I am hoping to see that as he was really criticized for not beating Russell easily despite the champion literally fighting with one hand only. He needs to silence the critics by beating Vargas which is healthy and a good challenger for him. I'm excited for this fight guys as you are, so let's hope that our champion will be able to defend his title in this fight.
The dude is obviously improving and hopes he won't be pressured in this upcoming fight so far he used his experience fighting in the US very well and he is gaining some more popular than before. nevertheless, he is expected to show some more moves and skills in this fight and more fans are calling for a knockout score to further stretch his confidence to fight more strong boxers in their weight division. Heavy punchers are popular in that division and to be one of them is a huge success and a chance to become one of the legends in boxing history.
Yes, he is improved. He won't climb the rankings if he's not improving. He won't get a chance for a title fight if he's not improving. And now that he finally gets the Championship title, it's clear that he really improved in his entire career in boxing.
He will be able to successfully defend this title. That's what I'm seeing here. We are witnessing another great Filipino boxer in the making that will dominate the Featherweight division and hope he can build a good stand here and move up weight soon.
As they have stated, if Magsayo doesn't win I don't think it will give him a good future, they won't see much potential in him and will seek to do other fights excluding him, here Vargas is also better off than Magsayo himself, for me Magsayo has to overcome all past where he has failed, because it is not good for any boxer who starts to remember moments where he was not good, all athletes and sportsmen have their fall, absolutely all, and the best thing is to know how to get up, what I assume is that Magsayo must have a lot of motivation, he had that poison left inside of having failed and this time I don't think he will do it again.
Indeed, Magsayo really benefited from those wins he got in the previous years, he's the type of boxer that doesn't bark a lot and keeps his head low to have more grasp on the situation. Now that he's training with Freddie Roach, he has more advantages and has helped him to have more IQ in the ring against Vargas.
He already experienced a lot of fighting outside his country and so far he showed some promising fights to prepare for this upcoming fight that will gonna change his life if he gonna shows some best moves to win against Vargas easily. But, as everyone knows, Vargas seems not to be bothered with his opponent's records and that would make this fight interesting. I reckon that their fight will be held at San Antonio, TX so it will be a hostile crowd for Magsayo as the majority of people who will watch the said fight will be Mexicans but I know Magsayo is already used to it as you've also said that Magsayo has already experienced a lot of fight outside his country, the Philippines.
I just bumped an article that Alamodome Stadium was also the same stadium where Manny Pacquiao made his huge breakthrough in his career against Barrera, so maybe this will also the mark where Magsayo will have his same breakthrough. It will be much more fun to watch if the both fighters will go for a toe-to-toe fight.
Yeah, we might compare this to Manny's fight in Alamodome. It was huge back then as Manny is an upcoming star and MAB is legitimate champion already.
So hopefully even if the crowd is hostile against Magsayo, he shouldn't be bothered by it and instead used this as motivation to beat their hometown favorite in Vargas. And now that we have seen the odds for a knock out is huge, it is really a good time to bet for it.
When the crowd goes against Magsayo and he emerges victorious, that's reason enough to say that the fighter has high morale and I know there is no such thing as failure in his mind, should he have a loss, he won't take it that way. It will be a lesson, this fight really promises you, if things go as we are speculating, they will not only use their arms and hands well to hit, it will be a high strategy fight.
