Another good fight, but it's really risky for Lopez to take this challenge, he's like beat the best boxer in light welterweight. However he reminds me when he take a challenge to fight with Lomachenko, where at that time Lomachenko is the best boxer in lightweight. The difference is Lopez was beat every boxers easily before fight with Lomachenko, this time he was struggling when he fought Sandor Martin, so I don't really expect Lopez will win this fight.

I agree with you mate, if we were to gauge Lopez on his last fight with Martin then this coming fight with Taylor would be a disaster for him, i mean he struggled against a not so popular Martin and i even scored the fight in favor of Martin (just my opinion) and with Taylor who is a unified champion and bigger than him, sure this will be a tough hill to climb for him. The only chink in the armor on the side of Tylor is his inactivity in the ring for more than a year now but i think hard training can offset that disadvantage.

Remember Jack Catterall was give a good fight with Taylor, but the judges tend to favor on Taylor. I think Lopez must KO Taylor if he want to win, if it goes to distance Taylor should be the winner.

I am surprised Bob Arum did this fight as well. I am not sure who is the bigger draw since both are popular although I think Lopez is slightly the bigger draw especially if we are talking about the US market. This is a big risk to Lopez but this might be the only way for him to beat Taylor who's been inactive and at the same time showed a poor performance against Catterall on his last outing. Catterall did well and might deserve that win but the best of Taylor was supposed to just steamroll him that night.

The fight will be in the US so if the rounds are close, the judges might favor Lopez. Devin Haney should he win over Loma might be next if Lopez wins. Taylor might seriously move up in weight after this win or lose.

Yes, I believed that Lopez is the bigger draw between the two specially if the fight is in the US. Maybe if this push through in UK, Josh Taylor will be the A-side. I think it's a good move by Bob Arum to bring Josh Taylor to US soil to exposed him because not everyone knows that he unify the belt in 140 lbs although he beat Ramirez in Las Vegas. But in his next fight which is against Jack Catterall it was in Glasglow.

So if Taylor wanted to established his name, he should be fighting in the US more often starting in this fight against Lopez.

I think it's not like that, Josh Taylor would've get the fight in UK if that's the deal in this bout but since this fight is going to happen in US soil, they might've got a good deal where they got Taylor's confirmation. As usual, Josh Taylor will be on the A-side because he is the WBO champion and will be a slight favorite among the bookies list. But comparing between the two of them, this will be a hard fight for Teo Lopez because Taylor is not an easy one. Even that 1 year inactivity probably won't have any setbacks on his side.

And most likely that's what the main reason for him to stage this fight in the US. Yeah, he can demand a UK fight, but US soil, there is more money in there, and probably his fans will likely travel to the US too to see him fight. So it's a win win for him, instead of a rematch with Jack which might not be enough money as it will be in the UK. But I agree that this is a hard fight for either boxers, Taylor is the man to beat in this division as he is the former unified champion as he just gave up the other belt because it's hard to defend them to their mandatories. And one mistake is that he chooses Jack as his mandatory and it almost cause him his belt.

The fight is a challenge for both fighters, I have seen Lopez's best performance and so is Josh Taylor, Lopez's last fight was not good because Sandor did not come to fight if Taylor comes to fight then we will have a good fight here, both fighters will be tested here, many think that Taylor has a slight edge over Teofimo but a focus Teofimo can rule out that edge and there's a possibility that he can beat Taylor just like he did to Loma.

I've watched some of Lopez' previous matches and I could say that he had a hard time beating some of his opponents. I think that's something that he should work on since they almost have the same record as Taylor. Though it is obvious that Lopez has huge potential though he's still in the process of establishing a good record. I hope he'll grab this chance to prove that his previous winning matches were not just won by luck.

Lopez has a record of 18 wins and 1 loss. A boxer can't just smash the 18 pro boxers by luck. He even beat Loma, that's quite a plus for Lopez, you can't be a nobody with a such win.

Taylor's last fight with Cattral was also controversial, people look at it as robbery. It would have been best to put an end to the doubts. Catteral would be a good fight and not the WBO's will for him to fight Lopez.

No doubt that he beat Loma, no question about it, but then again, Loma is not 100%, so maybe the outcome would be close or very different. Same with Lopez, he was in his prime, although one issues is that he has also a hard time hitting 140 lbs. And so was a narrowing decision win against Catterall. And they are supposed to fight for a rematch, but not going to happen.

