Corinthians vs Flamengo

Anyone brave enough to make a good guess about this game?
Corinthians in bad form at home
Flamengo with a much better team, in a better phase but playing away from home

The 2 biggest fans in Brazil, in a crowded stadium hahaha

I confess that if I had bet before the start of the game, I'd have bet my chips on Flamengo's victory, I'm not able to follow the game, but I thought it would be the easiest bet of all, when I open the PC and come across this result, a huge surprise.

The game isn't over yet, but I don't know if I'd make a bet right now.

End of the game: more red cards rolled in, football with UFC. I decided to bet on Corinthians at the end of the game.

Well played match yesterday by Botafogo against Fortaleza, with a score of 2x0. It was amazing to see Botafogo displaying the performance level they did yesterday. Fortaleza played extremely defensively, so Botafogo had a hard time during the first half to score, although the team still had control over the field almost the whole game.

After the changes made by Arthur Jorge on the second half, and thanks to the supportive skills of Barboza and Tiquinho Soares, the ball reached Igor Jesus precisely when he most needed to score twice. Beautiful goals resulting in two Kamehameha.

Fortaleza played for the tie since the beginning, and that might have been their mistake, although it's hard to assure if they would have better chances by playing more offensively.

The economic difference is impressive. If Corinthians had followed the economic model of Ronaldo Nazario's time, today it would be a money-making powerhouse on par with Flamengo and Palmeiras. Unfortunately, management and politicking have bled the club's finances. But I see that you are a true Corinthians fan, and you continue to believe in the team's victory even in this situation.
To tell you the truth, I'm quite disappointed by Corinthians
Yesterday I bet on a draw, and I didn't even manage to win the bet  Tongue

I find it incredible that Corinthians has so much money, so much influence, even good players in the squad, and is in the relegation zone
Some things don't seem to have an easy explanation

I'm all about Fortaleza now hahaha, I hope to see a new brazilian champion, would be awesome
I don't know why there are still those who believe in Corinthians who are clearly lower team that is currently in the relegation zone, I personally would not take bet like this.

But I admit that Corinthians have some pretty good things like defensive game pattern that can make teams like Fortaleza quite difficult to score more goal, in the last match in the Brazilian Cup for the first leg they were also still able to match Juventude even though they lost in the end.
In the second leg later they will play at home and this is good opportunity to win and enter the semifinals, but before that Corinthians will play first with Flamengo for the Brazilian Serie-A.
But speaking of which, in the future we will see new champion for this season, initially I thought Palmeiras would have the chance to win the title but now it is clear who is close to the title.

The 2 players earn a lot of money but have gone 8 games without scoring a goal. I don't understand why they are earning so much money when they can't even score goals often. Going 8 games without scoring a goal is serious. I could be wrong, but in my opinion the club's management could use that money to pay better players because right now Corinthians' situation is not good. In Serie A they are in the relegation zone, in the Brazilian Cup they have a big chance of losing in the second leg, in the South American Cup they will play against the worst opponent, I'm talking about Fortaleza who beat Corinthians in the last round in the Brazilian Championship and in the next game they will play against Flamengo for the Brazilian Championship, so Corinthians' situation is terrible and will only get worse every week. I think spending that amount of money on 2 players doesn't make sense.

Yuri Alberto, with 18 games for Corinthians in the Campeonato Brasileiro, has only scored 4 goals, which is very bad for a striker, and it's harming Corinthians a lot

Worst of all, Corinthians have already signed some players, including some good ones, but none of them have worked out very well in recent months. Very promising players like Matías Rojas, who is now at Inter Miami, haven't worked out for the team
The team is desperate right now, trying to sign a new striker, but it's going to be difficult to get the team together
As you said, there are some very difficult games ahead, and the team will possibly be eliminated from the Copa do Brasil and Sudamericana

Another day, another lost bet with Corinthians  Tongue

I saw a very interesting comparison yesterday:
Juventude, who beat Corinthians, have a monthly payroll of 2.5 million reais
Corinthians' two strikers, Coronado and Yuri Alberto, together earn 4 million reais a month

Neither of the two strikers were able to help Corinthians  Angry

I remember talking about Fortaleza's potential here. It's a team that has a good chance, if I'm not mistaken it's something close to 40%. If they manage well they can do it, but a lot of it is due to the instability of the other teams. I really believe in this title for them.

