Again, we might have to hate Teo Lopez and his father, the antics and everything. So I think this fight is going to sell, but I doubt that it can be close to like 200k PPV in the US. But I guess those numbers might be good for this 2 boxers, specially that Teo Lopez is fighting a non-American. And maybe the fans of Taylor is going to watch it from UK.

I forgot the link on the article that popped up on my social media account but it said that this fight can be watch live and for free on Top Rank's facebook account and youtube channel so with that i don't think that this Josh Taylor's defense of his belt will sell huge number on PPV or is this will be sold on PPV with Top Rank broadcasting this for free?

It's not a big fight actually, unlike the Garcia vs. Davis bout, which generated significant pay-per-view numbers. However, I'm confident that they will still be profitable after this fight. The trash-talking aspect plays a significant role in selling the fight, so they just need to continue that and deliver an entertaining performance on fight night.

The more Lopez gain a lot of haters, the more this fight will generate good PPV numbers.

That's the KEY!
Josh Taylor will face Teofimo Lopez in the ring; let's hope the most important fighter wins and there are no glitches in the match. Teo Lopez and his father have both been criticized, and their fans have created hatred for them, so there is an additional 80% probability for the pay-per-view to increase, as they are always eager to see their demise, so they will turn out in huge numbers to see the outcome of the entire fight. Of course, everyone would prefer to see a less competitive battle, but by the looks of things,...

Well, let's wait for the outcome of the fight to determine the numbers. The ticket sales are their business, so regardless of how much they'll make from PPV and gate entrance, that's on them. My only concern as a fan is the satisfaction of this fight, which I believe I will have since both fighters aren't afraid to go toe to toe, especially Lopez, who has been very aggressive in most of his fights.

tickets are selling and a lot of people are eager in seeing how everything turns out live.
I hope so too because that would inspire promoters to provide us with more big fights like this.

Meanwhile, Teofimo's comment about killing Josh Taylor is foul but actually corny knowing he actually lost his last fight if not for the corrupt judges. I cannot wait for their face-offs. I guess they are expected to be in their own receptions by tomorrow and a press conference is expected to happen later before the weigh-in. Josh Taylor should try something to bully Teofimo and lessen his confidence a bit before fight night.

Yes, probably just to sell the fights because it seems there's no hype here. I mean it's understandable, after Garcia vs Davis and then Loma vs Haney, it's hard to follow on that footsteps unless they really give a fans a good show. And only they can sell the pre-fight if they are going to trash talk and that's what Lopez is good at.

Final press conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRUl_dPlll8

The security though, didn't allow for this two to have the face-off, maybe there will be some pushing, hehehe. We will still see them tomorrow for the final weigh-in so it's another must watch for fight fans.

The final weigh-in will be their last chance to actually sell the fight because in the past few weeks, their names just cannot keep up with the big names that has making a noise in the industry and even now that it's already their time, we now have the Spence vs Crawford fight which has been in the headlines for quite some time now. If only the face-off were approved, it could've been a good marketing but sadly, they did not allow it. So, tomorrow will be their very last chance.

Yes, but there is a mic up version and you can hear Josh Taylor saying that he is going to f**k up Teo Lopez. So it might have have the hype or the exposure, but definitely this is really something for us boxing fans.

Damn, Josh Taylor's last 6 opponents were all undefeated with a combined record of 133-0-101 KOs. This guy is not wasting all his years while his body is still in its prime. It's sad though that he became inactive due to injury. Taylor could have picked an easy tune-up fight just like what Catterall and Canelo did.

Yeah, he took the best boxers that this weight class can offer and took all their 0. Prograis, Carlor Ramirez, Ivan Baranchyk and even Viktor Postol (who lost to the previous unified champ in Bud Crawford).

Yes, that is the thing about Teofimo Lopez because the guy is trying to stay relevant even after what happened on his fight recently. But we cannot blame because that is his way and in-fact, Josh liked it because aside from talking gibberish, he is also marketing the fight.  Although he made himself a laughingstock as people surely know the real score, it's just too clear he is just way out of Josh's league. Not this time, not ever.

Anyhow, that will be a great ending for this fight, Teo getting knockout for the first time in his career and then keeps opening his mouth after the fight and not admit to that. Just like when he lost to Kambosos who his father thinks that they still win the fight despite their initial knockout and George schooling Teo.

This is also the scenario that i would like to happen to the arrogant father and son tandem. Getting knockout is not impossible for Josh Taylor to do as Lopez could walk into his knockout punch as we have seen Lopez walking through the counter of Kambosos that did damage to him.

The other scenario for this fight that i see is that Lopez will not be aggressive as he is and might change his strategy, to be a counter puncher as being aggressive will make the night short for him, so Taylor via decision might be a very good bet for me.

