Cameron Dunkin, who is Ennis's promoter, was once Crawfords manager. Crawford fired him and he has let his personal feelings get in the way of some opportunities for his fighter Ennis. Haymon has treated Cameron's fighters as second class citizens. Being so loyal to PBC has backfired because now they have no network to fight on and no leverage to negotiate with Crawford or any other top welterweight. Ennis is supposed to be the one who carries the torch when Crawford and Spence retire but the poor handling of his career is holding him back from realizing his potential.

one mistake of Jaron Ennis's promoter and it is a big consequence for sure, if Cameron Dunkin still isn't moving on from what Crawford has done I really think doing such things Cameron Dunkin has led talent to despair, will impact his career and future on the sports for sure that was one flip side on boxing you can never know who's true and who is not, but that is life in general, but for sure Jaron Ennis would just need to prove that he is better and for sure this is all allegation towards Cameron Dunkin and it is because of Crawfords doing,

Well, Tyson Fury is known for his trash talking and I doubt he will struggle to get sponsorship, not that I do like all that trash talk but he is Tyson Fury and that name itself will get his sponsorship no matter what happens.
He actually doesn't need to do what other boxers are doing on social media to receive more attention, he will get the attention and all this trash-talking is just a bonus.

Here is what he said to Usyk.

Well, it is pretty normal for the Gypsy King to make trash talks like this but apparently, guys like this who can have a conversation like that is a potential market value, just like Conor McGregor but for sure Francis Ngannou is ready for a rebout, and funny enough Tyson Fury doesn't have any answers to that, but for sure I would like to see another fight for Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou,

Quote
"I'm the dauntless in his waters, let's just say that. They've got to pull out the long-range guns and we'll see.

"If he beats me, which he can't, there will be nothing which stands in his way of total domination.

"[He can't beat me] because I'm 'The Gypsy King' - that's enough."

It will be a long wait for us boxing fans, I thought it was going to be our entertainment gift before Christmas but because of what happened against Ngannou, Fury will get his recovery time and it will be done in February.
Too long but there's nothing we can do and we won't like one camp using that as a reason for his defeat. It's better if they are both healthy.

Well, it needed to be moved Tyson Fury had a bad knockout and it was on the temple he needed a sure rest because of that, for sure Tyson Fury never expected something like that, and he will have a hard time against Ngannou for sure they think this is going to be just like a walk in the park but for the heavyweights the exhibition matches is different as 1 punch can still be fatal for any boxer in that division,

I reckon as a fan, this will be very difficult to give respect to Shakur Stevenson if he avoids Devin Haney hehehe. Haney has earned everyone's respect after going to Australia, after defending the belt in the rematch and after fighting Lomachenko who is a very good boxer. Devin Haney, for a very young man, he has proven himself by showing us every victory in each of the challenges he has taken.

In any case, if Shakur wants to avoid Haney, fans might like Devin Haney vs. Tank Davis much better hehehehehe.

IMHO, Shakur will not avoid Haney and i think he will call out his name to fight him as he has nothing to lose and everything to gain if ever he wins against Haney. That would be a fight between two technical boxers and as hard core fan of boxing, I don't mind if they box for the full 12 rounds as that might be fun to watch, but to ordinary fans who always want a KO, never mind watching this fight.

And speaking of Boots Ennis. He was actually offered by Crawford prior to the Spence fight. Ennis was so scared of the boogeyman that his team decided to make lame excuses and refused Crawford's offer. And their garbage excuse? According to them, Al Hymen treated them well so they wanted PBC to handle their fights, rejecting the chance to fight for a belt which would be promoted by Crawford's partners at that time. There's a video on this where Boots' dad was the one defending their lame excuse not to fight Crawford. Besides, Hymen did not really treat them well since they waited forever to enforce its mandate on Spence and it never came until the belt was taken by Crawford.

Spence activated the rematch clause on Crawford. This means Crawford will fight Spence next and not after fighting someone. Anyways, at Crawford's age, he's got no more business at 147. He should spend his limited remaining pro days fighting legacy fights like trying to get a belt at 154 to make him a 4-division champion or even become the first ever 3-division undisputed in the modern era.

Oh yeah, I remember that him and Top Rank co promoted Crawford way back when Terrence was starting his career and we can say that they did a good job, made him undisputed at 140 lbs. But Crawford wanted more and so he bolted out with Top Rank, never really hire someone to manage his career.

But as far as Ennis fighting Crawford, he will have to wait because we all know that Spence has activated the rematch clause, could be 154 lbs fighting weight. Yeah, it could be that Ennis will be carrying the torch, but there could still be a lot of fighters at 147 lbs not name Spence and Crawford. Maybe Ortiz if he can still make it at 147 lbs? Or Eimantas Stanionis the regular WBA World champion.

