This is excellent news for the upcoming fight. As a fan, I don't mind the postponement as long as we have a new date for the bout. With this update, we no longer have to worry about the fight's uncertainty. The mega fight is still on, and I just hope that Inoue's power has not been affected so he can display the same ferocity in the ring that we've seen before.

Yeah, I guess that's once trait of the Japanese people though, I mean they are very apologetic in a sense and so when they say that Inoue is injured, they will have to come up with a new date and probably this is what they come out, a end of July fight.

And we also have to commend Fulton as well, because he understands the accident that happen to Inoue in training and so they have to announced a postponement early. But we have a new date so the fight is still on. I think it might not bothered Inoue, he just can't change his style, just because of his hands. If it heals perfectly then I think he will still have the same or even more power.

I agree, Kudos for Fulton as he is willing to wait after that incident, he didn't demand anything but he was willing to wait for the new date, good thing that his camp will not look for anything but will wait till Inoue is ready.

Now there is no chance for Casimero to request for title fight against Fulton until Fulton fights Inoue.  I thought this incident could be a good chance for the camp of Casimero to request a title fight against Fulton after his fight against Nghitmumbwa.

Good thing that there's a date to wait after the postponement of the schedule fight, they need to
wait till Inoue got better condition after the accident injury.

Yeah, at least it is not a total cancellation of the fight but rather just a move of date until Inoue is recovered and able to fight in the ring perfectly.  This will prolong the discussion, prediction and speculation about the Inoue and Fulton title fight.

I agree, injuries are probably one of the worst aspects of any sport, but at the same time they are inevitable, athletes take their bodies to the extreme so it is natural there are injuries along the process and no one was at fault for this, however it seems the recovery of Inoue will be fast enough and Fulton is willing to wait, which obviously makes the fans really happy about this as I really thought the possibility of the fight being canceled was very high.

Actually, the expected recovery period is already extended to the point that Inoue should be 100% ready.

Stephen Fulton obviously will wait for that patiently as in the first place, he even doesn't want to win with that advantage.

But my worry here is if Inoue won't make it up as 100% fully healthy on the expected date of recovery, this fight might not happen anymore.

It is expected that Inoue's camp will wait until he is fully recovered from the injury he have got and will not make any hasty moves to waste this opportunity as this will determine if Inoue will be an instant 2-belt champion or not. As of now, there's no problems at all because Fulton's camp is not showing any signs of resistance towards this fight and it is safe to assume that he will wait patiently until Inoue is back in his usual form. Let's just be positive that this fight will materialize in good fate.

But in this case, Inoue and his camp doesn't want to do that, or at least Inoue going through the pain of fighting because it's not going to be very good and his performance might be hindered by it, hence we might suffer his first career loss.

That's the risk of coming back prematurely. If Inoue loses, it could hurt his future and diminish his value. As the current top-ranked boxer, losing to a champion who is not as popular could be a huge setback. Inoue needs to be smart about his return and not force things. He should ensure that he is 100% ready before making a comeback. Pride is insignificant if it results in an unexpected outcome. At the end of the day, boxing is a business, and a boxer's value is crucial.

We shouldn't be concerned about that possibility, as it would be unwise for Inoue to go into the fight if he's not fully recovered. It would be disrespectful to the current champion, and if he were to lose, he may use his injury as an excuse. It's important for us to see Inoue at 100% healthy and ready to compete against the defending champion, Fulton.

It's because Inoue doesn't want to fight that he is not healthy, simple as that. Although there could be boxers like Loma for instance who got injured and still proceed to the most important fight against Kambosos and he clearly lost. And after that fight, we just learn that he has that shoulder injury that's why he can't fight the way he wanted.

But in this case, Inoue and his camp doesn't want to do that, or at least Inoue going through the pain of fighting because it's not going to be very good and his performance might be hindered by it, hence we might suffer his first career loss.

Inoue's injury is linked to the source of his power, and he won't take any chances by not fighting at 100%. As the challenger, his best chance of winning is through a knockout, which he's known for in his fights. Although the fight is scheduled for July, and the injury isn't considered serious, Inoue is taking precautions to ensure that he's fully recovered and ready to compete.

