for a rematch, then Bivol has options as well for Beterviev.

I guess not. Bivol might have to a fight with Canelo if the latter will choose to, given that Bivol will now be in the A-side and his demands should be fulfilled because Canelo is now chasing Bivol and not the other way around. Also, yes, Bivol have no schedules for the time being after this fight (given that he won the fight vs Ramirez) because he have to wait and see who will be the winner of the Beterbiev-Yarde fight.

Bivol only wants to add more titles to his possession that's why a rematch with Canelo might not happen soon unless mandatory or only he will accept Canelo's challenge if he will take the biggest slice of the pie regardless of his status and fame of Canelo.

I agree that if he ever Bivol will win here, he will wait for the winner of Beterbiev-Yarde as that was his goal, to unify all the belts on the Light Heavyweight Divison. I hope Beterbiev will be 100% healthy in his fight as I want to see him taking Bivol soon.

But all of that will change if Ramirez will win her instead. This fight is now closely approaching so let's get it on!

Finally, it's fight week already. We've seen Bivol in Abu Dhabi doing light training and chilling and enjoying before the weigh-in and then the fight night. I think Zurdo is already in Abu Dhabi as well because it's been a few days already and he might need to acclimatize himself for better conditioning. And I am happy to finally see both Eddie Hearn of Matchroom and Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions smiling at each other. Probably there is no more bad blood between these 2 DAZN partners. May the best man win.

For sure Zurdo is already in Dubai because it's just three days away from fight night and he needs to acclimatize himself.

So, someone's zero has got to go this weekend, and based on the odds of my favorite bookies, backers of Zurdo got attractive numbers.

TBH, i'm starting to think to bet on Ramirez because of those tempting odds for him to win either by KO or decision and for me he is also a very live underdog as he is an experienced fighter with a decent KO rate, and if he can crack Bivol's defense with those hard shots then we might be having an upset this weekend.

That is the most interesting part right there because even if we all know that Bivol might have some edges over Ramirez, we are somehow still in doubt thinking at the back of our heads that Zurdo's chance of cracking Bivol is also decent because he is not a novice in this industry and his figures in his record including his KO rates are quite impressive. I'd say, why not? We don't really know who will be holding a belt at the end of the day and knowing that kind of makes me excited to see their fight.

And it's good to hear that Bivol is making his own path and not totally relying on Canelo's rematch or what not. And remember that we is Bivol who won that fight and even if he is still the B-side if ever there will be a rematch, he can demand now or even not giving Canelo is rematch.

Still though, if he wanted to cement his legacy in this division, he has to beat Zurdo Ramirez. And then chase for unification against another Russian in Beterviev. He has not to worry for Canelo. Exactly, there's no reason for Bivol to delay in making his own paths and legacy just wait for Canelo's rematch because for him, Canelo is already a past chapter in his life as he already defeated the pound-for-pound king. But hey, it's still not decided yet because there's a high chance that Canelo will activate that rematch if Bivol will win here, although Canelo's chance will remain slim, but he has nothing to lose in this division. Just a plain money fight with belt on the line, Bivol on the other hand won't have any choice but to accept.

^^ @1.55 for Bivol to win by decision, I think that is juicy enough for those backers of him, but they have to pour some money on him so get a good returns.

the odds if Bivol wins are dropping a lot, it looks like Ramirez won't have any chance of winning the fight, what the hell is the difference in odds?

Bivol = @1.24

Ramirez = @3.90

betting on Bivol with odds of @1.24 is a waste of money, because that odd is very low, maybe I'll put it in a parlay with some soccer game or another sport, I'll still think about it, but I still think they put such a low odd in favor do Bivol and then Bivol loses this fight people who bet on Bivol will be angry with the result if he loses the fight

Professional boxing odds are kind of weird compared to other sports like soccer and basketball. This fight is 60/40 in favor of Bivol but the odds aren't reflecting it. Probably because in professional boxing, all fights are recorded and introduced continuously without resetting which means a single defeat will remain like a stain forever while the other sports' win-loss records will reset at every start of another season.

I am contemplating betting for that Bivol by decision odds. But looking at their skills, Zurdo might let his hands go and try to KO Bivol as it seems unlikely that he can outbox the champion. This might also create openings for Bivol to land his power shots and score his own KO in the late rounds.

Yes, it's really hard to see what kind of fight this will be, on the other hand, we think that Bivol is really the favorite because of the tools he had, but Ramirez is tall and lengthy that might give Bivol problems.

And so if the fight goes to distance, I not seeing Bivol to score a knockout, on the contrary Ramirez might make the fight very close in the judges score card and could take the late rounds.

