He should not underestimate Butler because it is like his make or break for the next fight. If he will win, then high likely he will ask Inoue again for the next fight. But if he will lose, then I don't think Inoue's camp will agree to fight him because the interest of the audience may not be the same as before. So yes, he should really be serious in this training.

As far as Casimero's mindset is concerned, he's not the type of boxer that will underestimate his opponent. Expect that he's going to be serious fighting Butler.

But agree that if he will lose the match, a chance of fighting Inoue will now have a slim chance to happen. Why should Inoue fight a contender that comes from losing on the recent fight?

Before thinking that, let's just wait for the result first.

I think the only big fight that Casimero could get in his current division is the fight against Inoue, that's why he always challenges Inoue to fight him. If Casimero won this fight and he still can't make it with Inoue, then you think going up is a good idea for Casimero? I'm afraid that he will experience what Donaire experience when he tries to go up in weight.

A fight with Inoue is like winning the lotto for Team Casimero as his purse will be more than 10x fold, maybe a fight with Donaire would likely generate good money too but with how things are going on with them right now, I don't think they will face each other unless it is a mandatory fight.

If a fight with Inoue doesn't materialise next year, I do think that moving up in weight is a possibility for Casimero as he is struggling to keep his current weight right now plus he is getting older and heavier each year.

Speaking of Casimero, he is in the US right now and already started his training as to not compromise his weight in his fight with Butler. He should maximize the eight weeks to trim those body fats he acquired during vacation.

I think he already talks about moving up in weight in the Inoue fight is not possible. But for sure the Inoue sweepstakes is still in the line for him specially if he wins against Butler.

He is a disciplinarian, so he will trim that weight and be ready at peak performance against Butler.

Maybe he can go to 122 lbs/super bantamweight and face Stephen Fulton the current WBO champ.

^ Yes and I think Casimero understands that, so he took the fight even with a small paycheck because a win here could bring him a lucrative payday against Inoue.
He took the fight because he has no choice, that's the reality.
If he will not fight for this mandatory match, he will have to give up his belt and he will no longer be a champion.

So I don't understand why people says the deserves more in this fight, this is mandatory, so it's under the governing rule of WBO even the purse of $100k. So there's nothing shady about it, just that we are surprised by the amount of money, but in any case still good in the pocket for Casimero.
He deserves a better amount of money to receive, it's just that the bid is too low and no one bids higher than the initial bid so the total pot is just very small. Some mandatory fights I think even have a million-dollar pot or more.

Depends on what promotional company is interested on the fight and the weight class. Because the lower it is (where Casimero campaigns), the lower the purse initially. This could be a million pot if Casimero will fight a name fighter as mandatory, but in this case, we haven't heard Butler name until this time.

Mandatory fights that are worth millions are those probably from 130 lbs and up. Specially in 147 lbs welterweight division, wherein all fights are really good.

Maybe he would consider on taking a step up on weight division if he had done his job on his current division which is the reason why he do really wants to fight Inoue but theres
nothing he can do if the organization would really be setting up those mandatory fights. What matter most here is that he should really win up those possible mandatory matches
that would be thrown or in line up with him specially this upcoming one against Butler.

He deserve more? maybe because he is the current champ, but following you with your statement.

Still good if he keeps winning, interest rate will increase and fans to call for the more big events for him will assure him a good money making

fights, this one is a mandatory coming from WBO where he's currently holding a belt, the organization needs him to comply and let the fans

enjoy watching him against Butler.

Although this fight is unfair to him but yeah this is determinant factor to him since once he win this fight for sure he's rank or morale increase on this fight and also he will be notice by other stronger fighter so Casimero should really work since if he finish this and fight Inoue after that for sure he could be earn more praise and be respected more in his division. I strongly believe that Inoue vs Casimero fight will be buyable knowing they already created a hype for their upcoming fight.

Before this mandatory fight of Casimero to Butler came into picture boxing fans were expecting to see Inoue and Casimero both in the same ring fighting for a title but this fight is an ordered fight though the winning cut for Casimero is unfair but he must need to push this fight and hopefully win because this will be his ticket to have more big fights in future. Either a rematch of Casimero to Donaire or the anticipated fight between Casimero and Inoue will be big enough for him.

