Tank Davis also mentioned in interviews that Ryan has earn his place already and he deserved to face him. (Whatever he means by that, it's open for interpreration), maybe moving forward he is going to be selective of his opponents or whoever he wants to face for the money.

Maybe he thinks he is the king and Ryan Garcia is just the top challenger for him. However, that's still underestimating his opponent because despite both being champs, Davis sees himself on a higher level. I hope Ryan Garcia will prove Davis wrong and show him that his current thoughts are incorrect.

Probably he thinks that both of them are in the top of the division although they don't really have the belt since Haney has everything under his waist. But as far as being the biggest crowd drawer in the 135 lbs, yeah, this two are on top.

So props for them to set up this fight when they are still in their prime, not when they are old and the hype are gone already.

Both are hungry and going to put their 0 on the line.

...Anyone though was surprised to see Leonard Ellerbe on the background? The guy with that white beard, he is Floyd's CEO and we all know that Davis didn't renew his contract with Floyd. But according to the news, he will be training at Floyd's gym in Las Vegas, so I guess everything is really cool between the two camps despite Davis no longer under Floyd. And I think it is a advantage for Tank, at least he has someone more experience behind him. And who knows, Floyd might drop to his own gym and still mentor Tank because this is the biggest fight of his career, both of them including Ryan. Goosen's training gym is in LA, so most likely Ryan will train there as he is from California.

So looking at boxing's top librarian Boxrec, Mayweather Promotions is part of this event along with GBP (Ryan Garcia's promoter). TGB is probably the lead promoter here since Brown is always in the middle during pictorials and is usually the promoter tabbed by most PBC events.

Tank probably remained a promotional-free agent like Canelo and is free to fight under any promotions. PBC is the real promoter anyways so if Tank has a managerial contract and wants to continue working with Al then he doesn't really need a promotional contract that will take a portion of his events profits.

Yes, it certainly seems like it to me as well because Tom Brown of the TGB Promotions is also mentioned first whenever they advertise this fight while Oscar of the GBP is the co-promoter. And for Tank Davis being a promotional-free agent, he might sign under Al Haymon of the PBC but I'm under the impression that Tank Davis is also looking forward to build his own promotional company as the name GTD Promotions which is also his logo.

He might be routing to that, I mean with such indication it's simply showing that he wanted to have his own promotions, if he
continue his way, winning against Garcia, the chance to bring more hypes under his name.

A very good promotion for his desire next destination. It's no longer new to this sport as we see more legends who use their names to
start their own promotion business.

Moving back, the fight is nearing and for sure we will hear and read more trash talks.

Still a good move from Davis, if he was able to maintain a good relationship still with Floyd and others personalities, he needed their influence and probably the top adviser as well while negotiating this fight.

That seems to be the case between Floyd between Tank Davis, I believe there wasn't any misunderstanding in the first place because the latter respected Floyd and certainly wouldn't do such thing to give the opposite remarks to his former-promoter, it was just the people who are creating such speculations that Davis and Floyd is not in good terms after Davis left the promotional company, and it's still a business after all, so Floyd would surely understand.

Floyd promotion is still on good terms with Tank but they are not on good terms with the Golden Boy promotion so they may be helping out Tank to beat Garcia, of course between the two Floyd wants Tank to beat Ryan because Tank comes from his mentorship and he needs to show that they are the better training ground for champions and besides Floyd only have nice words for Tank.

Tank I love you, we talk everyday keep with the great work, I'm proud of you."

Over 660 replies on this thread, I expect this to increase and why not this is the biggest fight this year and everybody is excited and we all want opinions, we have different opinions when two great fighters are colliding and a big factor is they hate each other.

And it's probably one of the biggest fight for this year, revenue wise, as both are in their primes and really hating each other. And who wouldn't what to be on the bandwagon? GBP, Mayweather promotions and anyone who want to make money out of this fight for sure are on board with this one.

But it's probably the fighters themselves that we should gave thank to. Although we might call them diva, at least they give themselves a chance to make this fight after years of going into the public and talking about fighting each other.

Probably this is the case, both of them made big money, and there are no bad blood or whatsoever between Tank and Floyd, he even says that Tank is free now and congratulate him. And Tank is more familiar with the gym and that's where the fight is going to held so no more adjustment in the side of Tank now. And it also seems that Ryan has move on already from Reynoso, Goosen and him had struck a relationship as well as they have been training way before Ryan move to Eddy Reynoso.

Well, this is going to be the biggest fight of the year as the PPV sales are sold in just five minutes, it's worth the hype and many years of wait I don't have the figure yet I saw this drop in my social media feed, what I'm sure of is it will surpasses all the other PPV before the fight happens, we will see many more videos of thrash talks because I doubt this two will stop, because the hatred and the dislike are real.

That was really expected considering these two are currently at their prime time and currently at their very best without injury the fight is also hard to predict because they are both capable of surprising their opponent with their fast and huge power punches. I wonder where else they could get money aside from PPV in this fight? is this the fullest money they can make when they sold it out?

