it is interesting indeed
do you think having someone as Ronaldo who knows a lot about football owning a full team would change anything on the direction of the team?
what a team owner actually do, I mean, how much they can interfere with technical decisions?

this got me curious.
are teams always profitable too?

The difference is that Ronaldo, besides knowing a lot about football, is a mega businessman with a lot of experience in negotiations and business management, so when Cruzeiro was sold, it was a unique opportunity for him to put all his knowledge of management and sports into practice.

As for his influence on technical decisions, I don't think so. A professional manager like him knows that if he gets involved in other sectors, the chances of things going wrong are huge. He hires people he trusts and lets the work flow... football teams are a money-making machine when they are well managed. Just look at the case of Flamengo, which went from bankrupt to one of the richest teams in Brazil... results achieved through good management, nothing more.

Fortaleza definitely has no chance of becoming champion. They were lucky to get this far, but now they are falling and are returning to the position they belong

In my opinion, it's too early to say that Fortaleza don't have a chance of becoming champions, because after all, they're four points behind leader Botafogo
There are still 12 games to play, with 36 points up in dispute
Every point is important for the final leg, but there's still time

Fortaleza still have a game against Palmeiras, who are in second place, so it's a very important match, and if they win, it could put pressure on Botafogo
And Botafogo also have a game against Palmeiras

It could be that these matches between the three will be the difference between the champion and the winner  Shocked

This game Memphis needs to show what he came for and boost the team's morale. Otherwise, he will only shine in the B series next year, if there is a next year. I think it's hard for him to want to stay here in a championship below.

So take a look at this:

The reason is a clause in the Dutchman's contract to terminate his contract free of charge if the team finishes the Brazilian Championship relegated to Serie B

If Corinthians are relegated, both could terminate their contracts  Cheesy

LOL this didn't surprise me but it's really funny. It shows that the Memphis agent is better than 90% of Brazilian agents combined. This clause makes him come, earn his money and no matter what happens he leaves more of a millionaire than when he arrived. Congratulations to Corinthians for the terrible deal.

Typical business to gain the fans' morale at any cost. The team is doing badly, the finances are bad, but the important thing is the joy of the deluded fans who see a star player arriving and solving all the team's problems... typical behavior of Brazilian politicians, after all, it is the president's team, right? I just want to see who will pay this bill later, because if the club continues like this it will go bankrupt... the final blow will be relegation... and this time there will be no buyer, like Ronaldo did with the Cruzeiro team...

It would be interesting to see someone like Ronaldo buying the team. I really like these types of purchases of teams that are bankrupt and then take control of the situation and start winning again. As you mentioned, Cruzeiro is a completely different team, which even has Cassio, who played for Corinthians.

Flamengo never stops disappointing. This season they won't be champions again. They changed coaches, but we don't see any good results. Honestly, they should start hiring coaches who have won the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga. Tite isn't managing to make the team strong. I doubt very much that Flamengo will be able to win Brasileirão

In my opinion, Flamengo is no longer a champion. There have been so many random failures that the team has lost to itself, draws and defeats against bad teams. For example, in the last game against Vasco, they dominated the entire game and conceded a goal. This is the behavior of a team that does not want to be champion. There is only one person in the world capable of bringing the titles back to Flamengo: Jorge Jesus.

MMM man, why you bet on so low odds games? I mean i know you feel super sure doing that, but i can see a 1.08 odds in the double chance bet between Palmeiras or draw, that doesnt have any value in the long run for me, believe only one bad bet and you are gonna need so much wins to recover it.

Im more into the school of high odds.

Internacional 2 - 1 Fortaleza

It seems that when a team reaches the top it starts to bad perform. Yesterday Fortaleza lost for the second time in a row in a game in which they only had 1 shot on target and also only had 39% possession. They didn't look like a top team that was performing well, they looked like a team in the relegation zone.

Betting on these Brazilian teams is very difficult. That's why I'm not betting.

Fortaleza is now the team to beat, when they are at the top it seems that their opponents play with more desire to win, and that is what I commented a few days ago, it is very difficult to maintain this consistency, at some point the defeats start to arrive, and the discouragement... soon Fortaleza will be further down the table... I don't know if this team has enough quality to be champion.

It's unbelievable that these guys have started to decline so much, they've gone 3 games in a row without winning. Their attack is very weak. In the last 4 games, they've managed to score a maximum of 1 goal in each game. With this weak attack, it will be very difficult for them to stay in the top 5, because Bahia, Flamengo, Sao Paulo, at the moment seem to be better than Fortaleza despite being in the positions below Fortaleza in the table. I heard that Brítez and Yago Pikachu will be in the game against Corinthians. I don't know how much the presence of these 2 players could change Fortaleza's performance.