True, we don't want to see this happened to athletes specially like Inoue who is still in his prime and already a star in his own right. Luckily, he has the same injury as like the best of the boxers, recently Canelo Alvarez also had to go to a surgery to fix the bone in his knuckles. But there could be worst injuries for a boxers like health issues that could lead them to not fight at all, or even some who suffered from mental issues too.

So there's a lot from this athletes, we think that they are super human because of Inoue's punching power, but it has a caveat, that is, the whole hand is not taking those power very lightly and sooner it's going to break. The good thing is that it's not that serious as it may seem and as I have posted the fight will go on July.

If we do speak about Japanese race and its behavior then we could really tell that they are really that somewhat honest and really that transparent when it comes to things. It is really just that great that both camps did really make out their announcement and the other side did really respect it out and without having those thrown words and issues just like on other upcoming shit matches where lots of reasoning and bubble talks do happen in the middle.

We didnt see this thing happen on here but instead they do just announce it out about the postponement and then move out the date.Just like been said that we could really wait and its not an issue
on having more months for us to wait.

This is the kind of fight we like, there's no discussion that is going on behind the curtains without letting the people know about it. I mean, we as the fans surely have the right to know the situation because that is why we really commend them for being transparent about it. So, what we have now is just a minor setback because Naoya Inoue has been injured and let's just wait for further announcement regarding the timeline of their fight.

There culture is very much different from the West, they want to be brutally honest and transparent and that's what Inoue did here. He doesn't want Fulton to feel uncomfortable in their reschedule fight so they released a new one that Inoue agreed.

So the ball in on the side of Inoue, he needs to heal that hand and then start training again. It could be just a slight reset on his end. But knowing how professional he is and will go back to his training right away as to not disappoint us.

2 months of healing mean it doesn't sound that bad. What I seem to have difficulty finding is the whole detail of the injury. All I can see is "he hurt himself during training" but no further information afterward.
So I doubt there are surgeries or whatsoever career-ruining injuries here because they gave an exact date. As a fan, all we can do is wait and keep our excitement for now. The good news is, it will still happen and no one is backing out.
The preparation for the fight will not only be about the healing period but also the training period. Perhaps one month will be allocated for healing and another for training, so Inoue should still be in good shape come fight night. It's commendable that they decided not to hide the injury. It's a reasonable decision that not only Fulton but the fans will also understand. We'll patiently wait for the fight to happen.
Its good that it do still resume or continue but of course it would be talking about later or longer date but not that much since 2 months wont really be that too long.It was been said that it was Postponed in the first place and not been cancelled which means that they are really that keeping an eye for this match and its been set despite of  the unexpected injury on where they do able to commit out but its good
that its been resumed. Fans could wait and the most important thing is about recovery on which Inoue should fight on his best shape rather than on proceeding with having these injury issues.

Yes, I think 2 months is just enough for Inoue to have healed that injury and recover in time and then go in the train to test his knuckles again.

And all we can do is now is to wait for it, not that long least both have more time under to train hard and be in the best shape of their boxing career because this is going to be big specially for Inoue who are going up in weight and try to become a champion again.

Just 4 months of waiting, at least still in the same calendar year.

Agree to that, even it was being postponed with this update its assure fans that the fight will happen, and the wait is worthed as
both camps agree to settle it this upcoming July.

Nothing to expect with both side but a good preparation, trainings and video replays with opponents past fights are very important.

Fulton and Inoue are both great fighters who will showcase everything for this upcoming fight.

Ok, here the latest date for this fight,

https://www.instagram.com/p/CqW-nS1KZpJ/

The news came for their official IG account, so the fight is still a go this July as we expected it to be around June or something. But at least for fans for Inoue, we will have a date and no postponement for this fight. And it's 4 months for now, not sure if Fulton will get a tune up fight, or just remain active in the gym or take a break from training and only go back like May for another 8 weeks final training for this fight. Same with Inoue, probably if he had undergone surgery it can heal in the next 2 months and hitting the gym by May as well.
Thank you for sharing that important news. I was just about to Google if there are recent updates about it but this really helped out.
