Recently, Corinthians' sponsor "VAI DE BET" abandoned the club. All the websites are reporting that Corinthians is practically bankrupt. They are owing salaries even to the most humble employees, such as cleaners and cooks. In other words, the club's financial situation is very complicated... Will the Brazilian federal government help Corinthians again?

What ?  A big club like Corinthians having this problems ? They were in Copa Sudamericana with real chances to actually winning it and every year they have a presence in either Copa Libertadores or Sudamericana so I'm really surprised a club like this are having massive financial problems. Hopefully , someone will jump and help them because if they don't , I think Serie B is the next step for them to actually rebrand , regroup and form a new team.  Sad

I don't think he'll be banned from football. I think he'll be sentenced and will only be out for a few years, maybe, I don't doubt it'll be a few months. Even though he's famous, I think they'll be able to reverse this.

I think it's difficult for him not to be banned, what he did in the eyes of another athletes is the worst thing any athlete can do, it corrupts the entire team, all the people involved, it's something unacceptable... and probably banning an athlete from the Brazilian national team , premier league player... one of the best midfielders today will serve as an example for all others who think about manipulating games.

In Paquetá's case, bets were basically identified from his homeland, called Paqueta Island, if I'm not mistaken.

So, this makes it very difficult. Furthermore, in the friendly match between Brazil and Mexico, he was even very honest, telling the referee that the ball hit him, etc., which I had never seen before.
If it related to something like that, I actually don't think it that important because everything has happened and everyone is judging by what he has done, maybe the certainty is not yet clear, but what is clear is that this creates bad perspective.

Not only for the team he is currently playing for but also the reputation of Brazilian football is increasingly being considered bad by most people, maybe he will really regret it but whatever he does will only be in vain.
Even Paqueta himself was previously reported to have received attention from Manchester City to be able to bring in and strengthen the defending Premier League champions, but now I think he must first solve the problems he is experiencing.
And I also completely agree with what @criptoevangelista said.

If are looking for certainty about things like this, I think it will be difficult because if it is about money then it is clear that the players get paid quite lot, if it is about satisfaction and lifestyle then that is also not the right reason considering the facilities provided by each team are more than Enough.
I think there are other things that cause players to make quite fatal mistakes, but it is not clear what the main reasons are that make players make mistakes that actually experience significant decline in performance.

Problems experienced by Brazilian players not only happen occasionally but have also happened several times before and this is very unfortunate because Brazil itself is actually country that has produced many great players, in fact they have many potential young players every year.
If learn from mistakes that have happened several times, it should give fear, but basically it is difficult to stop it and most players now act stupidly, risking their careers.
And the worst part of all is that he probably only told this to a group of friends who spread it to several other people. And the worst part is that someone bet just under 40 reais. This really should have been well hidden.
Of course, everything will easily spread quickly, especially if these are countries that have freedom of gambling then anything can definitely be discussed more openly.
This kind of case destroys football player career, hahaha it will definitely be very painful and just because the amount of money is not worth it he has to be willing to get into complicated problems for long time.
But we need to continue to follow how cases like this develop because bad things could happen more easily in the future if there are many different points of view caused by uncertainty.

But by the way, today there is 6th postponed match between the two bottom teams between Criciuma vs Cuiaba and this can be very fun betting option if we can really bet on good predictions.
In my opinion, Criciuma is superior in the home match and looking at the performance of the two team, it can be seen that Criciuma is much more dominant in winning this match, Cuiaba itself in the previous 6 matches has not yet won.

Acting honestly after what happened doesn't do any good... now for him it's just a matter of time before he's banned from football... a shame, because he's a very talented boy at football. If I were him, I would turn all the money into bitcoins so as not to lose everything to the lawyers... Because when he is banned from football he will be another unemployed person among the millions that exist on the planet... . I hope that the Paquetá case serves as a lesson and puts an end to all the corruption involved in this... we want to play based on real facts, betting on an environment without manipulation.

This end of sponsorship will cause serious problems for Corinthians, they are saying that the crisis could be bigger than the crisis when it was relegated to the second division of the Brazilian championship...

The biggest problem is political, not sporting... all the money in the world could come to the club, if they don't change the way of management, they will never be able to professionalize the club
Meanwhile, Lady Leila Pereira has been doing excellent management at the Palmeiras club, making the club win more titles than most other clubs. Along with Flamengo, Palmeiras can continue swimming in titles while the other clubs have poor management.

It's a deep-rooted evil in Brazilian football, these terrible managers (AKA CARTOLA [pt-br]) treat the club as if they were owners... and they keep sucking and sucking until they end everything... meanwhile, good managers take their clubs to the top, as is the case you mentioned: Flamengo and Palmeiras... They are examples of success that unfortunately other clubs cannot copy... greed and corruption speak louder.

Honestly I do enjoy to watch Serie B way more than Serie A when it comes to Brazil championship because those games are tight and very entertaining to watch. When it comes to Serie A , some games looks suspicious , some are not so enjoyable to watch and a lot of them have yellow cards but overall , winning Serie A is a real achievement because it's the hardest championship by far from South America.

