Thanks again for those boxing fans who made this thread alive before the actual fight. In summary, Tim Tszyu beat Tony Harrison in the 9th round.

Now we are expecting that Tim Tszyu will fight Jermell Charlo in the US sometime this year as Charlo is in the process of healing his injuries. And with this win by Tim, there's no doubt that he deserves a crack against the champion. So we will see in the future, Charlo says that he is going to be ready and that Harrison is never been the same after he beat him. Nevertheless, I will say impressive win by Tim Tszyu.

Winding down.

Again, maybe he don't want to evade that shots of Harrison as he pushes inside as he want to put Tony in a bad position and he did in round 9, those uppercuts are on the money and Harrison can't response to that barrage of punch and the referee knows it.

That multiple uppercuts really hurt him and also lose his defense against those power punches. Tim was from another level and he just couldn't take his punches throughout the round which causes him to lose that fight. Steal undefeated and ready for another strong opponent, I think he is really ready for a championship bout this time because he actually beat Tony easily here. Though it reaches 9 rounds, they planned it and it worked well for him.

It was a one-sided fight even before the fight commenced, Tim was just a different boxer in-front of Tony and the fact that he can't shake those punches off of him makes him so vulnerable at most times when he is taking punishments again, round to round. Looking at the scores of that fight, the outcome would be a unanimous decision in Tim's favor.

Now that Tim holds the WBO interim belt, I surely hope that he can get the chance to fight Jermell Charlo. Although I got this feeling that he will fight with Magomed Kurbanov first while Charlo waits for the mandatory defense fight.

He was supposed to face Charlo, but the news came up that he would have a new opponent. Probably, this fight is just a tune-up fight for him, and with this big win, I believe he will be ready to fight Charlo in his next bout. I'm impressed that he could absorb the shots from Harrison; perhaps Tszyu has a solid chin. So, I would not be surprised if he could go toe-to-toe against Charlo.

Charlo will now know what to expect from Tszyu when they fought, he has a good chin and a good body and like his father, he loves to slug it out and loves to engage, something Charlo will be prepared for when they fought, Tszyu's condition is very good and he shows how hungry he is and his eagerness to duplicate his father's feat.
Right now he is still known as Kostya Tszyu's son but after he beat Charlo I'm sure he will be known and he will carve his own identity as Tim Tszyu.

Congratulations to Tim Tszyu for a well-deserved win, Tim Tszyu just prove that he is not afraid to take a hit to get a hit, he breaks down Tony Harrison with his jabs, body, and head punches this is a good preparation for the Charlo fight, he is popular in Australia before the fight but after this fight, the boxing world now knows him and he will become even popular if he beats Charlo for his next fight.
That's what I saw in this fight too. Tszyu was not afraid to get hit, probably because he did not respect the power of his opponent. It was his power shots that eventually knocked out his opponent. Although I knew from the beginning that Tszyu was heavily favored to win, I also noticed a weakness in him, which was that he wasn't quick enough to evade his opponent's punches. Anyway, congratulations to him.

True, he went toe to toe, maybe he has seize up the power of Harrison early and knows that he can't hurt him that much so he decided to be the aggressor per round and as it goes on, Harrison tires, misses a lot of shots.

Again, maybe he don't want to evade that shots of Harrison as he pushes inside as he want to put Tony in a bad position and he did in round 9, those uppercuts are on the money and Harrison can't response to that barrage of punch and the referee knows it.

I hope that's the strategy he is pursuing. I don't want him to be careless against a better fighter. Perhaps he accepted the punches from Harrison because he can take them, but eventually, Harrison's power shots overwhelmed him. It would be a great strategy if that is indeed his plan, and maybe next time, facing a different opponent, he will have a different approach to avoid receiving too many power shots.

By the odds though, it seems that Tim Tszyu is going to win this fight. But I was surprised on how Tim was really in this fight, I mean yes early on it was a close fight but he slowly gain the momentum and even fight the fight of Harrison, in the inside and he was hit with that job but we have able to overcome it. So it's a A+ performance for him in front of his fans in his home turf. And with this, it's a good tune up fight for him. And the numbers don't like as he hit Harrison with 45% of his power punches, the score on the judges though at the time of stoppage in round 9, Tim leads all the judges 77-75. And he clearly sends his message to Charlo in this win.

