I understand how you feel, all of this is just speculation and we will only know if it's real once they sign a contract. This is another speculation but probably closer to the Spence vs Manny which was already cool off due to both parties not agreeing with the money. All is about money, no one would fight without getting the fight share as they expect, but Manny here is a superstar, he attracts a crowd so it's expected that he will get the bigger share.
well, it's been a while, we have been speculating a lot, hopefully, this will turn our a real one.
I also hope a fight deal will finally be sealed soon. Manny has been inactive for almost 2 years already. If this Pacquiao-Garcia talks will not produce an agreement, it will be another round of negotiation with another fighter. It will again take months before something is finalized.
Time is not on Manny's favor. If he really wants to make another fight, he should try to hurry up a little. He's not getting younger anymore. His team should just settle with Garcia. Make this fight happen. Garcia is a fair match with Pacquiao.
Since Manny is the A-side in this fight, he can dictate the terms of the fight, and for sure Garcia's camp will be in agreement even if Mikey will just get a small portion of the percentage. But yet, this small percentage could be his biggest payday, so again win-win situation for him and his team.

If I were Garcia, I'd accept this fight. He doesn't need to demand too high a paycheck for this. It is acceptable to be given the smaller slice of the purse. After all, that share is still high enough, as you've said, might be his largest ever. Not to mention that he is able to fight against a legend who is already slowing down with age. Although he is not in his best form himself, Manny is definitely a lot older than him and has been inactive for a while.
I'd be very happy if Manny is the underdog in this fight. My money goes out to him as well.
