Corinthians didn't have the chance, they tied with Juventude and are back in the relegation zone.

Regarding Flamengo and São Paulo, unfortunately or fortunately (due to the risk of serious injuries) the team went in to play with practically their reserve team, it was a risk worth taking, since it is humanly impossible to maintain a sequence of games like in Brazil without the athletes getting tired.

I think the problem is me hahaha  Tongue
I don't bet and Corinthians win
When I decide to bet on my team again, they lose or draw

Some teams will suffer with several games happening in the brazilian championship, copa do Brasil and libertadores (and Sudamericana), it's almost impossible to stay well in the 3 championships, they have to choose one or two to focus

This is an undeniable truth: the team that wants all the titles ends up winning none. It is very difficult to be consistent in the three championships, they are extremely competitive and very difficult. The club that wants to be at the top has to have a great squad for this type of player rotation.

Well, as for the bets, when you are going to bet, let me know here, I will do exactly the opposite of what you do lol  Cheesy Cheesy

Just kidding Wink.  But tell me... are you a fan of the Rolling Stones? Because the lead singer has "cold feet", just like your bets...  Cheesy Cheesy

Sao Paulo 1 - 0 Flamengo

In my opinion, São Paulo's result was very good, with a win against Flamengo, now the championship is more balanced
And I'd like to point out two things

1 - In their last 5 matches, only Fortaleza haven't lost
2 - I'm watching Corinthians vs Juventude now, bet on Corinthians victory, and Juventude have already scored a goal  Angry

And if it ends like this, Corinthians will be back in the relegation zone

Regarding the championship being more balanced, I would say that this is a good thing. What really shocks me is how unpredictable the games in the Brazilian league are. Even the games involving the top teams against teams in the relegation zone become unpredictable because we have already seen a round in which Flamengo played against a team in the relegation zone and lost. In the same round in which Flamengo lost against a team in the relegation zone, Palmeiras also played against a team in the relegation zone and lost. This was not an isolated case. The big teams continue to have poor results when they play against weak teams.

For example, yesterday's game between Palmeiras and Internacional ended in a draw. If we look at Internacional's position in the table:

Internacional is close to the relegation zone, I thought that Palmeiras playing against Internacional could at least get a victory, but I got scared when I saw that Internacional scored a goal in the 1st half, I didn't watch the game but I was following the game, I was thinking: what the hell is wrong with Palmeiras that they can't win? After the game ended, I waited a few hours to watch the highlights videos of the game and I confess that I couldn't stop laughing at some of the things I saw in the highlights video, it seemed to me that the Palmeiras goalkeeper had difficulty defending long-range shots. Internacional caused much more danger than Palmeiras, in that game it seemed that Palmeiras was the team that was in the relegation zone and Internacional was the team at the top.

I only watched Botafogo x Atletico-GO yesterday and it was a very good game. Until the second half the odds displayed on the transmission were in favour of Atletico-GO and the match was really uncertain. After Atletico-GO scored their penalty goal, there was an impression they could revert the game and overcome Botafogo.

But in second half Botafogo has returned even more inspired than before, especially Luiz Henrique, and the match finished with 4 goals for Botafogo against 1 scored by Atletico-GO. From the 4 Botafogo's goals, Luiz Henrique was directly or indirectly involved in 3 of them. Besides that, he also dominated the ball during the match. He is a player many brazilian clubs would like to have right now.

Next match is going to be against Juventude, 14º place on the competition.

Sao Paulo 1 - 0 Flamengo

Shots:

Sao Paulo = 15
Flamengo = 8

Shots on target:

Sao Paulo = 3
Flamengo = 0

Looking at this data, you can already imagine that this was a disastrous game for Flamengo. I honestly don't understand what the hell happened to Flamengo to have such a great performance in this game. From the beginning to the end of the game, it seemed like Sao Paulo was playing alone on the field. Flamengo didn't attack much. Flamengo couldn't cause any danger to Sao Paulo's defense. In my opinion, Sao Paulo didn't score many goals just because they had great shooting skills.

If the situation remains as it is until the last round, I see Fluminense even having a chance of also becoming champion, because the 3 top teams are not doing well, they are not able to be consistent and Flamengo's next game will be another complicated game. I can say the same for Palmeiras, who will have a difficult next game, because they will play Flamengo twice. The first game in which Palmeiras will play against Flamengo will be in the Copa do Brasil game, second leg, this will be a game that will take place on the 8th of this month, that is, in 4 days. After this game, on the 11th of this month, Palmeiras will play against Flamengo again in the game for the Brasileirão and I think it will be a game in which both teams can lose points, something like ending in a draw in the Brasileirão game.

It will certainly be one of the best games of the year, they are the two best teams in the country... I still think Flamengo will win because they are in a better phase than Palmeiras... Striker Pedro, who for me is the best striker in Brazil, is having a great season with many goals. Are you going to bet? Who knows, maybe this game will be worth making some good money.
Take a look at the odds:

In the Brazilian championship Palmeiras lost 2 games out of the last 5 they played
Even though they're in 3rd place, the fans are already putting a lot of pressure on the team
I think Palmeiras can win this game at home
In the Brazilian Serie-A, Flamengo managed to top the standings and only suffered 3 defeats, this shows that Flamengo can be quite consistent in maintaining their playing performance in almost every match.
But this time in the Brazilian Cup which has reached the last 16, Palmeiras met Flamengo and the first leg match was a truly detrimental defeat for Palmeiras.
In the second leg match, Palmeiras must be able to surpass Flamengo aggregate advantage by 2 points, at least Palmeiras won big victory to be able to continue to survive and continue this competition.
Later, Palmeiras will play at home and of course there are many high hopes from all fans for Palmeiras to be able to win the match.