Fighters always comes up with a winning plan, execution will be the key to win the fight.

but when bookmakers place very low odds in favor of a certain fighter then it is because the oddsmakers have already analyzed a lot of data and concluded that fighter X is more likely to win the fight and the oddsmakers hardly make mistakes, at least in most cases. sometimes they don't make mistakes, the problem is that betting on low odds is not profitable in the long run, but apparently Bivol will win the fight and I intend to bet on him in a parlay

Valid point, bookies do their research and the automated system understand the algo of potential outcome, though sometimes upset happened and then again it's all on the side of how gambler and fan will take the odd to satisfy their intention when betting. Picking side rely on how you understand your fighter, take side and gamble with your knowledge.

Yes, Bivol is wise enough to see that opportunity, as we all witness that when he fought Canelo, each time Alvarez did try to box him, he always has a good counter to score.

But if Bivol will try to go for a knockout, then maybe it could be in the later rounds of the fight, so yeah, maybe in the championship rounds around 10-15.

For those fans of Ramirez though, every way you look at it, he is the underdog so the odds are very attractive, decision by 8.00, maybe might be good to try some minimum bet on that one and see how it goes.

ML is impressive enough though but if you are into risky gambling that odd is sweet if Zurdo will perform and if things favors him, though we don't know what will be the outcome, upset or continue dominance might take place. It will be depend from how gambler take their sides and see how they will be compensated when picking the bets.

For now, it's more on the money side and how you execute your own knowledge between these two gentlemen.

The other betting option is already open, not surprising most people will think Bivol will win via decision. But it's more profitable to bet Bivol by decision than bet on the moneyline. However the odds if you pick Bivol & 10-12 round, the odds is very juicy for 12.00x, I think the fight will goes to distance. 4 days left before the fight will happen, so we still have few more days before to bet.

After odds are announced, where are all those who have said that Ramirez is going to win, because they have done simple math and compared both fighters records ? Cheesy Saying that 44-0 is better than 20-0. Just want to ask if they still follow their words and would bet on Ramirez. Ramirez by decision 8, or by KO 21 are so juicy they should not miss. I'd suggest them to bet on Ramirez by KO, as his 30 knockouts are way cooler than only 11 Dmitry's  Grin

Odds for this match:

Bivol, Dmitriy @ 1.21
Ramirez Sanchez, Gilberto @ 4.30

https://stake.com/sports/boxing/international/international-matchups/42951047-bivol-dmitriy-ramirez-sanchez-gilberto

Bivol is still the heavy favorite and what a huge gap difference against Zurdo Ramirez.

Betting options are still limited to Moneyline with less than 2 weeks left before the match.

Not bad for some bettors who would like to risk some few bucks to bet on Ramirez because his odds are really juicy but I guess it's not that easy considering that he is up against Dmitry Bivol who defeated Canelo Alvarez. As for me, I'll wait for the other options regarding this fight and I think I might splurge a little on Ramirez's odds. Few more days to go before we will witness this fight.

In my opinion, Gilberto Ramirez has a great chance of winning this fight.

Ramirez has a huge boxing experience.  He hasn't lost a single fight.  He has a very strong motivation to win the title from the Russian boxer.

Mexican boxers are known for their will to win (at one time I was very impressed by Jack London's story "The Mexican").

Ramirez is not an amateur, he is a professional and has always been a professional.

Now he has a great desire to win.  I think that now he is training hard and is completely focused on preparing for the upcoming boxing match.

Both of them has an experience, it's just that Ramirez got more bouts than Bivol but in terms of professionality, Bivol is not that really behind Ramirez and certainly view them as even because they're both hungry to have their own legacy and be the undisputed champion in the light-heavyweight division if one can defeat Beterbiev or Yarde. Another thing, I don't recall that someone here labeled Ramirez as an amateur in this thread, but one thing is for sure, this will be an epic fight.
I can not deny that it is a great opinion bro, I also think so, for me Bivol is a boxer who is not looking for something minimal, for me he is looking for the big, obviously everything is related to money, between better and The more advanced the boxer is and the more famous he is, the more fame he will be able to grab, and I think this is clear to him, therefore, for me, that is the reason why he does not accept a rematch against Canelo at the moment, perhaps he does not. He looks so interesting, in fact he is going for more titles, but he wants to get more triumphs that guarantee him the best fights and he wants to be the most famous, that translates into more money.

Canelo does not give up and is looking forward to this result:

Canelo Alvarez waiting on Bivol vs. Ramirez outcome on Nov.5th before he decides next fight

Quote
By Sean Jones: Canelo Alvarez is waiting on the outcome of the November 5th fight between WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol and Gilbero’ Zurdo’ Ramirez before he decides who he’ll fight next May.

Canelo (58-2-2, 39 KOs) lost to Bivol last May in Las Vegas, but after the Mexican star initially said he wanted an immediate rematch to try and get revenge for the loss, he later changed his mind, deciding to fight Gennadiy Golovkin.
