As far as I understand, if the disease proceeds easily, then the maximum period of complete recovery is a couple of weeks. He would be 100% healthy by the date of the fight. And now, if the battle is moved so far, he will have time to get infected a second time (I hope this will not happen).
I think it's just a big excuse if you are watching the NBA playoffs, Chris Paul was infected with covid-19 that's why he missed some games in the WCF but he was still able to come back in the series and played really well. It doesn't need a month to come back if they really want.
news reference;
https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/suns-chris-paul-tests-positive-for-covid-19/Thanks for the good example, I don't watch the NBA, but I've seen similar examples from other areas, so I was surprised by this news.
Even if it takes say 10 days of self-isolation to be clear of COVID-19 the fighter, promoters and trainers will still need time to prepare for the fight. I also thought postponing the fight to October was somewhat unnecessary.
Yes, but considering how badly the industry has already been affected by the virus, I think all these people could strain themselves and somehow meet the required deadlines. If this is just a positive test, and not a serious illness, then all the issues can be settled without such a huge shift.
It is a combat sport and the virus affects the lungs as mentioned above, you might have seen people that are taking care of their job after getting infected but that cannot be the same with combat athletes as it will take months to get back to normal.
As I understand from the news, there is no information about the actual disease. And do you remember the news about how Elon Musk did 4 tests in one day and two were positive and two were negative? Perhaps there is something similar (I hope), so we will wait for news and hope that the battle will not be postponed.
