Ok, it's finally official, Tim Tszyu will be fighting Tony Harrison. Yes, he was the man who beat Charlo in their first fight, it's a bit controversial, scores were 115-113, 116-112 and 115-113. But in the rematch, he scored a knockout win against Tony to close their story line, and Charlo didn't give Harrison the time and doesn't want it to leave to the judges scorecard. The fight will be interestingly enough going to be in Australia, March 12 on a location yet to be determine.

BoxingScene.com has confirmed that plans are in place for Tszyu and Harrison to meet in a fight that will come with the interim WBO junior middleweight at stake. The bout will take place on March 12 at a location to be determined in Australia. The show will be presented early enough locally to where it will air live during primetime on Saturday, March 11 in the United States, likely on Showtime.

Live with peace and enjoy life!
So this could really be a close fight and will be a battle of strategy and who will adjust.

I'm hoping that way because Tim Tszyu deserves to be recognized, Charlo is very popular already, just like his brother but I see he already found a good rival and that is Tim Tszyu. Though looking at the betting odds we might be disappointed if we are backing Tim Tszyu to win because he is the underdog, but let's view it on a positive way as that could mean more money if we win.
Well, it’s not that bad to bet on Tim Tsyzu because his boxing record is quite impressive too as he has 21 all won fights and no record of losses. He might be the underdog in this game but he can actually end as undefeated if he will give his best and improve his craft in boxing, even better than the performance shown by Charlo in his past games. Well, both have their hidden gems in boxing so definitely a must watch again.

If Tim doesn't want a easy fight then yes, he can go after Harrison, but this time Harrison doesn't need to travel to Australia, they can fight stateside. But that is still up to them, again it's a high risk low reward for Tim and probably will like someone outside of the top 5 fighters so that there will be no derail on his fight against Charlo. Because if Harrison defeats him, then most likely the fight will Charlo will not have the safe effect obviously and it might not do good in the PPV as fans is not going to be interested anymore.

Just like what you've said, it's a high risk with low reward for Tim and I seriously don't think he will accept this fight and fight Harrison because of that. He surely knows his value now, so a bad move will certainly get him back to the ground. He's already near in sitting at the peak of super welterweight, almost there, fighting Harrison is definitely not worth. A delay is much better rather than taking this risk.

His team is on dilemma right now, but more likely they will settle for a fight instead of waiting. But not the fighter that will give them a threat like Harrison and yes, it's a high risk very low reward for Tszyu.

Sebastian Fundora is also not a good pick, he has the other belt but Charlo holds the regular WBC, so the risk is also there.

The logical choice maybe fighters rank in the 6-10 rankings, no name and again, just for a tune up fight for Tszyu.

And as expected, Tszyu can't wait for Charlo to recover, he want's to have a get busy fight and so they are shopping around for fighters to fill that January 28 schedule according to his manager,

Quote
“Just a quick update as to where to from here, since Charlo injury postponed Jan. 28 undisputed title (fight),” Jennings announced on Monday. “Team Tszyu will continue on in camp USA whilst (promoter) Matt Rose and I are working to find a replacement fight for Tim to keep busy.

https://www.boxingscene.com/team-tszyu-tim-fighter-he-wants-fight-waiting-charlo-recovery-not-an-option--171448

So that is the latest update, and let's see who is willing to step up to fight him, although I see a lot of names being suggested here. It's a good name to begin with, but maybe team Tszyu might be looking for someone that is less riskier because this is just a tune up fight that they might be looking so no serious threat, just to say the least. Hopefully they can find a replacement fighter in short notice.

Well, the only man to have beaten Jermell wants to fight Tszyu, this is good and if Tim accepts the deal he'll have good preparation, Harrison is a good option I don't think Harrison is a tune-up fight, it's a risky fight for him that might derail his fight against Charlo and for challenging for the title, but if he is that brave and confident he will likely take this fight.

Tony Harrison Willing To Fill In For Injured Jermell Charlo Against Tim Tszyu

Quote
“I’ll fill in for Charlo so he ain’t gotta go on another 6-month layoff,” said Harrison on his social media account.

Ironically enough, both Harrison and Tszyu have openly embraced the idea of facing off against one another. To add to his audacious attitude, Harrison has continually stated that if a showdown between himself and Tszyu can become a reality, he would enjoy making the trip to Australia, Tszyu’s hometown.

Oh that's too bad specially for Tim who has been training very hard in the US right now if I'm not mistaken, away from his family.

But if Charlo is really injured, then he just have to wait then, or maybe take a tune up fight in between that to keep him active for the time being. Because it seems that the injury will obviously be taken care of, healed without any issues before the doctor will allow him to box again.

Charlo though still boastful when he knows he can't fight, telling us that the can beat Tim with just one hand? Lol, that's ridiculous and I don't think he can do that.

He should remain quiet though until everything is ok with him and resume the fight.