@bisdak, @Boafeng. On Shakur being the WBC lightweight champion, would the fans have a unification vs. Devin Haney or will we witness Shakur and Haney avoid each other? There is also Tank hehehe. They might also avoid him very much similar to how the kings of welterweight were avoiding Boots Ennis.

Shakur is in a similar position to Demetrius Andrade. Fighters can just avoid him by saying that he is boring and wants too much money. There are still other good fighters in the division like Loma, Kambosos and Zepeda. We will likely see them challenge for Haney's other belts when they become vacant. A fight against any of them would be intriguing but unless they're offered a significant sum of money it might not be their highest priority to challenge Shakur Stevenson.

I did not watch the fight but there are social media posts regarding to how his opponent's deal with his loss, something that mentioned about his there to fight but Shakur's way is to track him to get the point and just make sure to win it, I mean, my interpretation with what De los Santos wanted to implied is Shakur just secure the by win points and not the way a warrior fought.

Though there's nothing that De Los Santos can do now, if ever they will meet again he needed to adjust with the strategy Shakur used against him if he wanted to win.

The aggressive Edwin De Los Santos has handed it to him by a more composed but more waiting Shakur Stevenson for sure many will say that Shakur Stevenson was just running in this fight against the more aggressive De Los Santos even if he is more aggressive in the start of the rounds you can see that points was still with Shakur and because Edwin De Los Santos badly needed points so he is making an error and Shakur Stevenson have capitalized in that to even take the score and pressure Edwin De Los Santos even more for sure the strategy of Shakur Stevenson was not really warrior like but it is proven effective,

I don't think that with this performance, Haney will avoid him as what Shakur camp is picturing. But the problem if Haney can still make the 135 lbs weight limit? He is fighting Prograis at 140 lbs and if he wins then he might vacant his 135 lbs belt for good and stay at 140 lbs. Teo Lopez is waiting for him as he also had one belt.

I don't think that anyone at 147 lbs is avoiding Ennis though, it's not the numbers might not be attractive for now for the likes of Crawford to face him. Fighting Ennis is a high risk low reward for Crawford.

Not sure about Tank, he is being protected right now as he is a cash cow but with no belts, hehehehe.

spence will face second defeat if he goes for Crawford for the 2nd time. he obviously is no match to bud. he should just wait til Crawford gets a bit older, this is the new strategy of this boxing era anyway. lol

I think that fight will be at 154 lbs, they said that he is weight drain at 147 lbs. Not yet final, but I have a feeling that the rematch will be at 154 lbs and it might be close unlike the first fight. But nevertheless, if might be the same outcome, Crawford goes to win and defeat Spence twice in a row. Most likely like the case of Joshua losing twice against Usyk.

Ryan did face a top contender, it must have been out of boredom so he ask for Davis. he got what he asked for, good that he didn't overthink of that loss and move on with Duarte. Shakir vs Ryan is possible. think Ryan has a chance.

I think it's not about boredom, it's obvious that he wanted to have a money fight, a big fight that will earn him millions and that's why he given up a lot like rehydration clause, size of the ring, maybe the gloves to wear. But he is no match to the power of Tank Davis. I don't think that Ryan will go down to 135 lbs. He is too big for that weight class already.

^^ No, Broner will still have to deal with Howard. His name just pop up because Oscar Dela Hoya mentions AB that he could be the potential next fight for Ryan Garcia. But Garcia has his own fight with a very tough Duarte so we will have to see first that fight and how's Garcia under a new trainer and Broner too, if he can get pass Howard in his fight.

So nothing is concrete here, but as we have said, if Ryan wanted to become a world champion, stop chasing fighters like Duarte or Broner. There are a lot of great 140 lbs right now. If he wants then get some fighters in the top 5, as stepping stone to see if he still has that left hook power at this weight class and maybe talk later about the champion in Regis or Devin Haney.

Broner may not be the ideal match for Ryan Garcia; he's been on the decline, and Garcia needs to face top contenders to boost his ranking. Despite one loss, Garcia's career isn't done; he's likely to come back stronger. A win against Duarte would set him on the right path. The key is to keep challenging top contenders, gradually building his resume until he gets into the championship match up again.

How about Ryan Garcia vs Shakur? I think this is a good fight to watch,  boring vs non, and if Ryan would beat Shakur, he'll become the new champion, or if Shakur does not want to risk his belt, they can have a non title fight, is it possible?

They might also avoid him very much similar to how the kings of welterweight were avoiding Boots Ennis.