Truly unfair knowing that he can lost everything if he lost on this fight so its kinda suicide fight to him that's why he should do his best not to lost so that we can still see him entertaining us by mocking his opponent and create crazy noise on social media  Grin. Anyways as many discuss many point out that they want to see the fight between Inoue so maybe we can see this came true if Casimero win.
It's also possible that the management is doing it for a purpose. Despite being an underdog here, we can't deny the fact that Casimero still has a huge potential. It's just that it's too unfair since he couldn't really choose his opponent. I guess it would be better if he would just take this chance to do better and take this as an opportunity to build a stronger name in the industry.
Unfortunately this is the price they have to pay for being the champion, sometimes they have to hold out fights they do not want just because they are ordered to and it is not as if they can refuse because as we know being the champion allows you to charge more money for the fights so they have no choice but to accept, and this can become a real pain when a boxer has several belts as more than a year could pass before he could select an opponent he wants to face.
Actually, that's normal in boxing, because without these mandatory fights, champions will just choose to fight a fighter that they think they can beat and that they will make a lot of money at the same time, they are getting greedy without the boxing council implementing the rules.

That's correct. Mandatory fights are necessary and not just a boxer can choose whoever he wants to fight. It's part of the mandated terms that a boxer signed up that's why rather than people being pissed off, they should just accept whoever will face their favorite boxer.

That boxer just needs to win regardless of the opponent is preferred or not. Continous win, high rank, more possible to fight at boxers at the top. That also means a big paycheck and a good deal agreement.

There would be always some governing bodies which would really arrange of the fights and just like on what you had example or illustrated on particular condition or situation then they cant really

just have that kind of free choosing of opponent since of course they would really be choosing those weak and able to retain their position on the top.It is really just needing to be organized

no matter what hype is creating around but still there would be those organizations who would be the one will make out decisions.

Did Casimero and Donaire already fight? Not sure about that or maybe just a typo which supposed to be Donaire and Inoue's rematch.

But then again, it's a nice fight if Casimero wins the fight and calls on Inoue's camp attention,
maybe Arum will take on it and build a good noise for

fans to buy the event, more on money if we talk about Arum, once Casimero wins this fight
he will bring more interest to every promoter, he will bring more money on the table and
since Pacquiao already retired, MP promotions will hype him up to make more..

That's why he need to work hard for this fight since if he lost for sure we will not see the fight of Inoue - Casimero since for sure the camp of Inoue will belittle him for losing his past fight, But we know how strong Casimero is and for sure we can see a great fight to him so let see on how he can handle Butler since this fighter is quite good but I think Casimero has more advantage to defeat this guy.

Casimero has everything to lose and really nothing to gain from this fight if he losses this fight, all his chances to get Inoue and Donaire to fight him will go out in the window and he will have to start all over again, I have seen a lot of upsets in the past months the recent one is Mikey's loss to Martin, and this is one fight that I don't want upset to happen, I still believe the Casimero - Inoue fight has the making of a great fight.

Plus we can add that he have pay cuts towards this fight that's why its somehow unfair to him that this obligatory fight happened, that's why in other hand he really need to push his self to win since he has everything to lose once he belittle his opponent.

I also believe in Casimero he's still a lot to offer to us and I do hope that he win this fight since I want to watch him fight agains Donaire or even Inoue.

This upcoming mandatory fight is really a determinant factor for him what will come next to his career. Because if he wins, either he will fight with Inoue or Donaire. But if he will lose, the interest of fighting with Inoue may not come up again. As Inoue may want a different opponent that will give good ticket sales. So Casimero should really prepare for this fight because it is somewhat a reference to his next happenings of his boxing career.

Casimero's future relying on every win that he will add to his belt,
it's true that if he loses from this mandatory fight, the chance of fighting Inoue will be far to happen,

the interest will be diverted to other opponent including Butler who beat Casimero, that kind of news
will spark interest and bring more cash for the ticket sales.

If he want (Casimero) to have a much closer chance fighting Inoue, this mandatory fight
will be the best venue to showcase his skills and attract more pressure to put into Inoue's camp.