Tim has a lot of reasons to be disappointed this is a championship fight and he is fighting on the 28th anniversary of his father's debut in the US, but things like this happen, I believe the injury is real and the fight should not proceed we have seen the repercussion if there's an injury on one fighter but decided to push with the fight, it happens on Loma and Pacquiao and I guess Charlo knows the consequences if he proceeds to fight Tszyu who is considered a very tough fighter.
Guess we'll just have to wait for a few months Tszyu can opt to have a tune fight, but it's better to wait for Charlo.

Tszyu can be frustrated but nothing to blame here.  Jermell Charlo doesn't want to suffer such an injury, it is a hindrance to his daily activity let alone I believe Charlo is also looking for that match on Jan. 28 due to the income and profits the match promised which slipped in his hand due to injury.  If the injury does not happen and the fight commences, he could have another fight in three to four months.  So it is also a loss for Charlo being injured.

Yes, there is nothing to blame, this is just an accident that both doesn't want to happen, specially Jermell Charlo who is training very hard perhaps that he throws so much power that his hands can't handle that.

Nevertheless, as I have said, there are fighters who's willing to step up, and it's good for Tim, shake his strength on whoever will they pick to replace Charlo. And he can still earn that money although obviously, it's not going to be that big as compare to fighting Jermell, but still going to be worth for him instead of just sitting it out through the rest of the year.

I think that is the best option for him and his team, they have been camping in the US for months now and they don't want to shelved everything out of the window just because Jermell Charlo is not available anymore.

So the best thing is to look for boxers that is willing to take Tim, probably his very best version, go on and win this fight against this boxer, take a rest for a while and then grind it hard again whenever Charlo is available.

Charlo is considered as favourite and he will be defending his undefeated record, so he will have more motivation. He is known to be a fierce opponent, and he is sure not going to make things easy for Tszyu. On the other hand, the underdog is looking to get an advantage in this fight, so a defeat is out of the question. All in all, I expect to see a tight fight with no K.O. where Charlo may come out with the upper hand.

Read the post about you mate, he injured his hands in practice, broke it and it might take some time to heal.

Well shit happen for Jermell Charlo, looks like the injury would be quite long to be fully recovered, maybe it take a year. I think Tim Tszyu could challenge Sebastian Fundora since he has WBC interim belt, so he could test his skill before fight with the undisputed champion. I'm curious with Charlo performance after this injury, because some athlete that suffer serious injury usually doesn't really sharp again.

Yeah, why not take Fundora for the meantime get the interim belt and so he has leverage now for a Charlo match if ever they can still push it later this year. And it will be an advantage to him because it could be mental for Charlo moving forward, perhaps the injury will be in his mind when he throws that left.

Tim will have to look for a dance partner, either Fundora or Harrison to keep him active and sharp as well.

The fight will not push, better hold your prediction for the next two months Jermell suffered an injury and there will be a delay in the fight, it's good that Charlo is honest about his condition, some boxers hide it because the contract has been signed and the tickets are sold, but the fighter's condition should be the main concern, or we will see a lackluster performance of Charlo.
Whatever time it takes it's better to see two well-conditioned boxers inside the ring.

Yes, you can add Russell Jr, when he had a shoulder injury and losses to Mark Magsayo. I also believed that Charlo is not faking it, but we can't blame Tim for asking for proofs coming from the doctors telling us that indeed his hand had break. Take note though that if a fighter broke his hand in several pieces, tendency is that it will reoccur just saying.

True, I guess we will just have to wait, although one name has pop up as a potential replacement, and that is Tony Harrison, who deal Charlo his first defeat.

Although Tszyu question whether Charlo's injury is true, there has been pictures of Jermell already in the social media,

https://twitter.com/Boxingego/status/1607209783890788354

No doubt, it seems that his injury is real and that fight is already in January 2023. We are happy that it's going to be a banger at the start of the year, unfortunately, this boxers are also prone to hand injuries even at sparring and training.

Unfortunately, this fight is postponed because Charlo has suffered a broken hand. He got this injuries during, left hand to be exact, broken in 2 pieces.

Undisputed Super Welterweight World Champion Jermell Charlo suffered a broken left hand in training and his much-anticipated, high-stakes defense against No. 1 contender Tim Tszyu, which was scheduled for January 28, has been postponed.

Charlo broke his left hand in two places – between the pinkie and ring finger and at the base of the thumb – after landing a punch in sparring at his gym in Houston on Tuesday. After visiting two doctors and a hand specialist in Houston, his hand has been placed in a cast. It will remain in a cast for two months and after it is removed, he will begin rehabilitation before resuming his training.

So it was reported that Charlo will have to cast it for 2 months and then before he can resume training, dang, not sure when this fight is going to be scheduled. And we have to wait maybe this the second quarter of next year.

There is always some reason why the Charlo brothers are pulling out of fights or remaining inactive. They like to run their mouth talking about Canelo and Crawford but they are not really accomplishing anything in their own careers and we will be left waiting to see them in those big super fights. Jermell might be an undisputed champion but the names on his resume are really unimpressive and that's why you will not find him on most pound for pound lists.
