For now as a Boxing fan we need to do is be active in thier announcement because for both fighter trained harder in order to give us a good and clean fight and also before I forgot All I can say about this fight is that, this fight will be a close fight. And we all know that because both fighters are good enough to give us a good fight.  But we don't know yet what happen in the final day do for now setback and relax .

I'm excited about the fight but I am more excited about the process or what's happening before the fight, actually, this fight needs no shills or hype anymore because we know what is at stake and their status in the boxing world but as a boxing fan we love the drama leading to the fight, what's going on and what's happening, what's the expert and the personalities are saying.
It's still a long way before the date of the fight but I'm checking my social media feeds on what's happening in this coming match and I'm sure many are also doing that, hopefully, we'll never read any postponement this is unacceptable and worse for all of us.

Tank Davis also mentioned in interviews that Ryan has earn his place already and he deserved to face him. (Whatever he means by that, it's open for interpreration), maybe moving forward he is going to be selective of his opponents or whoever he wants to face for the money.

Maybe he thinks he is the king and Ryan Garcia is just the top challenger for him. However, that's still underestimating his opponent because despite both being champs, Davis sees himself on a higher level. I hope Ryan Garcia will prove Davis wrong and show him that his current thoughts are incorrect.
There are top challengers are well, we obviously have the champion in Devin Haney. But it seems that this two are really destined to fight each other, for the respect and obviously for the money itself.

So it's time for ticket scalpers again, Lol, for sure there are fans willing to spend that huge money to pay underground even if the price could be x2 as what @bbc.reporter pointed out.

Absolutely mate tank Davis believe himself that he is the king of his division. And without a doubt we can say that it because what we saw his previous matches he proves to us that he is tank Davis the real champion and no one can beat him up. But in this juncture Ryan Garcia bring himself to the ring and want to say that he can defeat Tank Davis even if not in a knockout but at least he will win. And the best question for this is can Tank Davis will win or Ryan Garcia will overtake The tank .

That is the big question for now, but looking at the advantages and chances, surely Tank Davis have those edge because he has faced quite a lot of good boxers already which developed his instincts inside the ring. Nevertheless, Ryan Garcia is still the kind of boxer that is not good to be underestimated with because even if he's not that experienced compared to the champion, his left hook is vicious enough to upset any champions as long as he can cleanly land it. Fortunately, I think Tank Davis is not underestimating his challenger and isn't taking any risks as well that can make him at the disadvantageous side.

Both know the stakes are high in this fight, so there is no underestimating from both camp, for now it's all mind games, trying to get into one skins with trash talking like Davis saying that Ryan doesn't have the mentality to become great or even attacking him with his beef with Canelo. On the other hand, Garcia too went to the extend of telling us the rehydration clause or even verbally abusing Tank on the clothes he were during their initial face-off. So for now we will hear about those kind of trash talking between the two and see who is going to blink first.

On the other hand, they are training very hard for this fight in the background and as we all know, Ryan possesses such a vicious left hook. Why Davis power is un-match in this division.

We will know and conclude that after the game, right now we are all speculating, and we don't know if how both fighters are
preparing for this upcoming event.

Like what you mentioned, Garcia is challenging Davis and he wanted to prove that he can beat the champ.

While in Davis side, he believes that he will bet Garcia and he will remain the best in his division.

^ With the fight hype like this, they would really want a rematch and Golden Boy wants its space for it. I think no matter who wins they will have a rematch. And If I would read between the lines here. They will deliberately set the fight just enough to make it fun and exciting yet also disappointing to consider a rematch.

Haha, you may have a point but i think deliberately making the fight enough to warrant for a rematch is a hard thing to do and we must not forget that Tank Davis' sentencing will be in May and he may be out for a year or more so the rematch would not happen very soon even if Ryan Garcia win the first.

Have not read thoroughly the rehydration clause but i think Tank Davis is simulating the moves of Canelo Alvarez wherein he controlled his opponent's weight when they face in the ring, not a bad move but i think a coward act hehe.

I just think that Davis doesn't want to give any advantage to Garcia simply as that, so he inserted the rehydration clause to make Garcia uncomfortable and indeed if he has problems making the 136 lbs and what more if he wants to rehydrate after the weigh in.

