Seems there is nothing special going than a checkpoint that has been jammed earlier. A guy called Mullick have added new checkpoint and the chain goes on from that point. Anyone using any old Bitbar wallet should compile their wallets from https://github.com/Mullick/bitbar and someone should compile the updated wallet for all Windows users out here and post the compiled binaries on this thread.

Also, there's another working, synced Bitbar pool for all us supporting the chain:

BTB on maintenance on the exchanges, coindaemon status is "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers."

Can somebody tell what's going on with this coin?

My wallet has indeed started downloading the blocks.
Now i have 16 active connections to bitbarnetwork.
But i don't see the bar anymore where you see how blocks already have been downloaded.
I'm still 'out of sync'.
What can be the problem?

One can always get the Bitbar CCE explorer peers at:

http://btb.cryptocoinexplorer.com/peerinfo

Just ignore the port information and use the IP addresses

Is BITBAR still alive.
I have just downloaded the wallet, but 0 connections with the network.
Does someone have addnodes or a config file?

noirc=1
addnode=108.62.10.90
addnode=199.68.198.33:8777
addnode=104.209.105.60
addnode=76.11.216.201

Thanks for your post.
The download has started.
I have made a config file with what you posted.
Now 674 days behind and i have 1 connection to the network.
The blocks are coming in.
Thanks a lot for your help.

The difficulty is insanely high.  Why would anyone mine this coin?

What actually happened?  Why was it forked without telling anyone?

so what is the block height for the 'correct' chain ??
coinwarz is showing 103,023, but my wallet is showing  "blocks" : 104377

http://btb.cryptocoinexplorer.com/ is up to date with the current chain, coinwarz does not apper to be.

I have sent coinwarz a message notifying them of the situation and pointed a link back here for referance, hopefully they can fix their end of the Bitbar calculator.

Cheers

So this coin must be dead?  Sky high difficulty and only 33% profitable to mind compared to LTC.

so what is the block height for the 'correct' chain ??

And what happened to this coin?  The difficulty went sky high - where it is one of the least profitable coins to mine.  This was the opposite before.

What terrible organization.  Is anyone in charge of this coin?  You don't even notify the pool operators of a fork?

I think the developers have been gone for some time.

Honestly im still not sure how this fork happened. The blockchain should have reorganized.

My decision to choose which fork to support was based on the evidence I had at the time. If you have a negative balance at cryptsy for bitbar please file a support ticket and we will see what we can work out for you

Hi Mullick,

So do you think I will be able to get credit for the 50+ BTBs I mined on Hash-to-Coins during the change to the shorter chain?

here is a good pool http://scrypt.ispace.co.uk/

Unfortunately iSpace pools have too much latency for the US.