I'm with you on your bet. It's likely that Taylor will win, but Lopez will put up a good fight and survive. Taylor, being the champion, knows how to take care of himself in the fight. He won't let his emotions make him act foolishly. Instead, he will stick to the game plan and a knockout will come if Lopez becomes overly aggressive and careless simultaneously.

I'm just thinking though, yeah Lopez could be durable, but we have seen his getting knockdown surprisingly by George Kambosos. And we all know that Josh Taylor, might not be a knockout artist based on his records, perhaps it might be possible that he could dominate the fight and then just soften up Lopez full a full 11 rounds and then in the last round, as Lopez is tired and beaten, maybe Josh Taylor can slip out that perfect knockout punch.

Lopez needs this fight it's a confirmation fight for Lopez that what happened against Kambosos is a big flop on their side and they have corrected this with this fight.

If Lopez losses here it's going to be a big embarrassment, he is a candidate to be a big name in boxing and many consider him to be the next big name before the Kambosos fight, he has to prove something here a tall order but this is the fight will make or break him.

I just don't like that he retains his father by his side there are many clamors to let go of him and get a better trainer that can guide him inside and outside the ring.

That's just how they market their fight nowadays without trash-talking, the fight is boring unless you are already famous for not doing so and the fans know that you gonna rebut inside the ring like Manny Pacquiao does against Broner and Thurman. But these two should do something before the fight and to fuel the excitement like this will gonna make the fans even want to see them clashing in the ring against each other so they raise their PPV sales just before their fight. We already know that if Lopez doesn't have new skills to surprise Taylor, he doesn't have any chance to beat him except by a lucky shot.
Yeah Lopez looks bad after the he fought Lomachenko, he was knocked down when he fought Sandor Martin, it was a robbery because Lopez won the fight. Now he will fight Josh Taylor, the judges will be in Lopez's side because the odds show Taylor is favorite and he have 2 belts.

I think Taylor will dominating the fight, Lopez isn't have a really good technical skill.

I don't doubt that Taylor will win. Maybe Lopez is quite durable, but in terms of boxing skills, I don't think he is on par with the current champion. As much as I would love to see Taylor win by knockout, as I mentioned earlier, Lopez is really durable. So, I'll just enjoy watching the fight and hope that the real winner will be announced on the judges' scorecards.

But still the favorite is Josh Taylor and I'm not surprised by it. Yeah, it's true he is not a knockout artist, but he methodically destroys his opponent and dominate them in the fight.

While on the other hand, Teo Lopez, still continues to bad mouth Taylor but Josh is not backing down and have his own trash talking too. And that's why this fight is exciting and it's better to live on the hype.

We should also forget one thing, the language barrier as well. It's critical if both can speak English fluently so they can smuck the hell with each other if there will be a sitdown between the two.

But let's see Broner vs Maidana, Marcos doesn't speak English that much and then Broner continues to trash talk. And then it backfired on him big time as he was humiliated. So just imagine if Maidana can talk back. Nevertheless, it's good that fighters like him and Manny can fight it back with their fist and talent and heart inside the ring.

If you look at it, maybe both are prime Taylor if you look at them they have been tested, tough as well as López he is nicknamed a counterpuncher, my prediction This match is a bit dubious to bet on, but the name of gambling is that there are winners and losers, I hope those who place bets don't choose the wrong boxer you want to bet on.
Yes, it really is. Lopez is quite smart and does have his own technique when it comes to facing a much stronger opponent but sadly, he is just up against Josh Taylor who used to be the unified champion in this division and still undefeated up to now.
So, sorry for the Lopez fans for what will I say but I just don't think that Lopez stands a chance against Taylor. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but it's just that it is not possible this time that he will still be that lucky.

I guess, we here both have the same sides because I just don't remember seeing that somebody here is favoring Teo Lopez to win versus the former undisputed.

On the other hand, yes, Teo Lopez is somehow durable and managed to secure some wins in his record (although some are questionable) I'll give him that but in-terms of being dominant, ring IQ and in-fight adjustments because of experience, there is no doubt that Josh Taylor have those advantages.

We might see a slow start from both boxers as they are likely to feel each other first but when the 3rd round will begin, that is when the real fight will commence.

Maybe, some of them are boxing lovers, of course the meeting between Taylor and Lopez, is a great honor to watch and bet on, of course we all have our respective fans between the two of them.

Although some of us here have talked about the age for both boxers Taylor & Lopez, it seems that is not an obstacle to seeing Taylor back in the ring against Lopez, I'm also curious about Taylor, whether he can limit Lopez's activities in the ring to gain points, considering that Taylor has been resting in the world of boxing for so long, it's interesting to spend a little on our pocket.
