He has an excuse in that fight, so probably if he still chooses to fight again, another excuse would not be accepted again if he gets defeated. He said his legs were tight during the fight that's why he can't move his usual way, we actually did not see the move that we saw during his fight against Thurman, so let's give him the benefit of the doubt, one more fight and if he lose, then it's over.
On the eve of the match between Manny Pacquaio and Errol Spence Jr, Pacquaio said the reason he returned to boxing was because he wanted to have a really clean fight without any drama, but in the end the match was canceled due to Spence injury.
But it seems that Pacquaio reasoning changed after ugas became Spence substitute opponent, because it was clear that pacquaio wanted to reclaim the belt that was revoked by the world boxing federation and give it to ugas for free at the time , i think in that match pacquaio was too eager to beat ugas with a knockout defeat and it drains he stamina . we all know the current pacquaio is not the pacquaio of three years ago who is able to move fast and aggressively, I think his legs are starting to weaken and slow down because of the age factor.

That's why I dare to say that almost 70% of gamblers who bet on the match lost their money, because many gamblers made pacquaio their favorite for various reasons and like me, many of my friends also lost their money hoping that pacquaio would win

To be honest, I don't understand why you guys bet on Pacquiao. The odds are not attractive.

If I'm not mistaken around @1.2, @1.3? Too low for putting up a risk.

Or maybe you choose the winning method or other betting options instead? What are the odds for these? No idea here.
No better options aside from taking all the risk and be responsible to that always. We havee to move on and respect both boxer because they of a good match and I’m sure both parties will receive a good amount of money especially Pacquiao even if he loss on this one. I’d place my bet for a knock out win, well this is gambling.

He has an excuse in that fight...............
-snip-

Nailed it, there's no doubt that he is still one of the best if not the best in the world of boxing. However, I'd like to list his excuses that I remembered every time he loses.  Grin

On the lose to;

Mayweather,.... he got a shoulder injury.
Marquez... he got careless
Ugas... his legs were tight.
Jeff Horn... he got robbed.

Too much trust which i cant really blame them off and even myself did really believe that Pacquiao would able to win basing off with experience and the statistics that Yugas had been defeated by those fighters that
Pacquiao had beaten in the past which we can really highly presume that he would able to win this via neither KO or Unanimous decision but well everything cant really be predicted precisely
and we had seen on how the fight did do end up. Lots had lost their bets.

What if in every defeat he will collect millions of money that he can use to help his people?
Good point, in each deal for fighting will allow him to collect money to enforce his charity works, still good for him to fight as long as his condition will be protected.

Quote
I think it's still worth then as even if he keeps losing, people would still remember him as the living legend and the only 8th division world champion.

He will be remembered and never be forgotten, the only living legend who brings pride to the country who truly respect by most people in the world.

Quote
We can't say that he will retire because in the end, it's still up to him to decide and since he is in control of his body, he knows when it's already time or not.

yeah right, it's him to tell if he can't fight any longer and if it's time for him to stop and enjoy his luxurious life away from this sport.
it looks like the match against Ugas will be pacman's last fight in the ring, because if he wants to keep his record of course retirement is the best way for him because if he continues his career in boxing at an old age, of course he will get a bad reputation in history world boxing in the future, because it can be said that if he continues to box, of course he will experience defeat because there are indeed many young boxers who are currently improving their performance.

You shouldn't be dramatizing, it was a good fight with a decent ending, without a knockout and total superiority of one boxer. This is clearly not the worst thing that could happen to Pacquiao, now he may well end his career on a high note and everyone will remember him as a great boxer who performed with dignity in every match.
We have seen worst of Pacquiao, getting knock out by Marquez, a decision lost to Bradley, (which is the worst for me), and then the Horn robbery. Yes, I know that it is hard to digest the Ugas lost as Manny is the favorite, but that is sports, so it's really an upset but we have to take it and accept.

Just sad that this will be his last fight, however, let's just remember him for the fights that he gave to us in the last 15-20 years.

As I said, this fight ended without a scandal, without a knockout and without anything to darken the impression of the fight, so this is a good moment for Pacquiao to end his career. As I see, most of Pacquiao's fans have come to terms with the fact that he is old and do not expect some kind of miracle and will treat the end of his career adequately.