Not sure who is Garcia's nutritionist, but she/he has a lot of things in the plate to ensure Garcia will not have an problem during the weigh in and rehydrate himself just 10 lbs before the fight.
Well, apart from that, a rematch is highly unlikely to happen considering Tank's situation as he has an awaiting sentencing a month after the fight. That said, they will settle this fight once and for all because even if there will a hype, a rematch just cannot be done as soon as possible because of the stated scenario and then, I think there's no rematch clause in this fight.

Hopefully, whoever he or she is, it will be a big task for Ryan's nutritionist because this kind of clause is rare and then it's evident that Ryan is not perfectly suitable at 135 that is why a catchweight bout has been made.

All of these talk sh*t won't matter after they settled everything in the ring, let them fist do the talking. I don't usually watch cocky boxers talk (regardless if he's a mediocre or an elite fighter) in a press con, because they usually don't have anything remarkable to say other than looking down on their opponent.
Well, Davis is one of the good fighters out there so as Ryan, but I won't call them one of the best until their done with their career. It's not gonna just about the records though, but it's all about who your opponents was.

It's already part of the boxing culture though, you either learn how to trash talk in press conferences so that you can bring hype. And it's obvious that this are two American boxers, so they can do all the talking. But let's say some fighters who can't speak fluent English, then they are not going to open their mouth as much as they can and bad mouth their opponents. Manny Pacquiao for one is a good example, and as you have said, maybe fighters trash talk him but usually he got the best of them because he uses his fist.

But it's probably the fighters themselves that we should gave thank to. Although we might call them diva, at least they give themselves a chance to make this fight after years of going into the public and talking about fighting each other.
Yeah, all credits to them for making this happen, finally.
Well, money is included but this will not be an easy fight for both of them. Especially for Tank Davis who will have his belt on the line.
Ryan Garcia though will be super aggressive here. Like you said, the time it took for it to finally materialize, I bet he is gritting his to put his fist on Davis' face.  Cheesy
When a fighter reaches superstar status there's going to be a shift of power, suddenly a fighter will have a say in what direction he wants to go, Canelo, Gervonta, and Pacquiao are some examples of what we call power shifting, their promoter will find themselves listening to what their boxers recommend.
If these two fighters are not on a superstar level their promoters will just impose their will and they will go cherry-picking opponents to protect their cash cow good on their pockets but not on boxers.
Great boxers by nature always go for a legacy fight, because they believe they have to establish their greatness while they are at their peak.
When it comes to divas and superstars cherry-picking their fights I guess the best example would still be the undefeated one. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
That's not how I like boxers to fight. Mostly money first before accomplishments. Well, he is rich now but I don't think he has more fans looking up to him than Manny.

PPV and obviously the live gates where the money will come in, and they are guarantee to have millions already. So yes this could be one of the biggest fights for the year and who knows, could be fight of the year if both of them left their hands go and fight till they take each other's head.

And the hype is already there, all they have to do is create more drama in their face-off, which they did already and that's why the tickets have been sold already. Only contention is the PPV numbers I guess and there are a lot of speculations on how much they will get either in US or worldwide, but I think it will still be big numbers.

If they sell out the arena, they will undoubtedly make a lot of money in ticket sales. Just imagine the price of those tickets

Quote
How much do tickets for Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia cost?
Tickets for Davis vs. Garcia start at $729, per TicketSmarter.

Prices then range from $800, $900, $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,000, $5,000, $6,000, $8,000, $10,000, and $11,731.
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/boxing/news/gervonta-davis-vs-ryan-garcia-ticket-prices-las-vegas/h7dvl5lqvkxbzhtjmjb334lo

Only true boxing fans would be interested in attending the fight in person. While the ticket prices may be expensive, there will undoubtedly be people willing to pay the price to witness these two great boxers face off in the ring.

According to some articles, after the tickets were sold out, there were some buyers who wanted to by them for $29k. This is fight is very much hyped. I wish it will be a very good fight similar to what much of the experts have predicted.

Also, the promoters should rent Las Vegas Raiders' Allegiant stadium, have a big screen and let everyone pay $100 per person to watch the fight hehehe.

In any case, what Tank is telling everyone in this article might become a reality if he gets the victory. Similar storyline for King Ry, I reckon.

Gervonta Davis was at a bold mood this week at the press conference for his blockbuster fight with Ryan Garcia, claiming he has taken Canelo Alvarez’ spot as the biggest star in boxing.