As far as I know, Vaidebet is now going to sponsor the Cruzeiro team
I've been talking about this crisis at Corinthians for a few months now
Cassio has already left and I think it was a good deal for all three involved, but Corinthians had an excellent goalkeeper who could stay for many years and win titles, Carlos Miguel, and ended up losing him too
The goalkeeper is going to Nottingam Forest in England

In short, the team has lost its master sponsor, lost its goalkeeper, lost the goalkeeper who was going to take over and is now in a political crisis

There are some things in Brazilian football that are truly inexplicable...

These players are professional athletes, they have at their disposal a structure of professionals: doctors, physiologists, psychologists, physical trainers, nutritionists, masseuses... they have a club with good equipment, a balanced diet... and they train almost every day .... and to take care of personal problems they have businessmen, maids, nannies and everything that any ordinary person would like to have... and EVEN THEN THEY MAKE RIDICULOUS MISTAKES. I will never understand

I believe that the easy and "unlimited" money these high-performance players make ends up making their lives boring.
On the other hand, they need to do something different and exciting. I believe that Neymar, for example, is already addicted to gambling, and he is certainly not gambling to make more money, but because it has become a hobby.

It is difficult to understand this, many athletes would like to be in their place, and they should be an example for others, but easy money makes people do "stupid things".

But, going back to the championship... will Botafogo return to the top? For that, they only need to beat Fluminense and I believe that this can really happen, because analyzing the statistics here I noticed that Botafogo has not lost to Fluminense in more than two years.

It turns out that a life without ambition is very boring. That's why he keeps playing and moving on to other sports.

Did you see that Corinthians lost its main sponsor? But apparently VaideBet will continue to sponsor the Gaviões da Fiel fans, because they are apparently more professional.

Lots of tension between the brothers

Football players are paid very well for this, with millionaire salaries, which generates an interesting debate, has the quality of brazilian players fallen or is it falling with each passing day? Are they having too many perks and that’s why they’re so relaxed?

Is it all worth the money? Take this example, Lucas Paquetá, a West Ham player, is being investigated by the English Federation on suspicion of sports betting manipulation.

According to the investigation, it is estimated that around 60 people bet that the Brazilian midfielder would be warned by the referee in one or more of these games.

I've been following the Paquetá news for some time now, and unfortunately it seems that something is really wrong

Have you seen the bids that are being analyzed?
You can see them here: https://www.uol.com.br/esporte/futebol/ultimas-noticias/2024/06/05/jogos-lucas-paqueta-investigado-levar-cartao-de-proposito.htm

It's strange, when I saw the moves it seemed like a forced play, unnatural for the game due to the circumstances

And the worst thing is that the player earns a lot of money, and could be made an example of and never play soccer again, and on top of that he has a great chance of being called up for the 2026 World Cup

Lucas Paquetá is stupid, very stupid... What may have happened is the following: Lucas Paquetá arranged with a close friend what he could do for his friend to earn some money... maybe he had been doing this for some time... and this friend of his simply leaked the information and it spread among people and they abused the scheme and got caught... It is only a matter of time before he is banned from football, everything he spent years accumulating will be spent on legal proceedings to try to reverse the sentence, the lawyers will take everything from him. A sad end for a young man who had everything to succeed in the football profession.

But strangely, I see that the bookmakers are placing Cuiaba as the favorite and with a considerable advantage, because it has odds of 2.20 while Vitória has odds of 3.65, maybe Vitoria has a good player injured. I'm going to wait for the squad to be announced, because I intend to bet on Vitória to win this game

I saw in the news about the match that 6 Vitória players are injured, and 2 won't be able to play because they were red carded in the last match
Add that to the fact that Cuiaba will play at home, and that must be why the bookmakers are considering Cuiaba favorite

To give you my honest opinion, both teams are playing badly and it might be a 0x0 draw. They both need to improve a lot if they are not to be relegated early

But I don't have that good a guess for today. Good luck

I confess that I rarely get irritated by a football game when I'm watching it, I took a time to watch the highlights of Cuiaba's game against Vitória, I saw the video and thought: "it's not possible that had so many excellent chances to both teams scored a goal and the attackers of both teams seemed to be making mistakes on purpose ", so I went to watch more videos to see if there were more situations that could have resulted in goals, I didn't find them, maybe later there will be more highlights videos from that game, but from this video. that I saw:

source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVqlSCd3CDI

I was irritated by what I was seeing, I watched this video several times to try to understand how these guys were players from the main league of Brazilian football, even some teams from the second division in Brazil have very good players, and these guys are playing worse than the guys from the second or even third division, perhaps they are even playing worse than the amateur football guys who play on weekends with friends.

I planned to wait for vitoria to announce the squad and then I would bet on them to win, but I made a mistake and when I went to see if they had already announced the squad, the game had already finished the 1 half, which is why I didn't bet, but if I had bet, I would have lost money. but as I bet for fun so I wouldn't have a problem losing, the odds were a big temptation, Grin odds of @ 3.65 on a simple bet always sound good to me when I see that it's in a game with some chance of success. It seems to me that these two teams will be relegated, with this low talent level of the attacking players, they will be relegated

There are some things in Brazilian football that are truly inexplicable...

Those memes really do come true in those moments. It's impossible to know if they're really bad or if they're a betting scheme. Because it's impossible for players who get paid to play soccer to not be able to do the basics of their job.