Every person career comes to an end and Manny Pacquiao is no different. He has to end his career one day and this could be his last match. I don't think it will be a wise decision to prolong his career and collect more defeats. Its best time for him to announce retirement and stat a political career.

I think a lot of betting exchanges are getting quite a lot of profit after  Pacquiao lose in the match, because before the fight started, many people (including me) were betting for the win of Pacquiao Grin.
Even though Pacquiao lost that fight, but for me he is still a great boxer and knows no fear of his opponent, even though it is clear the opponent he is facing is younger and has more stamina than Pacquiao, with this defeat it looks like Pacquiao will soon end his career in boxing with record 62 wins (39 KOs), 8 losses and 2 draw.

Yeah.. you are right. If the opponent was Spence, then there would have been considerable number of bets in his favor. But no one really predicted Ugas to win the match, especially after rumors circulated that he was suffering from an injury in his left bicep. I made a decision not to make a bet, because I thought it was impossible for Ugas to win. And trust me, none of the people I know made a bet in favor of Ugas. Some of them stayed away from this match, while others made a bet in favor of Pacquiao and lost money.
That's why I dare to say that almost 70% of gamblers who bet on the match lost their money, because many gamblers made pacquaio their favorite for various reasons and like me, many of my friends also lost their money hoping that pacquaio would win Grin, To be honest, from the start I personally underestimated ugas, both from his biceps injury and from his experience which can be said to be far from being pacquaio at this time, but the fact is that age really determines a person prowess in boxing Grin

Pacquiao said that he experience leg cramps starting on round 2. Not one but both of his legs are cramping according to him, might be due to overtraining, or because he is really not that young anymore.

I've posted my bet on Manny to win by UD, but I think he lost because he doesn't have anymore. So it's a concern if he still wants another fight, might be better to retire before he become a damage goods.

No one expected Manny to lose against Ugas, so it was shocking. But at the same time, we should not judge his entire career based on the result from just one match. Ugas has already said that Manny is a legend and he would offer him a rematch. Let's hope that the rematch actually happens and Manny manages to win that one. Apart from that, I am of the opinion that Pacquiao deserve a farewell match, and that should be against an opponent like Spence. He is a legend and we can't allow him to be remembered for his loss against Ugas.
I agree. Pacman is already old and has a long list of accomplishments, therefore we can't expect him to take this competition seriously because he has already proven himself as a legend. I'm not sure why some people are upset, but if you look at the situation, it's all about the money now; Pacman will still make a lot of money even if he loses, and in boxing, there's nothing to show.

IMO, Pacman will still remain a legend even if he loses many times, he's also a businessman right now and he prioritizes other things right now such as senate(I'm not sure about this) and other sports.

This is very right, retire while he still have sound body, in which, he will not regret this in the future.
Some boxers are paying the price like his coach Freddie Roach and Muhammad Ali, owed to Parkinsons disease.
Pacquiao should be thankful that he reached this point without any bad effect on his body.
He had done enough in the world of boxing. He gave life to this sports and so we are grateful to witness his legendary journey in this sports.

Yes that is the best destination for him if he still passionate about boxing he can still work with young athletes or take a related job which relate to boxing. He's body movement shows that he needs to hang his gloves since he cannot take to much punch since he's not the same as before. If he want politics then he should focus to that work since its really hard to retire with parkinson disease so he must do it while he's healthy.

IMO, betting exchanges or betting sites makes a profit regardless of the result as there are bettors who bet on both sides and sportsbook only make money from the commission they'll get. Ugas is a huge underdog of the fight, but there are also bettors who risk money on the underdog, and they are the ones who enjoyed winning, for sportsbooks, profit is just a daily norm for them.
But at least it gives the bookies more money than a normal day bet without any big game in the sport, I personally believe probably almost 70% of boxing fans will put their money into pacquaio win, because obviously manny pacquaio has a lot of fans in the world today , especially in this fight, Pacquaio is clearly the favorite to win over ugas.

I feel bad losing money with my bet to Pacquaio but I feel bad more to Manny if he will end his boxing career at a loss. This might not be good but hopefully, Manny will still fight before he retire, he should have a good exit though. I'm sure also that he will run for president next year in my country but I doubt on his chance to win, and that could be a great chance to fight again, let's see his decision when he get back to his country. Anyway, this is still a good match both are great boxer indeed.
