I'm surprised, but this is yet another one of those Corinthians signings that only serve marketing purposes. Normally, the player only comes because of the fans, and it's not the team that pays for him, but rather another marketing ploy because the team, in its current financial situation, should be thinking about other things.

Makes sense for me, His is not the player which worth the signing at the present. The possible plot is to use this signing as intermediate step for his  retirement and pay him the dissent protection money, more likely  from the sponsor pocket. I only wonder who is that generous to a fault sponsor. Probably the team will also get their part and that is why they agreed to this deal.

Coming from Corinthians and its history, I know very well where this money comes from. With all this repercussion of the owner of a betting house being arrested, the events with betting houses in the past at Corinthians itself. Everything points to some criminal scheme, but I prefer not to go into depth and judge only these questionable signings.

This signing is really surprising, especially considering that Corinthians is facing a notorious financial difficulty... Where will they get the money to pay the player? Does the player really have any idea of the club's financial situation? What will happen to the players and employees of the club who are behind on their salaries? It's bizarre, for example, a janitor with late salaries seeing the club signing an expensive player like that... I'll never understand...

I don't know what's going on in the player's head, but I would never trade Europe to come to Brazil to a club with financial difficulties... Maybe it would be visibility in a big team like Corinthians? Could he be aiming for the World Cup? We'll never know.

The information I have is that the contract will be for a total of 28 months
Around 70 million reais will be paid over these months

This signing is part of a partnership with Corinthians' master sponsor, Esportes da Sorte, and was intended to sign a great player for marketing and advertising purposes

What do you think?
Was it Corinthians' best choice or not?
Is there a player you would have preferred?

to add, Corinthians hired André Carrillo, a 33-year-old player. Honestly, why is a team in financial difficulties spending money on meaningless signings?

The former Al-Qadisiyah player is close to joining Corinthians, Media reports confirmed that Peruvian Andre Carrillo, former Saudi Al-Qadisiyah club player, is close to moving to the Brazilian team Corinthians this summer. The player had left the ranks of Al-Qadisiyah during the past few days. The Brazilian newspaper "Globo" said that Andre Carrillo was included in The interests of the Brazilian club Corinthians in order to include him in the ranks of the team. The player's name was linked to joining the Zamalek club, with which he is trying to reduce the amount of money and sign with him, even for one season. Only.

According to the news site I read, in this transfer window they made 9 signings. A team with financial difficulties would not be making this kind of move. They would be making signings only when necessary and of local players with a lot of talent. But they are signing players who are 30 years old and older. It honestly doesn't make sense. I also heard that they intend to present these players on the day of the game against Juventude. We will see if anything will change with the arrival of these 2 players.

Believe it or not, Dutch striker Memphis Depay is going to play for Corinthians

What do you think? Can he work out and help the team, or will he just be another player who plays a few games and leaves Brazil?

The best striker in Brazil today (Pedro) has been seriously injured and will be out of action for at least 8 months in the biggest team in Brazil. So now there is a chance that opposing teams will take this title away from the great and giant Flamengo, the biggest team in the world.

Joking aside, tomorrow we have Corinthians vs. Botafogo. I hope Corinthians causes problems for Botafogo just as they did for Flamengo. I hope Corinthians wins this game. Fortaleza will probably beat Atlético-PR and Palmeiras will beat Criciúma... These are my guesses
Even though it's a rival club, I'm very sad about something like this happening, especially to an athlete at Pedro's level. I hope he recovers well and returns to the field as soon as possible.

You have a good point, do you think I'll be lucky if I bet against Corinthians this time? lol

Do you think Flamengo will be seriously affected and will have a big loss with Pedro out due to his injury?

Betting on Corinthians in this final stretch of the championship considerably increases the chances of winning some money, after all, as I said before, it's Lula's team, anything can happen lol

Now, Flamengo will have to settle for Gabriel Barbosa (AKA Lil Gabi), who has not well played at all for over a year. Maybe this is the chance he wanted to get a good contract with Flamengo again, because the one he had in hand was a 5-year contract that the club rejected due to the lack of sporting return from the player... who has not been playing at all.

Pedro is an important loss, he will change the way Flamengo behaves on the field.