Clearly buoyed by that feat, the Baltimore puncher told attending media that he believes he stands alone as the biggest name in the entire sport.

“I feel as though I’m already that guy in the sport. Canelo is going out the door, all these guys. I’m the face of boxing, let’s just say that.”

After this win, it’s just me getting over the hump. If you don’t watch boxing, this is the fight to watch – for sure.”

Probably he thinks that both of them are in the top of the division although they don't really have the belt since Haney has everything under his waist. But as far as being the biggest crowd drawer in the 135 lbs, yeah, this two are on top.

So props for them to set up this fight when they are still in their prime, not when they are old and the hype are gone already.

Both are hungry and going to put their 0 on the line.

this is the good thing about this fight, both wanted this fight especially for garcia. however, don't know what will happen next if garcia loses to davis. his career may be put on hold and look for other top boxers to fight with.
in any case, i can understand if garcia is the underdog here. most forum users are also rooting for davis to win this fight.

He is still very young though, maybe a lost won't hurt him that much. It might take some time to bounce back though, but if he has that mentality then he can go back to the limelight again. Just like what happen to Teo Lopez when he lost Kambosos, we all know how loud and brandish Teo that time, then suddenly Kambosos took his soul and take all his belt. And it takes Lopez at least a year to go back again and fight. But this time he decided to move up in weight in 140 lbs, won fights and now will be fighting for the belt. So I will assume that Garcia is going up in weight as well, he has been fighting at 140 lbs or close to it before this 136 lbs catch weight with Tank Davis.

^ Probably that is the fact but if Tank Davis sees himself as the king of the division and views Ryan Garcia as just another top challenger. It could be underestimating his opponent could prove to be a fatal mistake, as Ryan Garcia has proven time and time again that he is a force to be reckoned with in the ring. However, we don't know what will happen next and who will win this fight, all I can say is that only time will tell who will emerge victorious in this highly anticipated matchup. Both fighters have a lot to prove, and the outcome of the fight will likely be determined by factors such as strategy, stamina, and overall skill. Regardless of the outcome, it is sure to be an exciting and memorable fight that fans will be talking about for years to come.

...Anyone though was surprised to see Leonard Ellerbe on the background? The guy with that white beard, he is Floyd's CEO and we all know that Davis didn't renew his contract with Floyd. But according to the news, he will be training at Floyd's gym in Las Vegas, so I guess everything is really cool between the two camps despite Davis no longer under Floyd. And I think it is a advantage for Tank, at least he has someone more experience behind him. And who knows, Floyd might drop to his own gym and still mentor Tank because this is the biggest fight of his career, both of them including Ryan. Goosen's training gym is in LA, so most likely Ryan will train there as he is from California.

So looking at boxing's top librarian Boxrec, Mayweather Promotions is part of this event along with GBP (Ryan Garcia's promoter). TGB is probably the lead promoter here since Brown is always in the middle during pictorials and is usually the promoter tabbed by most PBC events.

Tank probably remained a promotional-free agent like Canelo and is free to fight under any promotions. PBC is the real promoter anyways so if Tank has a managerial contract and wants to continue working with Al then he doesn't really need a promotional contract that will take a portion of his events profits.

Yes, it certainly seems like it to me as well because Tom Brown of the TGB Promotions is also mentioned first whenever they advertise this fight while Oscar of the GBP is the co-promoter. And for Tank Davis being a promotional-free agent, he might sign under Al Haymon of the PBC but I'm under the impression that Tank Davis is also looking forward to build his own promotional company as the name GTD Promotions which is also his logo.

He might be routing to that, I mean with such indication it's simply showing that he wanted to have his own promotions, if he
continue his way, winning against Garcia, the chance to bring more hypes under his name.

A very good promotion for his desire next destination. It's no longer new to this sport as we see more legends who use their names to
start their own promotion business.

Moving back, the fight is nearing and for sure we will hear and read more trash talks.

Same here, I think that is also the reason why he severed his ties under Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s promotional banner because Tank is looking forward to make his own banner under his name and initials, GTD as we can always see that whenever there is Tank. Just for the business aspect though because they are still friends and well connected after Tank left the promotion. But in this fight, Tank might halted his plan to launch it because this fight is too big for him too handle especially if it is his first time.
