He's not really an underdog if we come to think of it. They are equally talented and strong, both undefeated and had above 60% KO percentage. In fact some fiat based bookies have Magsayo as the favourite.
So, in this case, betting on Magsayo on some of the crypto sports bookies is a good option as the odds listed him at 1.94. That's quite a good profit if you'd ask me.

^^ If bookies can't agree on the odds as to who is the favorite or not, then it's going to be a close fight. But for sure as there are more Filipinos watching boxing from this community, of course they wanted Magsayo to be the underdog so that they will get their money's worth of Magsayo will win. For now, it seems that only the ML is listed, but yeah, why not take advantage of Mark as 2.x odds. Regardless of the venue though, I think this will be a good fight.

Two books slightly favored Rey Vargas while the other book slightly favored the defending champion Magsayo.

Technically Rey Vargas is the better boxer although he is moving up in weight. He was a long time champion, undefeated, more experienced in world level fights and more stamina since he is used to fight in full 12 rounds. Mark Magsayo's advantage is his power, strength and he's got the heart.

This fight is in Alamodome which means the audience will have a lot of Mexican and Mexican-American fans cheering probably for Vargas. And Manny Pacquiao was cheated in Alamodome. Barrera was down in a legit punch but was ruled a slip. Pacquiao slipped and was ruled a knock down. And controversial referee Laurence Cole is still alive and kicking, he might even get the nod to referee this fight.

I do hope Mark Magsayo wins because he is the more exciting fighter. Devin Haney indirectly calling him a bum should further motivate him and give him the hunger to win championships in multiple divisions. And who knows if the two will fight down the road.

Mark though is not a huge underdog in this fight and this could still be considered 50/50. So this might turn out a difficult fight for him, nevertheless we have faith that the can get over Vargas as one of his toughest foe to date.

He will be able to successfully defend this title. That's what I'm seeing here. We are witnessing another great Filipino boxer in the making that will dominate the Featherweight division and hope he can build a good stand here and move up weight soon.

And he should get used to it because it's quite normal since then that you're getting criticized no matter how good or bad your performance, people will still find a way to criticize. He should just focus himself on the prize and defeat Vargas with a good result as this is his 1st title defense. Vargas won't be a hindrance on his success.

Bookies can just easily cancel and suspend the bet if a certain match won't continue due to certain reasons.