Another day, another lost bet with Corinthians  Tongue

I saw a very interesting comparison yesterday:
Juventude, who beat Corinthians, have a monthly payroll of 2.5 million reais
Corinthians' two strikers, Coronado and Yuri Alberto, together earn 4 million reais a month

Neither of the two strikers were able to help Corinthians  Angry

Yes this is true but Corinthians have huge financial problems and I don't think they will be able to keep a lot of players during the winter break so don't be surprised if games like that one will continue to repeat for them until they solve the financial status or simply relegate into Serie B and start a reconstruction. Personally , I don't think the club can be saved this year so that's why I do expect a lot of players to leave and then I think the club won't have the necessary power to stay in Serie A and will relegate into Serie B and start over.  Wink

Despite Corinthians' desperate financial situation, I still think the team will not be relegated to the second division of the Brazilian championship. There is a lot going on behind the scenes and, coincidentally, the team that President Lula supports is Corinthians. Maybe something out of the ordinary will happen and the team will be able to win the matches it needs to avoid relegation.

I had already forgotten about my own topic here in this sesison's board Grin

I'm coming here to comment again on women's football (which is also Brasileirão)... is anyone here following?

Yesterday, São Paulo beat Ferroviária (2-1) in the first game of the semifinal and now only needs a draw in the second game to guarantee its place in the grand final of the championship... I believe in São Paulo's qualification.

Our friend @rdluffy must be happy, this time he bet on Corinthians, right?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Corinthians also did well in women's football, my friend. On the other side of the table, also in the semifinal, they beat Palmeiras (3-1) in the first game.

Both games will take place next Sunday and it is likely that we will have a final between São Paulo and Corinthians.

Finally a win to cheer things up a bit, but I confess I didn't put much money on this bet because I've lost several times believing in my team hahaha, I only placed a small bet to watch the game with more emotion  Cheesy

When we finally stop betting on the team, they finally win. It seems like they know we've been betting on them all along.

But I don't think that's any motivation; they need to understand that they need a lot more to get out of this run of bad luck.

It's always like that, right? It always happens to me lol  Cheesy

I play a competitive fighting game almost every day. During matches, the general idea is to put your opponent in a situation where he has to guess, what we call 50/50, it's the ideal scenario in fighting games... it turns out that... when my opponent puts me in this situation, I ALWAYS choose wrong... incredible lol  Cheesy Cheesy Angry Angry

Maybe now the team will be able to have some motivation to continue the fight against relegation, after all, beating one of the teams that is at the top is something to celebrate, here at work I have heard several jokes from Corinthians fans, Monday is already a boring day, hearing jokes then... you can imagine the week starting off well, right? lol nobody deserves that lol Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I hope so hahaha, but's it's not easy, Corinthians can win a tough match against a strong team, but after that they will struggle against smaller teams hahaha
Next match is against Juventude, who won 2x1 for Copa do Brasil, I'm not very optmitisc about that yet

Yuri Alberto, for example, earns 2 million reais a month, I think he has plenty of motivation to do anything for Corinthians hahaha, just like other players, there's no lack of money to motivates them
Meanwhile, I continue with my humble bets, trying to make a profit in the Brazilian championship  Cheesy

I confess that if I had bet before the start of the game, I'd have bet my chips on Flamengo's victory, I'm not able to follow the game, but I thought it would be the easiest bet of all, when I open the PC and come across this result, a huge surprise.

The game isn't over yet, but I don't know if I'd make a bet right now.

End of the game: more red cards rolled in, football with UFC. I decided to bet on Corinthians at the end of the game.

Congratulations, you managed to win the bet, but it wasn't that easy hahaha, Corinthians always win the hard way  Cheesy

In the last 5 games, Flamengo only had one victory. Flamengo's luck is that other big teams like Palmeiras and Botafogo are also not consistent. They manage to win some games, then draw or lose, so in this way the distance in points compared to Flamengo is not very big. If Flamengo had been unlucky enough to be competing with teams with a very good performance to the point of not losing in any game, then the distance in points would have been very big to the point that I would say that Flamengo no longer has a chance of competing for the title. Fortunately, Flamengo is lucky that this season all the teams have also been failures.

A team that wants to be champion and a Brazilian powerhouse cannot possibly have the results that Flamengo is having. The team is very unstable, despite having a lot of players missing due to injuries, there is no justification for losing to a team that is practically dead, a soccer zombie, like Corinthians...

Corinthians vs Flamengo

Anyone brave enough to make a good guess about this game?
Corinthians in bad form at home
Flamengo with a much better team, in a better phase but playing away from home

The 2 biggest fans in Brazil, in a crowded stadium hahaha

Flamengo is a team that you can't trust, at least I don't trust Flamengo, I've already lost some bets when I added Flamengo. But I confess that for this game I thought it could have ended in a draw. But I'm not shocked by Flamengo's defeat, there was already a game in which Flamengo played against a team in the relegation zone and I had bet on them and Flamengo lost and I lost my bet. After that I didn't bet on Flamengo anymore.
