@alegotardo, did you see that there are negotiations for the location of the next Grêmio X Corinthians game for the Brasil Cup? If you haven't seen it, take a look, it would be very interesting to have a game at the Snake Stadium again.

Yes... it's not 100% confirmed yet, but I'm already keeping an eye on it.
I'm just in doubt who to support... Grêmio is the main "enemy" of a Colorado fan, but I never liked Corinthiano either... they are very showy. Ultimately, I think I'll go and hope for a draw, but I hope it will at least be a nice game to watch.

Flamengo can regain the lead today if they score at least 3 goals.

It didn't even need all of this, Flamengo beat Atlético-GO 2-0 last Sunday and is already back at the top of the Brazilian Championship.
However, I think this change of leadership should happen a few more times... nothing is guaranteed yet.

I know this isn't about the championship, but what are your predictions for the Copa do Brasil? I've already posted my predictions on BK8's ANN. I really believe in São Paulo and I don't want to take any chances with Botafogo.

Flamengo can regain the lead today if they score at least 3 goals. Gabigol seems to have woken up and decided to play football. After all, Rodolfo Landin (Flamengo's president) told him that he should show that he can still be a great player in order to have a long contract with Flamengo... and today in Brazil there is no better team to play for than Flamengo. There is even Palmeiras, but for those who have a lot of money, like football players between living in Rio and São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro is much better.
This should be the giveaway match of the day because every gambler including the novice will easily know it will be a home win. The match ended 2-0 which is a little short of expectations and what I predicted which is home to win and total goal over 2.5. A direct standing or home to score over 1.5 would have given a better odd anyways but the clear signal is home win. Flamengo is not in their best form this season but they don't joke with home match especially against a weak side.
I am very impressed by the performance of Flamengo football team because they won the match easily by 2-0 goals.  We saw one sided match but I didn't want to watch one sided match because  when only one team plays well match is not interesting and when team gave their hundred percent and we see the best match. Pedro and G. De Arrascaeta were two persons who became successful to do goals in this match and we saw no goal from Atlético Clube Goianiense side. The shots of Flamengo team were equal to the Atlético Clube Goianiense team but their most of the   shots were on target. The possession percentage was also more than Atlético Clube Goianiense and passes were also more and collectively  they won the match due to great performance and there was no point at which we consider that Will lose this match.

What's missing is for them to beat a team that's at the top of the table. They lose to those at the bottom and beat those at the top. It's a typical Brazilian championship dispute.

I can't understand this either. Generally, teams that are at the top of the table have a lot of difficulty against teams that are doing badly. What could be happening? Because it's a very strange pattern, right? The team plays very, very badly, making mistakes on simple plays, showing a general apathy on the field... this doesn't happen when they play against teams that are directly competing for the title... really strange.

It's official, Palmeiras has finally sunk. They're going to pull a Botafogo and start their career on the path to losing the title that only depended on them. Since these guys lost this game, if you look into it properly, it's definitely a scam.

The great Guarani of the Capital, this team supported by elderly Brazilians who go into debt with Crefisa to support the millionaire squad of Palmeiras, soon this all ends and the team returns to being a small, tiny team from the capital of the state of São Paulo. Jokes aside, maybe not yet... it's just a bad phase, but it takes a lot of effort to avoid generalized discouragement in the team...

Paying just 1.36 odds to win
If you combine it with a Palmeiras win (1.40), it's 1.90 odds, it could be a good bet, that's what I'm thinking of doing

What a crazy round
I lost my bet because of Palmeiras

Palmeiras lost to Vitória, who are in the relegation zone, which was a very surprising result for me.
Botafogo lost the game and the lead, playing at home against Cruzeiro
Fluminense managed to win one more away from home

Just when I think I've made a good bet, the teams decide to change the whole logic hahaha.
It's proving difficult to win bets this season

I was quite surprised by Palmeiras' defeat, it seems that now the club has decided to resurrect the dead, it only loses to teams that are doing badly... what is happening with the much-missed Guarani from the capital?

If Flamengo wins today, they could become the leader of the table, but I doubt very much that Flamengo will be able to become champions, as Palmeiras and Botafogo are not consistent, if Flamengo took advantage of this opportunity by winning all the games, they would be able to have a big advantage in points. But unfortunately Flamengo can lose points against weak teams too. Betting on this Brazilian championship is high risk.

I arrived a little late to the forum today, but at this very moment Flamengo is winning 2x0 and taking the lead in the Brazilian championship again, at least momentarily.

It is difficult to see a scenario in the major European leagues where the top teams play against the worst teams in the table and some top team loses. But in the Brazilian league, seeing this type of thing is becoming common. This makes betting on a game in the Brazilian league very dangerous to the point that people have to avoid betting. In my case, since I see that the games in the major European leagues will soon return, I will stop betting on this league and will only follow the games.

I see that Palmeiras has already started to have problems in attack, even with a lot of possession they have not been able to score goals, and their defense is not good. When I bet on them, although I took into account that they would be playing against a weak team that is in the relegation zone and that in the last games they have not won, I was also taking into account that Palmeiras, despite being unstable, could win because when they play at home they have done well, I was shocked by their defeat at home

possession of the ball

Palmeiras = 71%
EC Vitoria = 29%

but Palmeiras couldn't score a goal, and the part that made me laugh even though I lost money was this:

shots

Palmeira = 21
EC Vitoria = 10

shots on target

Palmeira = 3
EC Vitoria = 3

how can a top team make 21 shots and only have 3 shots on target while one of the worst teams makes 10 shots and has 3 shots on target? And the funniest thing is that the worst team scored 2 goals and didn't concede any Grin

A lot of games tonight from Serie A and my picks are the following :

Juventude - Criciuma = both teams to score but under 2.5 goals. ( pretty amazing odds around 6 )

Palmeiras - Vitoria = should be a solid win for Palmeiras but I wouldn't risk any bets on this game.