So true! Fortaleza is by far the strongest team in Serie A right now and I don't think anyone can really challenge them for the title run because currently they sit at 48 points from 23 games with 14 victories already. They are followed closely by Botafogo on 2nd place but I really can't see Botafogo winning the championship because as far as I remember they were in Serie B a couple of years ago but still they have a very impressing run so far.

The only true contender should be Palmeiras but I have doubts they can keep up the pace with Fortaleza.

It's a difficult thing to predict, so as I said before, for Fortaleza to be champions, they just need to stay in the championship. The other teams are showing a lot of instability in their games and this is causing them to lose points. Therefore, if they continue at their current pace, they will certainly be champions. And I'll come back here to review this statement.

The current performance of the Fortaleza team in this Brazilian championship is really impressive, for me it was a surprise since I don't follow the teams from the north and northeast of the country very much. But we must remember one thing, the higher (especially at this speed) the team gets, the greater the probability of fall, since Fortaleza has won its last 5 matches, just two consecutive defeats could perhaps destabilize the team... and the next round is a match against Botafogo, a direct competitor for the title. Anything can happen.

It's really complicated. However, they are consistent and are already in tune. If the other competing teams give them a break, they can certainly go for the title.

Never forget a very important detail in all of this... The team that the president of the republic of Brazil supports. lol, since he is in charge of the country, Corinthians will never be relegated! Never! Relegation is out of the question!

I'm sure that if relegation is indeed the team's path on the field, I can see some refereeing error that changes some games in Corinthians' favor.

Hehehe, let's see in a few weeks

There were 2 games of Copa do Brasil yesterday:

São Paulo 0 x 1 Atlético MG
Bahia 0 x 1 Flamengo

And there's 2 more today:

Vasco x Athletico PR
Juventude x Corinthians

I believe in a draw of Corinthians, 2.60 odds

Corinthians' situation is desperate, but I believe they won't be relegated. There are much worse teams and one of those spots in the second division already belongs to Fluminense. I'm rooting for them to be relegated. After all, they need to pay their second division debt, as they moved up from the third division to the first division in the João Havelange Cup... there's a debt to be paid. Cheesy Cheesy
I think it's very unlikely that Corinthians won't be relegated after their performance throughout this championship. Looking at their last 5 matches, they haven't managed to win a single match and if I'm not mistaken, there are 14 rounds left until the end of the 2024 Brazilian Championship.

Corinthians will hardly be able to get out of the relegation danger zone by then unless a miracle happens. I don't know how they didn't get relegated last year, but if Santos hadn't been relegated to Serie B, Corinthians would certainly have been relegated last year.

You're right, I hadn't thought of it that way
Fluminense really does have a debt to pay with the Brazilian championship and it deserves it

I'm a Corinthians fan and I'm still in doubt, but if you ask me if they deserve to be relegated, the answer is yes, the team is playing VERY BAD and so far I don't know how they managed to qualify for the Copa do Brasil and the Sudamericana

Let's see in some weeks who is right here  Cheesy

Cruzeiro have not won in their last four games and are slipping further away from the top of the table. They have assembled one of the most important squads in recent years, but they are about to lose ground in the league. For me, Cruzeiro's defeat against Internacional was their downfall. Internacional, on the other hand, can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Defeating Juventude and Cruzeiro at home has ended the bad run of the team for now. However, they need to improve their quality of play for continuity.

Let's remember that these two teams last met at Internacional's home ground. Therefore, the two teams know each other's style of play. I think Cruzeiro, who have not gotten the results they wanted in recent matches, will stop the bad run and win this match.

The Brasileirão is very balanced, it is a big surprise that Fortaleza is doing so well, they have won all of their last 5 matches and still have one game less than some of the direct competitors for the title and they were also the team that lost the fewest among the current top 5.

I'm curious to know if any bettor have managed to place a bet on Fortaleza winning the Brazilian championship hahaha, it's very hard to imagine even for the fans
But I'm happy that a team outside the big ones from Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul managed to reach the top
And my current support is for Fortaleza anyway, no more Palmeiras and Flamengo hahaha, they've won enough in the recent past

I've been thinking about Corinthians' possible relegation, and the conclusion I've come to is that if they are relegated, at least next season I can place all my bets on Corinthians and make a good profit  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
