What a way to start the year by having two tough fighters I consider both fighters undefeated Charlo's loss was a fluke he is still one of the most dominating fighters in his division, but Tszyu is capable to wrest the title I have seen Tszyu fight on Youtube one of this is a knockout win against Jeff Horn his fighting style is very much similar to his father, my heart goes to Tszyu but I feel that Charlo has everything to keep the title, he is a more experienced fighter and have fought big names already.

Obviously, this bout is not any other champion vs the underdog fight because we all know that Tszyu can actually turn the table once he feels that he can take Charlo's punches. it just seems like they might gonna give us a more exciting fight than Crawford's next fight. Anyway, I think most of the spectators have already assumed that this fight will be easy for Charlo cause he was already able to overcome most fights like this but he needs to consider not slacking off because Tim can actually knock him out.

Ah yeah, I think compare to Crawford next fight, I think this is more exciting. Nothing against Crawford picking up Avanesyan, but he is a unknown fighter for us.

As compare to Tim Tszyu, who's father is a legend in boxing and has to work his way up to challenge Charlo at 154 lbs.

So we will have to see, Tim is known for his durability, although I'm not counting him as a knock out artist, but he can still deliver a win thru the old and traditional way of hard grind in the full 12 rounds.

12 rounds of the fight would be great, hopefully, we will see a toe to toe fight as these fighters are known to be aggressive. At the opening of the year, we will see a firework, and although most of us think that Jermell Charlo will win but please let us not underestimate Tim Tszyu because he has a heart of a champion.

Just let them be mate, we cannot stop them if they are already inclined to see Jermell Charlo winning. The important thing is that we know that this won't be an easy fight for Charlo and that's what makes it interesting because Tim here, the challenger, is tough enough to test the reigning undisputed champion. KO is not that likely for the both sides, UD or SD will be the nearest possible scenario. So this will be a close tough fight to see.

Ok, as per Stake, this is the odds:

Charlo - 1.30
Tszyu - 3.40

So as we can see Tim is a huge underdog, and this could be a good bet for those who love underdog and of course, Tszyu's fans around this community. Charlo has the advantage as far as power is concern, but who knows, Tim could have the bigger heart in this fight and will used his aggressive against Jermell to make this a good fight at the start of the year for us boxing fans.
Charlo jas just more fights than Tszyu which might created this impression by many people. There is a huge difference between their records, and if that's the reason of some on siding with Charlo, I think that won't be a reliable or valid reason. Tszyu Had a good start on his career and this young man could still give more than his previous fights so I guess chances are still not clear. If More likely Charlo would be the aggressive one in this match up and if ever Tszyu will have a good distance  while maintaining his usual speed, then I guess he could still do this one. Anyway I would also love to wait for Spence vs  Charlo if ever their plan of meeting on a particular weight range would be evident .

Not just the record, but Charlo but the level of opposition that Charlo has faces as compare to Tim Tszyu. Although I would say that Time is dangerous ad Charlo can't take this fight lightly as Tim might surprised him early and may caught him up with good punches.

We will have to see about Spence vs Charlo, Spence will have to fight Thurman first before we can talk about him moving to 154 lbs.

Or who knows, maybe him and Crawford will square it out for next year (but that is a big question mark).

Tim is a huge underdog in this fight. This is the first time he is facing such experienced opponent. Dont know, maybe he should have one more intermediate fight before he is testing himself in a title fight. He could have ask for an advice from his father, but his father is not involved into Tim's careers, as Tim said that he wants to achieve everything himself (like his dad). He says that if father is involved, then everyone would think that he has achieved everything only with fathers help. I think Charlo gonna win by UD here, he is more matured, had better opponents.

Jermell may have a lot of experienced but Tim is capable and ready for a big fight like this I have seen him knocking out fighters with one punch and dominating every situation his opponents bring out, if you want to see how good Tim is check out this video
Tim Tszyu Highlights and Knockouts 2022
he might pull a huge upset here the match is still three months, I'm sure the build-up leading to this fight will be hot.

Experience and IQ are the only edge for Charlo here and if he will be going to win this fight then I bet it would be unanimous decision and certainly not a knockout or stoppage because he's not that kind of boxer. But Tim here is quite good, pretty record and impressive knockout ratio, which I bet it will be a good match to see as Charlo here will get tested if he's still worth it to be called as the undisputed champion in 154 lbs. Not overrating the challenger but it is what it is.