Internacional 2 - 1 Fortaleza
Yesterday, we watched match between Internacional and Fortaleza football teams . Both teams played well in this match but Internacional team gave excellent performance in this match. They did 2 goals in this match as comparison of 1 goal of Fortaleza team . Alan Patrick did first goal of the match and he provided base to the team and after goal ,team looked in full confidence and team tried their best to win this match and G. Prado did next goal for his team at the 83 minutes of the match. All stat was in the favour of Internacional team because their shots were more in number and also on target. The passes were excellent due to which, they easily won the match.

What a rout Palmeiras had?  Shocked And what a great goal Flaco López scored, worthy of a great goal. After a long time, Palmeiras is keeping current leader Botafogo awake at night. Has Palmeiras recovered?

In the last 3 games, Palmeiras has won 9 points, scored 12 goals and conceded no goals.

I bet on a draw or a Palmeiras win, but I lost betting on a Fortaleza win. If I had bet on a draw or a win, I would have won that bet too.  Tongue

I don't think we should celebrate so much since it was against Criciuma. Palmeiras has its ups and downs even though they are a great team. The bad thing is predicting the day they will win. I'm sure they have suffered in other games against Criciuma.

It seems that it has recovered, the last games have certainly given more energy to the whole team, which is now going after the title as if there were no tomorrow, Botafogo in my opinion is not in a position to stay at the top for much longer, its next match will be against Fluminense which is a classic between rivals and anything can happen, this game is Palmeiras' chance to tie the number of points.

Don't worry, it won't be a constant bet. I'll only bet when something very specific is going to happen, but with the arrival of Memphis Depay something should change and he should contribute something to this team. But I don't believe they'll be champions, unless Memphis pulls off a real miracle, which is unlikely. But Corinthians is not even remotely likely to be champion of anything other than the second division next year.

I've already lost a lot of bets with Corinthians this year hehehe
I wasn't even crazy enough to bet against Botafogo and the predictable happened, Corinthians lost again and the situation is getting even more complicated

“Luckily", the next game is against Atlético-GO, who are bottom of the league, and it could be a chance to get out of the relegation zone, but it depends on the other teams.

Regrettable situation  Embarrassed

How many nights at party and why infinite is gonna take Memphis Depay on his stance on brazilian soil?  Cheesy

I hope not for Corinthians fans but i can feel like Memphis is gonna be at nightclubs with "garotas" all over the place. What do you think?

In other things i heard, the salary of him is gonna be pay by the sponsor of Corinthians, that is true? Because i dont see why or what wins the sponsor making this, Memphis is a big sign but not so big to be a marketing thing.

But well that makes also the tournament much more entertainet to see for the people, a dominance is boring like we see on the Bundesliga for example.
Brasileirão is being really entertaining this season for me more than international competitions such as Copa America. I'm enjoying to watch Botafogo's matches pretty much. The club is having a good time, what hasn't been seen since the late 90's, at least. The matches are always full of excitement, awesome plays and surprises until the last minutes. Nothing is decided yet in Brasileirão, but I hope this year outcomes continue turning favourable to us. There are very good players in Botafogo right now, so the club has to enjoy its momentum and overcome what happened last year.

Great play yesterday against Corinthians. Highlights to Almada, John, Savarino, Luiz Henrique and Corinthians' goalkeeper, Hugo Souza, who also did his best and defended some spicy shots from Botafogo.

There's no need to be upset
I dont know why Brasileirao is super competitive but when Brazilian teams took part in the international competitions of CONMEBOL they dont win so easily against super weak teams.
For sure they ended up being the champions of the competitions but that is like always and because of the super economy power they have, but you dont see so often a thrashing in international competitions.

for some reason it's different
some of the players that play here are different than the ones playing there
there's also the pressure of playing in different countries with different climate conditions too, this could sound like a minor thing but can be big at a professional level as well

I'm not following this championship as closely as I followed the past one but one thing is for sure: Corinthians is not winning this one
I'm sorry to come with these news in case you're one that likes corinthians but better chose another team to place your bets on
crazy how things are...
Unfortunately, even if the team does not improve its tactics and the internal management within the club, which is a mess, even if it survives this season, it will have to face the same problems in subsequent seasons. That is why competent management is essential for every company and team.