PPV sales are sold in just five minutes? I really doubt that because the Garcia-Davis fight haven't released their PPVs yet as they are still on the ticket price right now, also, why would PPVs get sold out? There are unlimited numbers for that certain thing and it's not really limited as like the tickets because the seats are numbered compared to the PPVs which almost every household can subscribe about it as long as they got the money for it.

Its' not PPV (Pay Per View), it's the tickets for the live gates, meaning it's in the venue themselves. And we all know that there are price ranges. The closer you are (VIP tickets) to the boxing ring itself, the more the tickets become expensive. And in this fight, there could be celebrities, stars, athletes, boxers themselves or anyone that is rich that can afford that can of amount.

As for the PPV, we may later know the numbers once Nielsen Media Television Ratings or even the promoters themselves. There could be some small discrepancies in numbers though, but it will be close enough to come up with a good enough numbers based on the data.

PPV price may be decent enough just like how decent the price ranges of the tickets for this fight considering that it can be called as a mega-fight that claimed another history in T-Mobile Arena, still $20 higher for the new subscriber just like the other fights. The tickets now are just higher than expected resale value because there are some bigtime business magnates that are working behind the scenes which resulted into a sold-out tickets in just mere 5 minutes.

Yes, surely that is not the PPV of the fight which got sold-out in just mere 5 minutes from it was released. It was the tickets for the fight and in-fact, it is the most fastest tickets that has been sold out in the entire T-Mobile Arena history. Imagine that, an arena which got 20,000 seats just got sold-out in just mere 5 minutes. That is truly fascinating!

I just wanna share some news regarding about the tickets because the people who managed to get themselves a lot of those tickets are now reselling it for an outrageous prices:
“A Poor Man Sport but Only Rich People Can Afford It”: $49,000 Resale Tickets for Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia Sends Shockwaves Through Boxing World

that's the very reason why the tickets got sold out in few minutes as there are whales behind it. and those whales are becoming bigger because they can sell their tickets at overwhelming price. some will take the expensive price if they have no more choice just to watch the fight. but of course, if you have no budget, you can very well watch via PPV or free live streaming or better yet, wait for the re-play of the fight.

That is pretty much expected for a fight with a magnitude like this and I cannot really believe that the tickets will get sold like that, but if that happens in 1-2 days might be believable and that all people who bought it are also the ones who will use it in the actual fight schedule. Quite funny for me because these people are now selling it in a much higher price. Well, I cannot blame them because it's all about business and those who got big pockets got some advantage over these tickets and of course, kudos to GBP for making a fight like this.

PPV and obviously the live gates where the money will come in, and they are guarantee to have millions already. So yes this could be one of the biggest fights for the year and who knows, could be fight of the year if both of them left their hands go and fight till they take each other's head.

And the hype is already there, all they have to do is create more drama in their face-off, which they did already and that's why the tickets have been sold already. Only contention is the PPV numbers I guess and there are a lot of speculations on how much they will get either in US or worldwide, but I think it will still be big numbers.

If they sell out the arena, they will undoubtedly make a lot of money in ticket sales. Just imagine the price of those tickets

Quote
How much do tickets for Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia cost?
Tickets for Davis vs. Garcia start at $729, per TicketSmarter.

Prices then range from $800, $900, $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,000, $5,000, $6,000, $8,000, $10,000, and $11,731.
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/boxing/news/gervonta-davis-vs-ryan-garcia-ticket-prices-las-vegas/h7dvl5lqvkxbzhtjmjb334lo

Only true boxing fans would be interested in attending the fight in person. While the ticket prices may be expensive, there will undoubtedly be people willing to pay the price to witness these two great boxers face off in the ring.
IMO, those digits stated above are much more expensive compared to the Mayweather vs McGregor fight with just a starting price of $500.

Anyway, these tickets are somehow normal for a fight with a magnitude like this and the fact that it has been marinated throughout the years makes organizers job much easier as they know that it would sell-out in just maybe few couple of days after they publish it to the public, give or take 10 days. It might be expensive for some but yes, if you are an avid fan, you surely don't want to let this slide.

I assume that should be the mid price or the lowest price?

Because I see thousands of dollars with a good place around the arena.

But it's true, they are on their way to make a lot of tickets with the tickets sales and then the PPV numbers. So it's enough to cover maybe $10 million mininum payment for the A-side of this fight. Maybe it was Davis, maybe it was split 50/50, we shall see after the fight on who's got the most money out of it, or how much each one is projected to received.

Honestly, I believe if it were not Ryan Garcia who is going to fight Tank Davis, it would not result in such huge ticket sales. Though we may believe that Tank Davis has better PPV numbers and live game sales from his previous fights, let's admit it, it was Ryan Garcia's continuous trash-talking on social media that has leveled up the hype of this fight, resulting in successful sales.

^^ Usually the numbers are not going to be reveal in public after the fight. But if it is sold out by this time then obviously that's already a guarantee that this fighters will received a lot of money already. And for those networks and the venue itself, it's also a win-win, testament that this two has that power to bring fans to their seats and watch them fight. And I know that the price is very expensive, but then again, who wouldn't want to missed this big fights, two prime boxers and at the height of their career and both are undefeated.
