If Garcia's camp will manage to take him in this level, quicker movements and powerful punches, that might catch Davis
and maybe to bring him down and kiss the floor.
All I can think of a chance like that is the first round, that is where Tank Davis receives a lot of punches because he starts slow. Garcia might want to take advantage of that and who knows if he can get a shot where it is weaker.

Yes, Garcia has his height and reached advantages. If he can add more movements and manage to box Davis with his hook as his specialty, we might see an interesting outcome here.

But I believe Davis will also adjust to it. The champ already has that experience knowing how to read the opponent's strategy. He will find ways to break it and still will find the way to control the tempo of the fight.
It's given. Both boxers will probably be ready for the haymakers of their opponents. Davis will probably try to avoid as much of that hook while Garcia avoids all the specialties of Davis. This is why in their press conference, Davis is asking Garcia over and over again. "What else do you have?" "You just have your hook." He explains that every move should be deadly when you are the champion and I agree with him.
You cannot be predictable at title fights and while doing that you also have to be aggressive if you are the challenger. 7 days remaining and we might see one of the biggest fights of the year.

we can only assess the fight after this is over. so we can't judge garcia this early on how he will perform inside the ring. since he is being challenged by davis, he may still have something under his sleeves and let's see if those will come out inside the ring.
garcia knows he is the underdog on this fight. so he may surprise us during the fight.

But yes, just like you mate, we as the avid fans of boxing are hopeful that he already left his old version where he was too vulnerable. Other than that, it's good that a fight like this happened where we can witness two KO specialist sharing a ring because these days, it's almost already rare seeing this type of fight.

He needs to change that strategy if he will continue being predictable with fewer footworks and just trying to land a solid punches,
it will be hard for him knowing Davis is a smart and also a KO specialist.

He needs to move more and try to dance with whatever the music Davis will direct the tempo of the fight, hoping to see the adjustment from him here.

Both are good at throwing solid combinations and with that capabilities we are expecting a KO outcome whoever wins the fight.
And Ryan Garcia should improve his defense because most of his fights are only showcasing how good his punch is but his defense is not that tight as he always leaves his jaw open. That's why Campbell was able to land a good punch on him that almost flip the fight.

But in this instance, we might see a fight that is more on defense rather than throwing volumes even if it's a solid combinations because both camps cannot afford to make mistakes here as that's a risky on their side because the more you throw a punch, the more chances your opponent to give a counter punch which we know that both of their punches are quite lethal.

That's one weak spot of Ryan, he doesn't have a good defense, heck he doesn't even have movement in his feet. All he do what chase his opponent, and tuck his chin with this shoulder roll. But when that chin is exposed for sure Davis might touch that, similar on how Luke Campbell got him in their fight.

So he really needs to work that one out, at least some movement, left and right, otherwise Tank might time him coming inside and put that one punch that will knock him out for good. And it's just about a week, everyone is really hype and excited about and for sure majority have put their bets already.
I recently listen to Ryan Garcia's trainer, Goosen and not sure if they are going to look for more movements. He didn't gave specifics details about their strategy, but I'm hinting that they are training for Ryan to be really swift and fast and powerful in this fight.

So this could be one of their strategies to caught Davis with Ryan fast hand and vicious left hook. He has the height and reach advantage, so for sure he is going to take advantage of it.

Well, I guess that is already expected that anyone on Ryan Garcia's camp will not give any specific details about their preparation as that will spoil the opposite camp and give them an advantage if a specific detail will leak. But I sure do hope that Ryan Garcia's more swifty now because Goosen has said that for years already that they were training Ryan to be more agile but that's not what we saw in his recent fights. He's still open and easy to read by experienced boxer, like Davis.

Too expensive, but it is expected as you say, because this is one of the biggest fight for this year and the network and promotions are taking advantage of the hype to increased the price at $80++. Usually it's below for certain big fights, but not in this magnitude.

Both are very young and at their prime, both has a knockout power and hate each other and wanted to take each other heads off with a single blow. Both have a lot of fans specially Ryan Garcia.

So yeah the hype is there and so it's better to take advantage of that and make a lot of money.

It's true that both fighters need to make money while they can, and since they are both still in their prime, this is an ideal time for them to maximize their earnings. Furthermore, since one of them will no longer be undefeated after the fight, triggering a rematch clause could lead to a potential trilogy of this rivalry.

As for your prediction, it's interesting that you are siding with Ryan Garcia, despite him being the underdog. You believe that he can beat Davis without any problems, which shows confidence in his abilities.