Bahia - International = actually this might be in favor of Bahia because this team is playing great football this season while International are finding themselves in a bit of struggle to accumulate points.

Fortaleza - Sao Paolo = derby of the night right ? both teams are doing great and both teams are looking for 3 points.  Cool

I almost nailed all 3 predictions but unfortunately Sao Paolo decided not to score and they barely had any real chances to score so it was kinda fair from Fortaleza to win and secure 3 points.

However , I didn't expect Criciuma to actually win on away and beat Juventude with 2-1 but they did it and took 3 vital points.

Bahia ,what a team right ? the fact that International made a lucky draw won't take any merit away from Bahia , who is a consistent team who is improving game after game and I won't be surprised to see them finishing top 3 this year.

Tonight : I think the luck of Corinthias won't be with them anymore and I do expect them to lose because this team is still in a very bad financial status and a lot of players are already set to leave.

Today I was watching a comedy film, so I stopped to read the news and to my shock I saw news that Botafogo lost in a humiliating way, I continued reading the news and they were saying that they conceded 3 goals, I was thinking: "what the hell is happening?" but since I didn't bet on Botafogo I decided to leave the news site, but when I was pressing the exit button, I saw that the site had results from other games, and that was when I was even more shocked by what I was seeing, Palmeiras lost miserably in a game against a very weak opponent.

Palmeiras 0 - 2 EC Vitoria

 Shocked

I went to watch the highlights of the game to understand what the hell had happened and it seemed that Palmeiras had no interest in winning the game, they wasted good opportunities and lost. With this defeat I lost my bet

The most interesting league for me has always been the Brazilian league.
Big teams may never have been relegated in other countries' leagues, but the huge Santos team was relegated in the Brazilian league.
Now, Brazil's well-established team Fluminense is experiencing this fear again. There's still a long way to go until the end of the league, but the team is very out of form and I don't know how they will get out of this situation.
I don't know if Fluminense has been relegated before. Maybe it was in the past years, but I don't remember it recently.

You'll be surprised
Fluminense was relegated in 1996, but the story doesn't end so quickly
In 1996, the CBF managed to pull off a “maneuver” and helped the team avoid relegation
In 1997, the team was finally relegated to play in the B series in 1998
In 1998, incredibly, the team managed to be relegated again, to play in the C series, which is the third division of the Brazilian championship

At least in 1999 they managed to win the championship and return to Serie A the following year (also with the help of the CBF at the time)

The Brazilian championship was very messy, more so than it is today

It is impossible to understand how CBF can make such an intervention.
Thanks for information. I didn't know such a situation was happening.
At that time, CBF did a disservice to the team by keeping Fluminense in the league. If they had been relegated to Serie B that year, maybe they would have come back to Serie A a year later, but worse happened and they went down to Serie C.
There is still a long time until the league ends this year, but the team is very bad. I wonder how they will establish themselves from this position.

After Botafogo tied against São Paulo and by watching the current match which is going on right now against Cruzeiro, I reach the conclusion Junior Santos is a very important player in field to create chemistry among the players and lead the club ahead. The last games he played, which was against Palmeiras and Internacional, the squad played well and conquered the victory. But since he was removed, Botafogo isn't delivering the same results.

It's really hard to bet on Brasileirão's matches, because the clubs are too unstable. Each new week it looks a different team is playing. They don't maintain the performance. Palmeiras is a good example of that. Sometimes it's unbelievable. Good for those who bet picking the underdogs on the right matches.

It is very exciting to follow the Brazilian championship, it is undoubtedly one of the most competitive and the fans are so fanatical that they fight in stadiums (not that this is a good thing, violence is always a bad thing).

The Brazilian Championship was elected, for the second year in a row, the strongest national league in the world.

What happened to Palmeiras yesterday? The team looked listless and losing to the last placed team is a burden they certainly took to the locker room. It was the only defeat yesterday, which should have been the safest match.

Anyone who took a big gamble and bet on Fluminense winning must have won a lot of money. I don't remember the odds, but I would never have made that bet hehehe
How do you explain that to someone who doesn't follow Brazilian soccer regularly?
It's hard to explain even to us  Huh

Only Botafogo and Fortaleza have not lost in their last five matches
It really seemed like a sure bet, but in the end it was a box of surprises.

For this next round, I will bet on the following games:

Palmeiras SP - EC Vitoria ( I will bet that Palmeiras will win )

CR Flamengo RJ - AC Goianiense GO  ( I will bet that Flamengo will win )

I will make this choice for the following reasons:

The two big teams will play against very weak teams, as the odds are low, I will make a multi bet
Good point, it seems like a less risky bet given the fundamentals.

And so the round end, with Fluminense's victory over Palmeiras, Botafogo leads the round in the championship with a 3-point advantage.
Right behind them are: Flamengo, Palmeiras and Fortaleza and Cruzeiro closing the G4.

Flamengo can regain the lead today if they score at least 3 goals.

3 goals is too utopian, at least Flamengo will not lose to Atlético Goianiense and get 3 points, the match is also Flamengo's home game, so there is no doubt they will get 3 points. In the last 2 meetings Flamengo always won, they even beat Atlético Goianiense with a score of 4 - 1, that might be a good scenario for Flamengo to be in first place again.