Good tune-up fight indeed for Tim before facing Charlo. Have not seen the odds for this fight but i assumed that Tim was the favorite, seeing the fight highlight, it's a close one before Tim deliver those punishing bombs that finished Tony Harrison in the ninth round. The volume of punches was too much for Tony to handle, that's the factor and him taking that 45% of Tim's power punches that KO is inevitable.

Sooner or later, Harrison will really felt the power of Tim and I have the speculation that the weather really affected him in Australia, but that is not an a excuse the better fighter won.

I hope that promoters will now start negotiating for that Charlo vs Tszyu championship fight as it is what the fans wanted to see in the near future.

I think the contract is still in, and if Charlo backs out of this fight, it will be a clear duck and so it will affect his reputation.

The best weapon of Harrison is just the jab, and then Tim has a way to respond, looping right now and just moving his head left and right. So he take 1 shot in the face, but he then threw 1-2 punch in return and it was all power behind that. So perhaps he is willing to get hit, just to dish out his own punishment. But I guess it will be a different strategy against Charlo as obviously, he has more power, so Tim's chin will be tested and see if it can hold up to Charlo's power.

It's an ugly fight, but Tim shows his heart in this one, Harrison only weapon in fight fight is jab and early on he was hitting Tim with a perfect time jab but Tim always have answer to that. Either shot to the body or right hand.

Yes, this is a good test for him, the rough and stubborn fighter in Tony shows here and this could be a very good experience for Tim because Charlo will be obviously a tougher opponent. Kudos to Harrison for showing in this fight in Australia. I think with more focus training, he can still fight the best of 154 lbs and give a run for their money.

Good win by Tim Tszyu, really established himself to be the mandatory for Charlo, as he beat the man who beat the main in Tony Harrison. As others have been speculated, this could be a good test for the young Tim, and he did play smart in this fight and stop Harrison in 9th round.

So now, we are all waiting for Charlo to heal him same with Tim.

And with this win, Tim's confidence will skyrocket for sure and eager to fight Charlo for the undisputed 154 belt.

This is a really a good test for Tim because Harrison is very good and durable opponent who gave Charlo his only lost so far. Right, win-win situation for Harrison as well, if he wins then maybe he will be the mandatory for Charlo again.

This fight is a challenge for both fighters, as the winner will have the opportunity to fight Charlo. While Tim Tszyu is a slight favorite, I wouldn't be too convinced that he will win easily. The winner of this fight will surely be deserving of the opportunity to fight the champion.

It would be very entertaining to watch a knockout in this fight. With Tony Harrison having 21 knockout wins from 29 fights, he is definitely not a boring fighter and has a high KO percentage.
I guess we’ll gonna witness a good and challenging fight here. Tim and Tony are both hard punchers, but I am rooting more for Tony as he is certainly an obvious knockout master so let’s see as to how this fight will end, or it will be another remarkable knockout game by Tony. However, Tim on the other hand has also an impressive boxing record so definitely, Tim is never an easy fighter too.

Looking at their previous fights with Tony, he showed aggressive strength in the ring which Tim should be ready about. He always throws solid punches and makes sure he won't miss hitting his opponents and I guess he is also preparing well for this match. I don't mean to underestimate Tim but Tony will surely be a big challenge to him so he should also try to catch the weak spots of Tony.
Three days to go the awaited fight will come and we see a very close fight the undefeated Tim tszyu fight against veteran boxer tony Harrison which is I know that this is gonna be a good fight Tim need to prevent tony defeat him because he is undefeated now and he need to do his best in this fight to ends up the winner. While in the other hand tony wants to break the record of Tim which its a big achievement if tony break the records Tim.

This means that it's hard to predict who will win between these two boxers. However, based on the latest betting odds, Tszyu is a heavy favorite with 1.35, while Harrison has 3.15. Therefore, it will be a huge upset if Harrison wins this fight.

Public workouts of the two:

Tim Tszyu - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqwncBgjlpw
Tony Harrison - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctU9Q-DKDSs

It's really hot out there in Australia, it's good that he come up early in Australia to familiarized himself, but I think it will still affect him. Of course, both are enjoying their public workouts, there are fans out there to watch so it's good to see that. And this is so far the biggest test for Tim Tszyu and we really see how good he is, or just pure hype if ever Harrison pulls an upset.

This will be a tough fight for both fighters. While Tim is still considered undefeated through all his performances, but I would say beating Tony is never easy and from his high KO percentage, it would be a big challenge for Tim to beat Tony, which it could be the other way around since Tony is also a very dangerous opponent and that fighting with him involves a massive risk. So let’s see then who will come out undefeated days from now.