Why would Haney and Shakur avoid PBC's last undefeated cash cow? The question should be, when does Tank Davis grow balls to fight for the belts? Tank's nearing 30 yet he remained beltless at 135 and 140. Haney's only 25 and he already became undisputed at 135 and next month he'll have the chance to become a 2-division champion. Shakur's 26 but he is already a 3-division world champion. Tank's 29 and is a 1 division champion at 130. Tank just like Jake Paul and Ryan Garcia has a lot of casual followers which is why he keeps getting big money even without a belt. But those champions are very willing to give him a shot once he's got the guts to be great.

Guys, don't get your hopes up for an entertaining fight if Shakur wins. If he keeps up his current pace, it means he's dictating the fight with his run-and-gun style, and that usually leaves fans unsatisfied. You know how it goes......they complain that Shakur is boring, yet they still shell out their money hoping for a different outcome. Some things never change!

Many are hopeful that Shakur will entertain us. Personally, what I'm looking forward to is the day he faces a defeat, which would undoubtedly offer real entertainment. There's no denying his prowess in boxing; he's an incredibly dominant fighter, and his skills are challenging to match, even against knockout artists who lack his speed.

But, can we believe he said this?

"Shakur Stevenson Says He Would Have Smoke A Prime Manny Pacquiao...""

https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/shakur-stevenson-says-he-would-have-smoke-a-prime-manny-pacquiao.704625/page-3

he is popular but not the kind of Manny's power that drives people to travel just to watch him. but just like Inoue, they are both climbing the ladder. it will be really good to see popular boxers like Haney, Tank or Shakur fighting Inoue for this man is more likely to follow Manny. he is unifying titles and he is hurrying up to achieve greatness.

Inoue is currently in the superbantamweight division, and it would require him to climb three weight classes to face Shakur. While it's a possibility, it might take some time. Inoue's plan seems to be staying in the current division for a while, especially if he manages to unify all the belts, a scenario we'll find out about after his fight with Tapales on December 26th.

Garcia vs Broner sounds a bit of a joke but it will be fun. Broner is Ryan co main event this dec 2. theyd be observing each other then.

So Broner has a new opponent? I thouht he's up against Chris Howard as we have a thread here created before.

Good news for Shakur fans out there, we have a new champion!

Shakur Stevenson becomes earns WBC lightweight title in decision win over Edwin De Los Santos

Quote
Shakur Stevenson is now a three-division champion. Stevenson, the former Olympic silver medalist, grinded out a tough win over Edwin De Los Santos on Thursday night to claim the WBC lightweight crown in Las Vegas.

How do you rate the fight? Are you entertain or got bored? How about the betting side, anyone here won their bet?

I did not watch the fight but there are social media posts regarding to how his opponent's deal with his loss, something that mentioned about his there to fight but Shakur's way is to track him to get the point and just make sure to win it, I mean, my interpretation with what De los Santos wanted to implied is Shakur just secure the by win points and not the way a warrior fought.

Yeah, I saw the frustration. Shakur didn't break any boxing rules, so his win is fair game. However, in this boxing scene, especially when compared to international competitions like the Olympics,  this boxing we saw was more about entertainment. The reality is, his style of running to secure a win doesn't really entertain the fans. It seems to be increasing his number of haters, and these haters just keep showing up in most of his fights. LOL.

Shakur though disappoint me as a fan, I thought that he will go for a knockout win against Delos Santos and so I beat on that. Unfortunately, he doesn't want to engage and now he is getting a lot of heat from the fighters that he wanted, like Haney and Tank Davis.

So let's see how it goes, it might take sometime for him to digest, or if he is really hurt with that left hand or not. Some of the best have off-nights too or even lost their fight, at least Shakur get the win.

And so all the Devin talk died last night for Shakur, but again, let's see what his plan next, if Devin goes back to 135 lbs and fight him, let's see what will be the split then.
Yeah, that was a bit disappointing, it lacks that "oomph" performance, and lack of action. For a lightweight fight, we are expecting some good fights like at least more punches that are being thrown and connected but it became a technical fight with jabs that ain't even hitting.
According to statistics, this is the lowest punches landed they have seen for a 12-rounder which is obvious after I watched the replay of the fight.
The good part is, that Shakur Stevenson admitted that it was not a bad performance on his side but he will just have to live with it and he still got the win.
He didn't also make excuses about that lack of punches using his left hand after he was interviewed if it was injured or not.
I think he is telling the truth, boxers also had this type of night where they were not in a condition to fight. It happens, shit happens. The crowd may have not liked it but it is what it is.
Maybe next time it will be different. Devin Haney maybe?

Lucky for him that he got Bob Arum's back as the latter planned to let him fight the aggressive Navarrete which i think could make him look good in the ring in this fight materializes.

The fight in itself was a mess, Shakur have an off night while they started very late at night when everybody was supposed to be sleeping and the action in the ring doesn't help anyone to be awake to finished the full twelve rounds.