So this fight could be another break for Lopez, or Josh Taylor winning but might be moving to the higher weight division because he might not make the 140 lbs if he insists to stay here. I haven't seen the odds but it might be close.

I know this is coming after the bout against Kambosos, his father predicted it, because he knows the boxing community wants to see Lopez against top fighters in whatever division he is in because of what he is bringing into the ring.
Josh Taylor is good but Lopez is hungry for recognition, he lost the reputation he once had when he lost to Kambosos and this is just the perfect opportunity to get it back.
He needs a good trainer not a motivational trainer like his father, Taylor will not be an easy fight for Lopez, but so is Lopez for Taylor.

I still believe that Teofimo has huge potential he is young but reckless, and he needs a good coach and trainer and part ways with his father, his ego is too big he is like Romero who thinks he is the next big thing in boxing, he is fast and strong but lacks the control and technical skill, he hasn't mature yet and he is fighting a guy who can exploit those weaknesses.
This is a very even match for me but if Romero can correct those errors he can upset Josh Taylor, Romero should minimize those thrash talks, his thrash talks come with him in the ring so sometimes he is out of focus.

Great move by Top Rank to give Lopez a chance to get a belt at 140 lbs, hehehe. It was supposedly a rematch between Taylor and Catterall, but Josh got injured or something and so they postponed it. However, this news surfaces a few weeks after that and Catterall was sidestep by the announcement. But he can't do anything as this is official now. Yeah, lots of issues with Josh now, his fight with Catterall was controversial, having problems making the weight limit and his injuries. And with that, Lopez will definitely be a live dog against the champion here. He doesn't look good or sharp at 140 lbs in my opinion, but this is a opportunity that he won't passed and so I'm giving him a chance to pull an upset.

I was going through the individual stats and found Josh Taylor is still unbeaten. If I look back and check the fights of Teofimo I would say he is no where close to Taylor. I am not sure what made Teofimo challenge Taylor for a fight when he knows he cannot defeat him. It is still in the early stages as Taylor has not yet confirmed that he will fight. Ultimately he will accept the challenge and will also be able to defend his title.

Both are looking weak.
Lopez has weird records somehow he managed to beat Loma yet was also close to losing against Sandor. He still manages to capitalize on Loma's loss giving more fights with weird results. I wouldn't say he could win but with his luck, he might actually just kick Taylor for cherry-picking, and if that is the case it's Lopez fighting Cattrall.

Professional win-loss-KO/TKO records
Josh Taylor: 19-0-13 KOs
Anthony Yarde:   18-1-13 KOs
Good odds are going to happen for the boxing event between Taylor and Teofimo, I have seen the live stream of their fight next June 10th, both have a good shot at the WBO junior welterweight title, I'm sure Josh is well prepared to fight Lopez in the ring.

I saw Taylor's last fight in 2022, he managed to defend the super lightweight champion and beat a boxer from England, I keep statistical records about Taylor and also I am one of his fans. i like him boxing in the ring, beating his opponent.

For the boxing fight between Taylor vs. Teofimo, I'm picking A for boxing's last point.

This match is very important for Lopez. Some of his defeats have sparked reactions. Lopez has not been in top form, with his loss to  George Kambosos Jr. indicating a mixed performance against Sandor Martin. After all June 10 we will see them which will really inspire the audience.

Defeats? He has lost only once. I will be supporting Taylor in this fight. I dont like Lopez and what he has become after his fight against Lomachenko. He has defeated a very strong opponent and that made him lost his mind. His father made him believe that he is not the greatest and unbeatable, that he will now decide who is going to be defeated next. Glad that Kambosos has brought him down from heaven to earth.  Taylow has a perfect record, he is more experienced, is higher and has reach advantage. Everything points on that Taylor is going to win imho.

It's obvious Josh Taylor is the one who is the real upper hand in this fight and it would really be a major test for Lopez to get through this guy because this is the fighter you can't show some lazy defense because he will gonna finish you in the early rounds. My prediction here is TKO because we already know how strong Josh Taylor is in this weight division and this fight here is his message for his next opponents in the upper division it means he will go to each one of them and they gonna need to watch out. Hope that he will win easily on this one and will gonna move there fast.

The past strategy of the player was same and the Knockout strategy also same.So my opinion is the game going to draw, most of the gamblers won’t like the game to became a draw.Because the draw game will make the both the fans to lose their bet. Most of the supporters was preferring the Knockout by the Taylor, because most of the fans prepare the Taylor to win the match with knockout.Instead of making the bet on the one player, you can bet certain on one player and remaining on another player.