I think that was his break out win, against his fellow Australian and for all the reasons, he could have sent Jeff into retirement with that lost from Tim. So definitely Tim might be the new face but he will be on a rude awakening against Charlo. Jermell has power as well no doubt about it. And Tim has a good chin, but against Jermell, he will be tested if not only his chin, but in his mind as well. He need to believed that he can pull an upset here as he will be a underdog in this fight and for sure it will be in a hostile environment. Recently we've seen George Kambosos lost the belt and the rematch. So Australian boxing fans need something again.

Good thing that this match has come to a fruition. Tim Tszyu deserve this fight as he patiently working hard to reached this far but i do think that this is one hell of a fight for him because experience-wise, Jermell has the advantage and he also got the power to intimidate the son of the legend.

Have voted Jermell to win by decision because i think the former won't go all out at first as he might be hit with the lucky punch that may slowed him down like in the Castano fight.

If Spence and Crawford will move this division i think both won't be the run-away favorite anymore like in the welterweight division because these guys (Jermell and Tszyu) can offer them good resistance.

Yes, last time I checked, Tim is 3:1 underdog in this fight, not as bad as I thought initially, but yeah, since this is the champion that he is going to face, Charlo has all the advantage as far as experience goes.

Dont know, maybe he should have one more intermediate fight before he is testing himself in a title fight. Tim is rank #2 - WBC
#3 - IBF
#2 - WBO

He is unrank though by WBA. But it doesn't matter, he has gain the respect of several organizations that he is on the top of the list for mandatory for their champion Charlo. So I guess he deserves it from the get go to become the next challenger for the belt.

Thanks for a reminder. I am looking forward looking this fight. This is a great chance for Tim to get his first serious title. Tim is in perfect age to become a champion. I am a fan of his father and watch interviews with him from time to time. Kotsya said that from his view, his son is ready for a title shot. As well as Tim wants that fight badly, as his goal was to at least be close to fame his father has.

I think this is going to be one of the most exciting matches I'm looking forward to.
I hope Tim will be in top condition after recovering from his hand injury.
This will be the toughest fight for Tim because Charlo is certainly not an easy opponent to beat.
Although there are many who favor Charlo here, but I hope that Tim can maximize in the match against Charlo.
Tim is indeed a worthy opponent for Charlo in my opinion, we'll see if Tim can prove whether he deserves the title.
I have faith that Tim will be bigger than his father.

Well the opportunity is knocking and so he might as well take this chances. And I think he deserves to be the mandatory challenger for Charlo. Although I would agree that if we look at Tim's record, I would say that most of them are B level fighters. It's good that he wanted to achieved it the hard way and not being influence by his father, and so this is his chance now to show if he has the tools to defeat Charlo in their fight to create an upset in the division.

So this fight is really good for him to test his skills as a boxer, he is the mandatory challenger now and could win a belt if he beat Charlo. This fight is going to be entertaining as they are evenly matched although bookies sees Charlo as a heavy favorite.

Yes, his father was one of the greats that era, was underrated but very good boxer in his prime. And hopefully his son will be like that, but his first step is against the champion Jermell Charlo.

So if Tim wants this bady then I do hope that he is very well prepared because Charlo has been beating all his opponents and defending his belt for quite sometime now. Just good to see a father and son win a title in boxing and this could be another record for Australian boxing.

Tim Tszyu is a tough fighter but Jermell Charlo has faced a lot of tough fighters one of these tough fights is the Harrison fight, Tim deserves this fight because he is the mandatory challenger I have to dig deep to see who got the upper hand as both fighters
are capable of pulling a knockout or a decision, Tim's toughest fight was the Horn fight, we will know in this fight if he will follow in the footstep of his father, who is considered one of Australia's great fighters.

Great fight for him, Tim Tszyu is surely gonna give him a tough match.
By the way, the opening betting odds are;

Quote
Boxing odds are live for Jermell Charlo -310 vs Tim Tszyu +220.
https://bettinginsiderjournal.com/boxing/charlo-vs-tszyu-odds/

I would say that Charlo is just a slight favorite, so I think bookies really respect Tim Tszyu for being a tough challenger. Big fireworks at the start of the new year, I like that, and hopefully it will end with big fights.
