I'm 100% sure this thread will be flooded with different conversations. No need for testing lol.

Changing this thread to a summary of the fights might be a good look for easy browsing. I'm in favor of that and will support the thread. But for discussion, a big no. Just see how populated those boxing threads and you can imagine how mixed will be the topic here. Boxing doesn't have any leagues. Their events are individual so it needs an own thread. Can also create spam posts as anyone will just post any matches here, even not a popular fight, since it's boxing.

Boxing has different organizations, the WBA, WBC, WBO, the IBF and there are others. There are also very many promoters, so many weight divisions and the WBA also has the regular champion and the super champion. Everything is very confusing and disorganized in boxing to include in one thread.

@noormcs5. You should create threads separate for WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF gambling and predictions.

Can you start the discussion now OP? It will trigger some responses. In that way, the thread will now start in action to see if it's effective to have all boxing-related discussions here. To start with, do you mean, you are encouraging those thread starters of those boxing topics here to bring their topic here in this thread and lock the current ones?

For now, we have at least 5-6 active boxing threads if I'm not mistaken. Let's see how much volume it will create. Although, it will be a manual search if we like to see who replies to our post. Not a problem if there are not many replies made since our last post but a problem if it's another way around.

You've forgotten to list these other coming matches.
1. [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO
2. [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight)
I think there could be good conversation for any upcoming fight but, this thread could be good as listing of upcoming boxing events.

The Casimero VS Butler match will be on December 11, 2021, that will be on Saturday at Coca Cola Arena in Dubai, United Arab Emirates,

The Nonito Donaire VS Reymart Gaballo match will be on the same date December 11, 2021, which will be on Saturday and will be at Dignity Health Sports Park, Carson, United States.

We can surely discuss this ahead of time but for me, I will be posting some upcoming fights that will be happening right now, like the TSZYU VS INOUE fight that will be on Wednesday, Nov. 17 2021 even though No one is interested in this fight I will still be posting these for everyone to see,

Tim Tszyu - has a record of 19 wins and 0 Lost a good record and the son of a former boxer Kostya Tszyu, the notable fight was with Jeff Horn Tim Tszyu won by TKO against him last fight was with Steve Spark on July 07, 2021,

Takeshi Inoue - Takeshi is not related to Naoya Inoue, but he has proven his worth in the industry and had a record of 17 wins 1 loss 1 draw for many this is another Inoue on the rise and might be a threat for Tszyu but his last fight was on November 07, 2020, with Nath Nwachukwu and won with UD,

For me, I would surely pick Tim Tszyu for having well known in the industry but never underestimate an Inoue, even though they are not blood-related with the Monster but Tim Tszyu had a 79% winning with KO while Takeshi Inoue have 59% KO winnings, but for me I will be betting for Tim Tszyu.

This thread will be useful if you keep it updated, I think it's best called the summary of boxing fights posted in the forum because as to odds and prediction,[/size] everything is likely discussed on the dedicated thread. Great initiative, we can check this thread from time to time to check the history of fights, and also see the odds of the specific fight.
Good idea , changing the tittle to this will make this thread worth a visit as Updates of each Boxing fight is what normal members wanted to check specially those silent gambler that only look for news and discussions in deeper part and not just spams and not so useful thoughts.
Just please keep the thread updated from time to time as there are so many Good fight on the line that needs some valuable discussions .

To appreciate your effort in trying to contain all boxing related discussions in 1 thread, let's give it at least a month whether or not it's effective.

Yes, that's a good idea to wait and see how this experiment develops. However, i have got mixed opinions about this thread as some of the people are happy about it and others think its not a good initiative. Lets give it some time and see if we can have good constructive discussions of all matches in one place.

I have no problem with creating a thread like this, but for me, I want a dedicated discussion on a particular boxing match so we can dwell on the strength and weaknesses of each fighter and give hints or tips for those who like to bet on that particular fight, the flow of discussion will always be on-topic about one particular match.
I did not post here before because I was thinking maybe this thread might be deleted, exactly what you mean was what I wanted to comment.

It has been like that on this thread that any big coming boxing match will be posted here by any member, then other members will discussed about it. This is a good option than taking all the matches that worth each thread to only be one thread.
correct and also because if the specific fight will be posted here then flooding will take place and the topic will go here and there as there will surely update in the upcoming fight and also to the finished one.

So best to have specific thread for each fight specially if our favorite boxer will be on the ring.

Quote

If OP see new matches coming up, then he can also create a thread about it because I can see what he created being discussed on individual thread rather packing it up into a single thread.
actually he can continue what he wanted to pursue here but of course threads for up coming fight will surely pop up in different timing .

Good initiative bro!
This is going to be the go-to place for all the boxing fans out there.
However, some members may still create separate threads for a specific fight when the OP forgot to include a specific boxing match or the members find it very hard to discuss a specific fight when some are discussing different fight.
So, this will most likely the thread for a boxing match that are most notable for the international bettor, or else the OP will have to have simultaneous updates due to the number of fights that's being dealt.

To appreciate your effort in trying to contain all boxing related discussions in 1 thread, let's give it at least a month whether or not it's effective.

I have seen that we have a dedicated thread for all other sports but every time there is a new boxing match, i see a new thread being created for this.
The problem is, people do create such topic for all events and then forget whereas one match specific topics does not require that kind of "keep updating for a new match" requirement; you may forget your topic and for a new match someone will create a new topic and will discuss there and then will forget. This is why most all previous attempts to have a one single topic to cover all boxing matches got failed.