Probably I was caught by the Ryan Garcia hype,  Grin. So for me though, as much as the odds favor Tank by a good margin, still 50/50 for me. I mean just one power punch could turn the fight into Ryan's favor.

Yes, this is really the good time for them to fight and it's good that we are going to see them at their primes and maybe we can talk it in the future how good this fight is and the money that this young boxers earn with this one fight. And it can really change their careers specially whoever wins that fight.
I Cannot deny that there are Many forums that are supporting that García will win, of course also because in the majority where some articles are seen they give Davis the advantage, this is something that is seen, however I am a believer that things here in Boxing all depends on the time of training, for me it is what defines winning a fight, you can have a lot of talent but hard work is something that is difficult to overcome, but that is why I am Gaining a little faith in García,I See many good things About him, even though Tank is a monster.

Gervonta Davis: Ryan Garcia Isn't On My Level Skill Wise

Quote
Seemingly since the beginning of time, Ryan Garcia has claimed that he’s more than capable of sullying the record of Gervonta Davis.

After years of goading, provoking, and antagonizing his man, the 24-year-old former interim lightweight titlist will have the opportunity to put his money where his mouth is. On April 22nd, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, both Garcia and Davis will square off in front of what’s expected to be a sold-out and fired-up crowd.

Winding down.
And Ryan has been ripped already, seen some pictures of him on his social media and definitely ready for this big fight. And probably he is just walking within 140 lbs now and just need to cut to get into the 136 lbs catchweight.

And the below picture is one of them hehe. Yeah, he looked ripped already with barely ten days into the fight and that 136 lbs catchweight is very attainable but with the 10 lbs limit rehydration clause i think he would still look like that picture below, i mean he will only be taller, and not a bigger boxer this time. Davis has done a good job of beating Ryan Garcia outside of the ring. His boss (Oscar) knows well how it is to be only taller but beaten by a faster Manny Pacquaio.

10 days and we will see if how both fighters will talk without a voice inside the ring, they are both expected to be aggressive and wanted to put down / knock down on another, the ringside is the right venue to execute those trash talks that they are throwing from one another, I see a good advantage with Tank as Ryan still needs to lose some weight before the fight.

we will see if being tall but not in a usual form will affect Ryan's movements and fighting capabilities, or it can be a vice versa.

If we based on the pictures, yeah, seems to be that Garcia has no problems making that 136 lbs catchweight. But still depend on how mentality he is ready for this fight. Remember that he had a big mental breakdown before and with this big fight ahead of him, we don't know that status of him inside, nevertheless we all hope that he had recovered already and that he is fine now.

Both of them have public workouts and looks amazing. But only one can be declared the winner. But the true winner will be us, boxing fans, even if we are not fan of either boxer, still good that we can see this kind of fight, two very young and undefeated boxers.

That is the catch, people who have been following Ryan Garcia knew what happened to him after he fought Campbell and they are still confused if Garcia have already recovered from that breakdown because that took him months before he fight again hence why Oscar Dela Hoya was making him cherry picked fights before he lets his cow fight the likes of Davis before even Oscar is not yet that sure if he's already ready.

But yes, just like you mate, we as the avid fans of boxing are hopeful that he already left his old version where he was too vulnerable. Hilarious! Oscar surely knows that he would not forget a fighter that made him retire from boxing. He was even the big favorite in that fight, so what happened was an upset. He has to make sure to apply that lesson to his boxers, so that it will not happen again, hopefully.

We can't compare Oscar fight against Manny though, we all know that Oscar is already way past his prime and can't pull the trigger against and he was weight drain on that fight.

If there will be fight of Oscar on his prime, if will be against him vs Pernell Whitaker (RIP). That time Pernell is one of the best defensive fighter and we can even compare him to Floyd although Pernell is a southpaw.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PisRGWmSa0s

Not way past his prime because if I'm not mistaken, Oscar Dela Hoya was just 35 years old at that time and he I believe that he could have still dominate the division if Manny Pacquiao wasn't around that time. It's just that he met his fate in the hands of the Filipino champion and learned a lesson to retire much earlier before he will be a clown in the industry for being a trophy for the younger ones.

Since we know that both fighters aren't boring, they can choose not to trash talk against each other. However, once they are out in the ring, they cannot control their aggressiveness and eagerness to win. I see this as a big rivalry between two great boxers, and Garcia needs to win here for Davis to activate a rematch that could potentially result in a trilogy.
Yeah it should be, Tank isn't a trash talker, but if someone mess with him, he will trash talking back. Actually Garcia tend to become trash talker due to his high self confident. I think they're not a big rival, but most people just want to see Garcia fight with a tough boxer.

