Shakur is a top-level which many had turned down fighting him, even Loma and Isaac Cruz but I think DLS can handle him. Though Santos can hurt with just jabs, he hasn't fought someone with skills like Shakur.

De Los Santos is younger with 1 loss, so losing another isn't as frightening as the first for him. He's got his run though but Shakur could stop him from picking up while he is still trying to climb up.

Well, one thing is for sure, both boxers wanted the vacant belt even if it's just an interim title for the meantime but that is still the same because if Haney will continue his journey at 140 then that means that whoever wins this bout, he will be a regular champion after Haney will be stripped.

Correct, the winner might be relegated to full status by the WBC if Haney will be stripped because he doesn't want to defend or campaign at 140 lbs.
It could be a duck for Haney as clearly as him and Shakur has been going on in social media prior to the announcement of Shakur's fight, (including the failed Frank Martin fight).

But I got to say though, Shakur really got an upper hand because his IQ is different and with experience, I know he can handle Santos. Shakur wouldn't be feared at 135 by Loma, Isaac and even Haney if he's not even that hard to fight but he is really hard to crack that is why those guys chose to avoid him rather than face an imminent embarrassment.

And that is one point that Devin Haney's father said in one video.
Shakur is above his son, although Devin is getting closer as he won championship, he still thinks that Shakur might overcome his son, hence they got up to 140 lbs and chase Regis for his belt.

Frank Martin can offer a better match than De Los Santos there is a level in boxing and De Los Santos although good on paper I doubt is on the same level as Shakur, although this is a good opportunity for De Los Santos he is not ready to face a boxer like Shakur who has proven himself to be a top-level fighter.

There's really no need to create a poll on this fight, Shakur will secure the majority of the vote this is going to be an easy fight for Shakur, for the lack of fighters to face in his division, he is fighting, a fighter who lacks credentials to be in a title fight.

I also voted for Stevenson to win by KO.

I voted for Stevenson to win via decision. Although his last fight was won via TKO, I still believe that Stevenson is not aggressive enough to go for a KO. Instead, he will play it safe, as is his usual strategy, to ensure a win. If De Los Santos were to recklessly attack Stevenson, then maybe we might see a KO. However, if he also plays smart, this fight will likely go to the judges' scorecards, with another unanimous win for Stevenson.

Yes, I mean it's safe to go for a win via score card or referee stoppage. But as you have said, if a KO is presented itself, then boxers will go for it. It might not mean a knockout through a huge punch in the face, but maybe a body punch will do as Stevenson is also known to be a big body puncher or least he makes it as a target to slow down his opponents and then maybe go for the kill later.

And if De Los Santos weakness is going for a maximum range in his every punch, then for sure Stevenson is going to used that and time him with a good counter either to the face or body and so the possibility of a KO win.

This Edwin De Los Santos can do as a replacement for Frank Martin and I think he's going to give Shakur Stevenson a pretty much good taste of how lightweight should be because this is also his chance to show the public what he is capable of instead of just being a nameless #5 boxer in the lightweight division.

Comparing their records, Edwin is decent enough to test Shakur in this division. The latter may have some advantage, of course, but I still think that this will be a good fight to see.

So after Frank Martin has back out of the supposedly fight with Shakur Stevenson. Team Stevenson was able to secure another fighter in the division, ranked 5th in Edwin De Los Santos.

I think Edwin though is good and can give Shakur a good test at lightweight.

Here are highlights of Edwin and be the judge if he can compete with Shakur or not, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3kbEPhdUkY

No, I don't think he can match Shakur's power, this Edwin is good at knocking out patsies but it's totally different when you're fighting who is stronger than you are, who can counter, can duck, and has a good ring generalship.
Shakur will just teach him a lesson in boxing, this is not the kind of fighter that can give Shakur a big challenge.

Edwin has 16 fights and 14 knockouts but he cannot be compared to Shakur's skills, Shakur is still the heavy favorite here, but we'll see, Edwin can punch there's a possibility of an upset if Shakur relaxes his defense.

I think ML will give us a not so very attractive odds.

It's not very attractive, as indicated by this site, https://www.proboxingodds.com/. Here are the betting odds:

Edwin Delos Santos +530
Shakur Stevenson -900

I wouldn't bet on the Moneyline with those odds. Risking $900 to win $100 is a significant gamble. Instead, I would wait for alternative markets on this fight. Maybe there are more attractive odds, although they might come with higher risk.

I also voted for Stevenson to win by KO.

We have seen his talent already, taking the 0 of some of his opponents and they make them amateurish to a certain degree because of Stevenson's good boxing IQ. He will simply break down any of his opponents. And sometimes he will beat them to their own game, so that's how great Shakur is.

But at least he has found a dance partner that is willing, and so this is a go now and most likely it will be like Stevenson on 1.2x as favorite, I reckon.

I'm still for Stevenson on this bout. He's still ahead against other guys on this division and De Los Santos isn't even close to the closest second when it comes to speed and power. Stevenson might not make quick work of the challenger, but he's still going to come out on top in terms of scores and knock downs if it ever goes the distance.

A bet on a knockout will be the most value here. ML is just straight up favoring Stevenson no matter where you will look once the odds are up.

Looking at how De Los Santos moves, I believe Stevenson can score an easy knockdown against De Los Santos.  De Los Santos is left very open every time he throws his punches.  See the videos, his hands are too far for defense when he throws power punches.  I think this kind of defense will be easily exploited by Stevenson so I believe that Stevenson will win this fight via knockout.

Odds for sure will favor Shakur on this match. So you can also look for other money lines here once they are out.

I think ML will give us a not so very attractive odds.

By winning method, over/under and other betting lines. But it seems Shakur will win via knockout here.

I do like the over/under though, not sure what will be the initial though, perhaps it will be -/+ 10.5 rounds?

As he has no loss yet, I don't think de los santos will win via upset. So maybe, this match is indeed just another tune-up fight for Shakur.
Shakur also has high KO win percentage, so high probability that he will finish the match early.

Yes and it's a easy route for Shakur to win another belt at 135 lbs. Not sure though if Haney will vacant it as he will have a fight at 140 lbs and then still go down and back to 135 lbs are a regular champion and then him and Shakur could meet.

I agree, he over commits and this could be an opening that Shakur will take advantage of. As we all know that Shakur has a high boxing IQ and in this kind of mistakes that his opponent makes, he will simply throw a counter either to the body or to the chin.

And the thing with Edwin Delos Santos is that his chin has been broken already, although he did get up from the canvass and score a knockout win, but still though, if someone has crack your jaw already, it's just a matter of time before someone does it again.

I still think that Shakur will beat Delos Santos easy, although the highlights proved the Edwin is good too and he could be a technical and a brawler if he wanted to play so it depends on his opponents.

But again, Shakur is one of the most avoided fighter at light weight, I mean delos Santos is rank 5th, so from 1-4, he is being avoided just like when Frank Martin duck him and hide on the reasons that they want 50/50 split for the vacant WBC belt which is not going to happen because Shakur is the A-side here.
