Of course, if he somewhat pull an upset against the legend Donaire, then it will be Gaballo's time to shine and hopefully he will be the next big boxer coming out of PH.

But yes, this is very tough for either of them, Gaballo has the power, and we all know that Nonito's chin is that that strong, we've seen him tagged and goes down in some of his career losses. Still one month to go before this fight happens, and we can only wish that this will be as entertaining fight as everyone is expected although is all-PH boxers.
The upset can happen, so Donaire at big risk here because if he loss this might be the end of his career though a possible rematch can happen. Gaballo will give his best on this match because this might be the start of his good career in boxing and looking at his previous matches, he’s pretty good. Even if this is a Filipino match, I can still see the excitement between these two boxer, they’ll do their best to give us the best fight.

Gaballo is a big surprise this year, winning the interim belt, so there's something special about this kid.

And as you can see his knock out power is very high although it may have something to do with the quality of his opponents as compare to Donaire who has been campaigning in the States for many years.

Yes, Gaballo is a quality opponent, and this might be a close fight.

I like the way you pointed it out. Donaire is campaigning against tough opponents,

fighters from different breed that also wanted to capture the fans from US he brings pride the same way with Pacquiao.

It's a tough challenge for Doniare since he is no longer in his prime. The last win he got exposed him up, Gaballo can use his extra stamina and like
how Inoue beat Donaire, that boy can also exhaust Donaire in the first few rounds and start attacking in the last half of their fight.

Training camps are important between these two fighters scouting how the way the opponent fight will give them some edge to excel.
Fight histories specially on recent ones could really be used out on something which would really be putting you on advantage since you do able to see

on how they fight and what are the flaws and disadvantages that a fighter could have and its true that Donaire is trying out to be the same as Pacquiao but fighting up different races and winning it up wont be an easy road for them to tackle on.

Donaire is getting old and i do see that retirement is gradually approaching.

Gaballo already showed his best in his last fight and what we saw is just pure hard work without special skills to win, in fact, that fight was so controversial but I think he won't be able to do that against Donaire as the flash has the power in both hands.
I also have doubt in him as he cannot beat a technical fighter, he won against Emmanuel Rodriguez via split decision and I think he was just lucky enough as the fans were convinced he lose that game. I don't know what the judges see to declare Gaballo as a winner, but in that fight, I feel he was exposed and his weakness was shown.

You are right, but I think Gaballo should move forward and proved that he belongs to the top if he will able to upset Donaire, or at least give us a good showing.

It was really close decision fight maybe it was that he hit more and that's enough for the judges to score and give him the win against Rodriguez.

So hopefully it will be a different Gaballo that will show up against Donaire.

He need also to win this fight since this could add up his worth knowing that Donaire is a legend/famous fighter, its time to prove to the people who doesn't believe him to shut up and see their fighter to lose in his fist. But this is totally a though fight for him knowing Donaire is a good counter puncher so let see what happen to this fight and since for sure after this we can see a big fight which fans would love to see.

I don't think Casimero and Donaire would fight against each other and I'm sure that the Filipino organizers wouldn't allow it. It's better to have a single representative from each country in a single match. There will be lapses if that happens. Both Casimero and Donaire are making a good name in the industry and most Filipinos support them on their journey.

The Filipino wouldn't want them fighting, but If the boxing council orders a mandatory fight then there's nothing else you can do. Nevertheless, it's a step forward for the boxer's career.

We have seen scenarios like this for the Mexican fighters. They have been fighting each other in the international ring, maybe because there were plenty of good boxers in their country.
This same scenario will inevitably happen for any nationality too.
While some may not like it to me it is a good sign, this means the popularity of boxing is growing at Philippines and that many young people are finding in boxing an opportunity to improve their lives, I am pretty sure that even if boxing was popular before Pacquiao his whole career has had a massive effect on the boxing industry at his country, and now not only there are more boxers at the country but their pay has risen as the rest of the population is willing to pay more money to see those fighters, ready to see who will be the one that will try to follow on Pacquiao's footsteps.

We know on what are the achievements on where Donaire able to reach out and this isn't something that could be reached out by any boxers out  there.
Its true that this man is a good counter puncher and also known for its speed which I could say that it would really be a high and tough wall to break
but its really worth trying and we know that upsets could really happen and also it isn't really bad to consider on making bets with Gaballo.
Not to underestimate Donaire but he's already getting old.

Nonito may win in this bout as He had advantage ove Gaballo.

Experience, power, strength - we can see this as an advantage for Nonito Donaire.

However, Gaballo might be more dedicated to this fight as beating the likes of Donaire will make his name buzzing on their weight class. Climbing up the ladder will also open up an opportunity for him to fight a much top boxer in his league.

Even others will say that Gaballo's most opponents are not popular, it's hard to make 20 Knock Outs from 24 overall fights.

I will take that power advantage from Nonito and give it to Gaballo as he has a high knockout ratio compared to the champion.

Gaballo's knock-out ratio is 83%, while Nonito is only at 65%.
On the quality of opponents, Nonito wins that race obviously, but hopefully Gaballo is also a quality opponent that could give Nonito a real challenge so this fight will go down to the wire.

I think Gaballo will try to show his best version of himself against Donaire here.

Don't forget that he is also a champion holding a bet, so definitely he will be a real challenge for Donaire and I can't remember when was the last time Donaire fought a guy with that kind of record percentage.

So for sure his team has look into it and study Gaballo's style. So this is going to be a real challenge for Donaire and it's hard to see who has the real advantage in this fight.

They actually have a good program for many years now, and in the last Olympics they've produce a lot of medals from boxing alone. I'm not really sure though what will happen for these amateur after their Olympic days. Some of them didn't pursue professional fights.

But there are a lot of talented boxers in PH, maybe they know that boxing is one way to get out of poverty just like what Manny did.

Manny was rare and legendary where he fought to reach the top at the peak of his career and have his own share of losing while others have not been suffered extreme poverty as he had in the past and in order to be like Manny Pacquiao, they need to work hard no matter how much money they are making right now and to those amateurs who want to be like him, they just need to pursue their dreams and work hard like those champions who won some belt in their respective weight divisions.
Nonito is also a Legendary on his own career, he had proven everything in His power and made Filipino proud so i don't think comparing is needed for them both.
pacquiao has been focusing in politics and I am not sure in any chance to go back in the ring.

Right, Manny's case was very rare, but I think most of the boxers right now that come form Visayas to Mindanao region are poverty stricken and that's why they go to boxing to get them out of it.

Amateur might be very different, they could retire or be a coach for the next Olympic. Another rare case is Donaire who grew up in the States but embrace his Filipino roots. And I remember as well Brian Villoria, the Hawaian punch.

Now we still have Donaire, Casimero, Nietes, Ancajas, to name a few.

As long as the Philippines has a good amateur and professional boxing program, it won't run out of good boxers. But the problem is that they are not well known boxing promoters in the country. Once, it was Elorde's son who keep boxing alive, not sure what happen though. But then Manny came along, now that he established MP and hopefully it will help a lot of Filipino break into the US soil. However, we already have the case of Casimero breaking out and then joining Donaire in Probellum, not a good sign to me as to what is going on MP.

That's not how boxing matches work. PH boxers should fight anyone even it's a co-fellow PH boxer.

Take note of where these boxers start. Fighting against co-fellow PH boxers right? They climb to ranking with most PH boxers as their opponent. Some have a big break that's why able to arrange fights internationally.

Boxers will have to fight anyone regardless of the nation.