Even Garcia not fight Haney, but Tank should be considered as stronger than him.
I do like Tank because of his realness, I might say that he is a semi humble because he understand the game. I watched a clip regarding Tank and an interviewer where he asked by the inverviewer if he see the Left hook of Ryan Garcia is dangerous or not. I expect that he will become arrogant to say that he will belittle punch of Ryan but I'm surprised he respected his Left Hook and aswered to the interviewer that he knows that it is dangerous. He also said that he cannot measure it fully because he doesn't yet fight Ryan inside the ring. His humbleness makes him a feared opponent, his coach also says that you will regret if you bet against Tank because he is really working hard and he is really strong boxer. Garcia's name is so popular and we all know that he trashtalks very well, his online reputation is the one who always talk but he needs it for him to become more popular. Before I want to bet in Ryan but right now I'm having a doubt because Tank destroyed his previous opponents, Garcia doesn't yet have enough experiences to fight a veteran like Tank Davis but who knows maybe he can pull out something especial that can Knockout tank. I'm so excited to their match, who you got guys?

It won't be a problem! Ryan Garcia's dad tells the rehydration clause won't be an issue for them.
Quote
Henry revealed that Ryan (23-0, 19 KOs) never gains more than nine or ten pounds when he weighs in. So if anything, it won’t be Ryan affected by the rehydration clause.
Source: Ryan Garcia's Dad Addresses Rehydration Clause For Tank Davis Fight - Boxing News 24/7 (https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/ryan-garcias-dad-addresses-rehydration-clause-for-tank-davis-fight/261504)

That's good news for them indeed but I still doubt it won't affect the performance of Ryan Garcia. It's not like he will be fighting a regular boxer, it's the Tank that he will be facing and one mistake could make a big difference while they are facing each other.
Well, it came from them. So that means it's not a handicap and if they lose they cannot reason out this clause that was made before the fight.

I also don't want to give a finality of opinion on this fight as most of the time, it is the preparation that matters once inside the ring.
As both boxers are studying the weaknesses and strengths of each other, they will come up with a good plan or good training plan.
But we will only see if their plans and strategies will work once they are already fighting, because some plans can be scrape if it won't work on their opponent.
Over-all, this fight is gaining hype from boxing fans, so the likelihood of selling out gate tickets would be fast. But for most of us, we can just always wait for the live streaming.
Garcia is stil the underdog on this fight. So that would be a good motivation for him to train harder. The very reason why Davis should not take this fight for granted.

Being an underdog can be used as your motivation as you wanted to prove something, especially in the eyes of the fans. With how they throw trash talks together and you are facing the champ, inside him he really wanted to bring him down and be on top. Let see if how both of them will execute all the plan and preparation inside the ring.

Both can surprise the fans. Even Tank got the favor from the bookies, as he was the champ here, but Garcia can also bring something to upset him if the timing is right.

Garcia probably hasn't felt like an underdog before, as he has been mostly the favorite in his previous fights, if not all. So it's not a big deal to him. He will prove that he deserves bigger respect, and the only way to do that is to beat Tank Davis. Everyone is anticipating this big fight as it is the biggest fight that will happen this year so far.
I guess every fighter will have to go this experienced, become a underdog, but then win the fight. So everyone is on the hands of Ryan Garcia now, even if he is the underdog and for sure he knows this, but he has been clamoring for this fight even before the pandemic and he calls out Tank because he wanted to get the respect by beating him.

So regardless of him being the underdog, doesn't matter for him. In his might this is a winnable fight. By the way he goes to the media and saying that he will knockout Tank Davis.

He always loves to talk, but that's another thing to prove. Even a newcomer can say that they KO any champ, something that we usually hear when there's an upcoming fight. There are many trash talks that will be published to bring the attention of the fans. Two things can happen. Either he will prove those words or it will backfire on him and he will be the one that will going to be KO.

Knowing Davis, he loves playing and he will take the ring as his playground. Anything is possible to happen. Let see how both fighters will showcase their skills and capabilities.
Yes, but Ryan has proven himself that he can back up his trash talking. So we will see, the fight is nearing, he is posting a lot on social media and this two have a lot of interviews as well going on public.

@bbc.reporter - yeah old trick and Alex still fall for it, although he thought that he got Izzy already, boom, two quick punch and it was over.

Not sure who will do that strategy, both loves to fight in the middle. But if there is one, then it should be Ryan staying in the corner and try to time Davis.