For the Brazilian Serie-A itself, in the future Palmeiras will also soon meet Flamengo and this has reached half of the competition, if Palmeiras does not immediately show improvement and achieve many victories, they will definitely fail to win the title.

Under Abel Ferreira's leadership, Palmeiras had: 299 games, 173 wins, 72 draws and 54 losses. I'm very grateful for what Abel Ferreira is doing for Palmeiras, this may be the best phase of Palmeiras ever, I'm afraid that these days of glory will end.

Of course, all of this is aligned with the good management that Lady Leila is doing at the club.

Of course, the club will not win everything and every match, even these recent strange matches, it's common for the club to be doing well and lose for silly reasons (let's hope for that).

Felipão, during the Parmalat era at Palmeiras, had the following numbers:
485 games, 238 wins, 132 draws, 115 losses
Not bad too

Today I'm thinking of placing a bet on Corinthians, with odds of 1.76 for a win against Juventude, playing at home and in a slightly better momentum
Will Corinthians disappoint me again?  Huh

I don't think palmeiras will go down that easily hahaha
Even though I support Corinthians
Endrick's departure will be greatly felt by the team, I'm sure of that, but the team is still among the best in Brazil easily, look at the other teams and you'll be sure

But in this moment of difficulty the team has to show the reaction, that it is capable of playing when the situation worsens and it has to keep calm and try to play the best soccer possible

For those betting on Palmeiras, it's time to think carefully before placing any bets, otherwise you'll lose a lot of bets just like I did with Corinthians  Tongue

I find these last few games of the Palmeiras team very strange, it seems like I've seen this movie before, could it be that the team is trying to overthrow coach Abel Ferreira? Endrick's departure seems to have discouraged the entire team... I don't know and I don't want to be some kind of prophet of the apocalypse, but is this the beginning of Palmeiras' decline? Are the "fat cows" era over?

I was excited about this classic and even thought about betting on my team, but since the first round of Fla x Pal had an imbalance in favor of Flamengo with a 2-goal advantage and a game that wasn't so good for Palmeiras, I thought about taking a step back from the bet.

I think it's too risky to bet on these two great teams.

Is Palmeiras declining?

Just talking about the next game, which Palmeiras will be playing at home, I think they have good chances to win, with the fans probably filling the stadium and supporting the team
I don't know if it will be enough to qualify, but only talking about the game, I think Palmeiras will win

Palmeiras is in a "bad" phase, and must react quickly if it wants to remain in contention for the Brazilian title
Now a fact to consider, Palmeiras is competing in the Brazilian championship, the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores, so perhaps it prefers the Libertadores right now

Copa do Brasil

Flamengo 2 - 0 Palmeiras

Flamengo managed to get a victory, which is good for Flamengo, especially because they were playing against a team that was supposed to be a strong team. However, it is strange that Palmeiras has lost 3 consecutive matches, including this one. The most frightening thing about this is the fact that Palmeiras has not managed to score at least 1 goal in the last 3 matches. I don't know what is happening to Palmeiras that is causing the team to not be able to score.

And in this match, Palmeiras' defense was a disaster. Flamengo only failed to score 3 goals because Flamengo's forward didn't have much technique when it came to shooting, and Flamengo wasted many good opportunities. It is funny that Palmeiras didn't create many opportunities to score. It was as if Palmeiras' forward was non-existent in this match. I think that Palmeiras is heading towards disaster. Congratulations to Flamengo for the victory.

I think Flamengo vs Palmeiras will be the early final of the Copa do Brasil. Flamengo vs Palmeiras, who have dominated Brazilian football in recent years and have taken their financial rivalry to another level, will be a footballing feast. De Arrascaeta's good return from the Copa America and his creative prowess, Pedro's 30 goals in 2024, making him the top scorer in Brazil, and Flamengo's home and crowd advantage in the first leg make them the favorites. De La Cruz and Bruno Henrique, who are recovering from injuries, could also be in the squad. Palmeiras, whose rotated squad suffered an unexpected home defeat against Vitoria in the league, will be without Estevao and Murilo. I expect Flamengo to get a comfortable win.

I know this isn't about the championship, but what are your predictions for the Copa do Brasil? I've already posted my predictions on BK8's ANN. I really believe in São Paulo and I don't want to take any chances with Botafogo.

I think we can talk a bit about the Copa do Brasil, because a thread only about the Cup wouldn't have so many posts
I'm not going to bet on my team Corinthians because I've already lost a lot of money on them. When I believe in the team, it loses. When I lose hope, they start winning games again, so it's hard to predict anything

The Goias vs São Paulo match has good odds for São Paulo to win, even though they're playing away from home, it could be a good bet

The Bahia vs Botafogo match is very difficult to predict, as Bahia are in great form and are managing to stay in a good position in the Brazilian championship. It's a game I can't predict or bet on, I prefer to bet on Sao Paulo too

Yes, I agree about the topic regarding the Copa do Brasil, it wouldn't have as much visibility and would be updated less frequently. But anyway, I got both São Paulo winning and +1.5 goals right!

And I did well not to bet on Botafogo, the game ended in a draw.