I appreciate your intention and efforts but at the same time if you cannot dedicate your time for updates for your topic then do not plan up for the same. I am always positive about having all-in-one topic kind of topic but when it is not available on first 2 pages of gambling discussion sub then I get no option rather than going with match specific ones.

It is difficult to maintain only a single thread for all the boxing matches. It might end up a messy thread. Every single match means a discussion on the skills of each boxer, their statistics and experiences, the odds, etc. If 5 matches are discussed in a single thread, the thread will not only become disorganized but also grow into a single spammy megathread.

I am in favor of a single thread per significant match. A thread is created if a certain match is worth discussing, if it is a mega match. After the match is finished, it should be closed.

I'm with others here that this thread might lead to a mess. Kind of not convenient for me to participate in specific boxing matches where the thread is full of different discussions. We will see Casimero vs Butler, Donaire vs Gaballo, Crawford vs Porter, GGG vs Murata, Ippo vs Martinez lol, and even exhibition matches that are out of the context of the real boxing in the same thread. There are lots of boxing events and that requires different analyzations and speculations. We are not having any problems with that kind of setup so I think we better stick with it.

Instead, better this thread will serve as a compilation of upcoming boxing events, or just a pure betting discussion with only a few general discussions just like the setup of NBA general thread and NBA betting thread, although it's not really necessary to have that one in boxing as in basketball, almost every day has a game.

It is enough if the names of threads and links to them are given here. I think that it will be better to discuss about fighters and predictions in separate threads. If we talk about different fights in one thread, it can unfortunately result in a lot of confusion and a mess.

The point is that there is a singe thread for other sports like football, tennis or cricket. All those matches are discuss in that particular thread and no one seems to complain if the thread has gone very big or there are different matches. If multiple matches are discussed in single thread, why can't we discuss boxing here.

I was kind of disappointed to see that people still discussing boxing on individual threads and ignoring this one.

Note:  If i do not get any positive response on this, i will lock this thread.

I am OK in making one thread for all boxing topics, just like what we did in the UFC thread, and we are surely going to make topics on the latest events that may happen in the Boxing industry and we can surely start by Schedules or simply if 1 person just want to discuss away from the scheduled fight it is still OK as long as it is on topic with this thread,

For me just keep this thread alive and I will surely post upcoming fights and what I think and my pick would be, and I will surely start by posting this one,

November 17, 2021

Tim Tszyu vs Takeshi Inoue

There is no official venue yet so I don't know how they can sell tickets, but this is WBO #1 and WBO #7 Tim risks his world title shot to take on world #7 I am kind of interested in another boxing match like Barera VS Ponce De Leon or Crawford VS Porter but this is going to be on Wednesday, Nov. 17 so it can't be helped.

I think this is a good idea but boxing is a one-on-one fight and therefore you can't tell which is which if there's an upcoming fight. Although, UFC thread is still a little different than the other sports thread and a sports topic that usually has a team and I haven't found a thread for UFC only. So that means, boxing, UFC/MMA, or any other sports that consists mainly two fighters only will not have a single thread for them all.

I don't think people would get used to it if they start posting topics on a single thread then finding who their bets in a fight. I think it would be a chaos if you make it like that.

We had one thread for UFC just try the search bottom because I am not going to share the link here and the thread starter is tokeweed.

There is no harm in trying so lets see how things turn out, however I think the main difference is that when it comes to other sports we see specific leagues being discussed on the whole thread so many matches can be discussed at the same time as all of them are related to each other as the teams are all part of one big competition.

Boxing on the other hand is based on individual events, the closest equivalent that we could have to what happens in other sports are weight divisions or if we discussed fights that only happen within a particular boxing association.

Don't make things too technical. It's been ages already where a separate threads design for a specific match is created here.

In that specific thread, speculations and odds can also be discussed. This thread will just create a spam message since posts here will also be the same as the discussion thread. There's no problem with having specific threads because if there is, it should be a topic even before but there's none.

I also check your post history and you are not even participating in giving analysis or odds forecast about boxing then suddenly you become interested in creating a topic like this?

This thread will just be a mixed-up of speculations. And the result? Multi quotes with different topics.

For example, someone will post odds or speculations for Murata vs GGG. Someone will post odds or speculations for Crawford vs Porter. It will create multiple responses since it's a different subject. Instead of being an organized discussion, the different subjects will be discussed here.

Don't worry about those specific threads because, in the end, those threads are being locked after the event ends. They are not annoying to see here.

Don't lock this thread. This is a good idea to compile all the discussion since boxing match is same with other sports here and to make gambling discussion thread cleaner and centralized.

Do you want all boxing events to discuss here? Brace yourselves in manual work to find who quoted your post lol.

They are creating threads for each match because they wanna learn what others think of the outcome. And then discussing the weaknesses and strengths of boxers before betting. I guess it's your preference.

Like the UFC Prediction thread, it's just one thread because there's only one UFC but notice there is also a thread about Bellator mixed with not-so-popular production like One Champ.

Is there a big reason why we have to follow that same format, why not set up a poll or keep this thread open and see where they want to comment, all the boxing events posted here are main events so if we have 6 main events boxing in a month we'll have a lot of quotes, requotes, and so many quotes and we'll have a hard time tracking whose matches we are talking, every main event boxing discussions are worth discussing.
